  1. I hope so.
  2. "Pete, who?" I'm speaking without authorization for the youth of America, and maybe even for some of their parents. The Pete Carroll era at USC was from a dim, dark, distant past that not a lot of people under -say - 40 much remember anymore. And, at 72? No Way.
  3. A new path for former college football players: NASCAR Pit Crews Are Recruiting College Football Players - The New York Times WWW.NYTIMES.COM In NASCAR, victory — and money — is often determined by seconds, one reason car racing teams are increasingly looking to...
  4. It's always 2004 for the USC fans living in a time capsule. They're like Wooderson in Dazed And Confused: "That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age."
  5. USC is always great in the off season.
  6. Oregon Ducks RB Jay Harris had a path to Eugene laden with obstacles DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon Ducks RB Jay Harris arrives in Eugene fresh from the D2 level, but his path to Eugene was far more arduous than you...
  7. I think it's funny that when players try to maximize their financial situation, some people find it outrageous. But, when coaches, administrators, anybody else basically, bargain for the most they can get, it's just fine, the way things are supposed to work. Why the difference?
  8. Bruce Feldman ranks college football's 10 toughest stadiums to play in WWW.NYTIMES.COM EA Sports College Football 25 may have Texas A&M No. 1, but LSU's Death Valley is a better choice for toughest stadium for...
  9. Hard to pick just one, but the entirety of that comment may be the best you've written, Jon.
  10. You're listening to KDUK, where the hits just keep happening.
  11. "He is supposedly funding..." "Rick Neuheisel on ESPN CFB XM said he was at a recent coaches event, and it's no secret Phil Knight is supplying Oregon unlimited NIL resources." So, we have the New Weasel saying something is no secret (something no one else is saying) and a claim of "supposedly"?. And, it's from something called "The Brobible"? Now, I'm sure Knight is dumping a lot of money into Division Street, but I would not give this click bait story an ounce of credibility.
  12. I look forward to touchdown passes from D. Moore to D. Moore.
  13. I'm pretty sure the age cut-off for calling something "dope" is approx. 25. Otherwise, eye-rolling by the youth can ensue.
  14. Nearly impossible to tell from the jump cuts and special effects, but I think I like 'em. Sort of a reveal that doesn't really reveal much.
  15. I think so, but can I let you know for sure in December?
  16. Every team is undefeated so far; getting an over-confident fan base is easy. As a card-carrying old person, I've had my heart broken too many times to even speculate about things like an undefeated season. I'd rather keep my expectations low and be happily surprised, than be whapped upside the head with a disappointing loss.
  17. Zeke From Cabin Creek, a life of great achievement that never made him the least bit happy. Jerry West, NBA legend who helped the Lakers dominate, dies at 86 - The Washington Post WWW.WASHINGTONPOST.COM Mr. West was one of the greatest athletes of all time on the basketball court, and his graceful, dribbling silhouette inspired the...
  18. 4-star OT Ziyare Addison commits to Oregon Ducks following visit DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Oregon Ducks got a commitment from 4-star OT Ziyare Addison on Monday, the No. 14 tackle in the 2025 class.
  19. Do you have to pay to get your stuff published on whatever Yardbarker is? There's no end of internet clickbait trash now that anyone is a "journalist".
  20. He certainly puts the "N" in NIL, doesn't he?
  21. I hear Altman has hired a height coach.
  22. I signed a NLI? I thought I was signing my NIL deal.
  23. Currently, there's a enormous money bubble that's inflating, among other things, big-time college football. When that bubble bursts, which is surely will, things will look much different. Different how I'm not smart enough to know, but what we have now is not sustainable.
