DUH . . .Mr. FishDuck -
Happy 4th of July my feathered friends!! Today we witness the return of the greatest big game player in his field. That of course is Joey Chestnut. He is going for his 16th title in 18 attempts. Is he up there with the greats like Earnhardt, Tiger, Jack, Graf, Serena, Federer, Djokovic, Nadal, Mayweather, Russell, Michael , Magic, Bird, Brady, Gretzky, Orr, Belichick, Wooden, and Saban? Am I missing any?

Do Schedules of SEC Playoff Contenders Match the Odds?

I am thinking Texas (and Arch) will hear a lot of opposing crowds chanting O-VER RA-TED this year! -
That's like your opinion, Man. Way too early Week 5 predictions: Penn State v. Oregon VICTORYBELLRINGS.COM The Penn State football team's schedule starts out with what should be a warmup for the rest of the 2025-26 season. The Nittany Lions open their season with a t 4 of PSU's preseason -4.5 odds vs. OBD are likely based on home field advantage. Last season, OBD was 4-0 on the road vs. the B1G, 1-0 at the neutral site champ game vs. PSU. PSU is 12-8 in White Out games. PSU defeated UW in a White Out last season, but would have lost the WO if the WO game they wanted vs' TOSU wasn't benched by Fox. James Franklin is 1-18 vs. top 5 teams. His only win came against Ohio State in 2016. He's 3-17 vs. the top 10. Plus, he's never had to play a WO game with Forum Fanatics in attendance! Way too early Week 5 predictions: Penn State v. Do Schedules of SEC Playoff Contenders Match the Odds?

BSU being ranked higher than ASU was, well BS! But I guess ASU being picked to finish in last place in the B12 by the media poll, now disbanded, carried a lot of weight. Skattebo has scatted away to the NFL, but ASU is being picked to do pretty well in 2025. Arch has a lot of weight on his shoulders. His name seems to be the counter against the serious departures from last season to be a real contender. n the second year of the DeBoer era I'm hearing that the Tide's defense could be one of the best in the country; good enough to handle Vandy and Okie this time, not to mention, Wisconsin? -

"New Look" Pac-12: Are They Delusional, or Just Stupid?

I'll take 'Delusional' from Column A, 'Stupid' from Column B, and I most definitely do not want what the Italian guy ordered. -

So, if we take a varsity football team and fill it with junior varsity players, we can the expect to compete at the varsity level, right? The state university conference is more than a little bit delusional and clownzano sucks it up. -

Thank you, Mr. Editor, for doing your email to article magic. The SEC is doing the same thing over again in 2025 and expecting different results. Hmmm? The conference schedules in 2025 are the same, except for a change in the game venues. Georgia plays Bama, Texas, and Ole Miss at home this season instead of part of the brutal conference road schedule the Dawgs played in 2024. The media is gaga over 23andMe Archie Manning, but road games at Florida and Georgia, as well as rivalry games against Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas A&M, will challenge the Longhorns. Florida in The Swamp is a tough out, and QB DJ Lagway, and not a transfer from Yale, will likely be starting for the revenge-minded Gators. The out-of-conference schedule has three cupcakes for Bevo to trample, but as of today, Texas is a 3-point under-steer on the road vs. The Ohio State University. Texas returns zero starters at WR, and its 2024 stud TE is also in the NFL. One starter returns on the O-line. Could top 25 No. 1 preseason composite-ranked Texas miss the 2025-26 playoffs? I, of course, do not know, but I like Georgia to win the SEC, finish in the top four ranked teams, have a 1st round bye, and this season, win the Sugar Bowl and advance to the semifinals. Kirby Smart went 2-0 vs. Texas last season and repeated as the SEC champion with a schedule, as Kirby made note of to Greg Sankey while receiving the championship trophy, that was too Dawg gone difficult for any other team not named Georgia. Based on roster talent, the SEC could place four and possibly five teams in this season's playoffs, but it would not surprise me to see SEC title contenders with three losses again being stiffed by the committee. Have a great and safe 4th of July! -

I don't see the B1G, SEC or ESPN giving the new 'Pac12' a vote to being a power conference with an auto bid. G6 yes, but part if the 'Power5', never. How many of these 'Pac12' will even get votes for top 25 besides BSU? To get consideration, they will need 10+ wins and wins over Power 4 opponents. I see this conference with a lot of G5 parity, which means they will beat each other up and no one have lots of wins each year. Which means no votes. Keeping the Pac 12 name allows for keeping the previous earned millions$$ which will help pay for Beavers stadium renewal. But it will mean little to nothing on the national scale. Let's face it, even the old Pac12 with us, USuC and Udub got little respect east of the Rockies. Canzano is their only cheerleader. That's not saying much. -

David Marsh replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
And I think they are shocked that they haven't been given one yet and won't receive one. They are trying to say that because of the Pac-12's legacy they deserve to be a power conference. But the only problem is that they don't have any of the power teams that made them a power conference. -
