  2. I’ll never forget Cristobal’s reaction to the Kris Hutson penalty. As an Oregon fan/alumni, I was embarrassed at the time by our head coach’s behavior and would not want my kid playing for that clown.
  3. $$$$$$ - 🤑- Six $ signs for six sick losses when favored by 20 points + 😁 Thank goodness the U's Booster Bozos Ponied Up (like SMU 😎) and took Mari-oh-oh MIA before he destroyed Oregon's brand. 🤮 -What other coach could have kept Stoned Brook in the ball game? 🤪
  4. I love Mario....he keeps providing the BEST entertainment from outside our program!
  5. I find it interesting that a guy with such a sour face, and demeanor, when things go awry recruits as well as he does. That is not what I want to see as a player, or as a major contributor to a program.

  7. This is not the first time Oregon has been a leader in pass defense stats. Way back, in the days of coach Don Reed, or thereabout, at this time of the season Oregon led the passing stats for at least the Pac-?? (not sure what the number was for the PAC, but it probably was 8 or 10). The Ducks did not have anywhere near the quality of DB's we have now at that time. The reason we had the best pass defense stats was simple. Our run defense was so bad no opponent needed to run the risk of throwing the ball. They just ran it up the middle and bead the crap out of us. I know this was the era when the beavers beat us eight years in a row with nothing more than a big fullback. There were two of them, Shilling and Pifer. Spelling may be wrong. Each of those fullbacks started as a freshman and when the first graduated the second came in. The Ducks would be ahead at half time and the beavers would just start running the ball up the middle. In those days Autzen was a mud field. If you were around then you know what I am saying is true. If you were not around then, count that among your blessings.
  8. Well, the other serious question refers to the SEC; how good are they if Ole Miss barely beat the Cougars at home?
  9. If Iowa could-have, should-have beaten Indiana....then they can beat Oregon. Better have the chin straps on tight!
  10. Our OLine has to come out road grading. I think they are the biggest offender of slow starts on the entire team and it hurts when we can't run the ball early. At the same time Will can't wait until almost halftime to figure out Iowa is loading the box. That's why you run scripted plays for the first 2 series to see their game plan for a variety of our looks. First team to 27 wins.
  11. Now keep in mind that I celebrate for any reason about Our Beloved Ducks, and if we are currently No. 1 in passing yards allowed...good. But I gotta ask...would it be the same if we were in the old Pac-12 with all the skilled passing attacks? (NO.) Does being in the Big-10 skew our defensive stats...where rushing defense yards are going to suffer, but passing defense looks good--for simply being in this conference? I say..."YES." We have yet to face an above-average passing attack this season, and won't until we play USC and the bastard Huskies. You know...former Pac-12 members? Naturally the stats are also skewed because we have not faced Ohio State, who arguably has the best passing attack in the nation at the present. Yet Oregon faced a great passing attack in Indiana, and that was not the reason the Ducks lost. So maybe we are good at pass defense? True Freshman Brandon Finney Jr. is a STUD...
  12. USC is Jekyll/Hyde candidate of the year to me. They control the line of scrimmage against Michigan one week, then they let Notre Dame run all over them the next. Their defense can generate sacks and pressure against Michigan State, then they can't lay a finger on the Illinois QB the next week. I'm not sure if Lincoln Riley is the guy to get USC up to a playoff caliber squad. Nebraska was that fringe top 25 team before losing Raiola. They just can't seem to put it together under Rhule, better than anything they've had since Pelini though. I'd say they are in that Iowa, Minnesota range. I can't see them making that leap up to the Oregon, Indiana, and Ohio State tier though.
  13. His injury is probably the only reason USC was able to come out of Lincoln with a win. His backup could not throw downfield very well.
  14. Maybe Miami has a real epiphany that it is an improvement to go from "I lose games I shouldn't" Mario to "I lose the games I should" Franklin. Nah, they think they should be winning Natty's.
  15. "Offensively, they should be more than they are.... It's an indictment on them that they're not winning with those guys." As an aside, are any other Blazers fans excited how the FBI fixed Portland's CristoBillups problem in a similar fashion as Miami helped out Oregon? Not that Mari was up to anything nefarious, but as abysmal gameday coaches holding their teams back, good riddance to each.
  16. Is Miami going to make it 13 coaches gone?

  18. It was inspired by one of the members posting on the OBD. They would say "Mario no O" So I just remove all "o"s from his name, LOL . . . Mari Cristbal
  19. Two time defending PAC Who champions!!!! It's about to become the Boise State show next year, so enjoy this run Beavis fans. Serious question though. Washington State should've beaten Virginia, and they gave Ole Miss problems for four quarters. How do they not beat the bricks off this Beavis squad behind an interim coach?
  20. Cristobal may be the Robert De Niro of the coaching fraternity. Can attract the money for his role plays, but dumb as a rock when the chips are down.
  21. Seems like the Huskers are snakebit. One week after learning Rhule will be staying long term, they lose their starting QB for the year. They are bowl eligible at the start of November for the first time since 2017.
  22. SP+ has B1G love for the Big Ten and OBD. Ohio State, No. 1, Indiana, No. 2, and OBD is No. 3! (Does Bill Connolly still have an office in Bristol?) 24. I doubt the CFB PO Committee will be in lockstep with the AP Poll. Five ways in which the rankings could differ. NOTE: The PO Committee will only have 12 members this season. Member and ASU graduate, Randall McDaniel, is on a leave of absence and has not been replaced. I agree that A&M could be ranked 1st, and Indiana could be ranked ahead of Ohio State. I also think that Iowa, No. 26 in the AP, could and IMO, should be ranked. Ditto AP No. 24 Washington. If a G6 team is ranked above or instead of these two, the Committee is kowtowing to the politics of the PO format. OBD could be ranked lower than No. 6. 7-1 is impressive, but the opposition, sans Indiana, has not been good. For PO seeding purposes, it would help if Iowa, USC, and UW were all ranked.
