  1. Oregon's right at where I thought it would be before the season started. I was expecting a 2 loss season and a spot in the CFP so they're on schedule. Most of the inconsistency comes from new starters (young or old) that either hadn't started before or are starting for the first time in Oregon's systems. Consistency comes from experience in one place....that's why the OL is good but not great, 4 out of 5 guys are new and haven't really had that much time as a collective. Most of them will be gone after this season so the next will likely also be inconsistent. Multiple years in the same positions on the same team is the biggest factor for consistent performance.
  2. That definitely is a boon to play at a time that is easier on the players' body clock, especially after flying across the country.
  3. Carson Beck is getting fed up with the Miami coaching staff. You can read between the lines that the offense is being run the same as when Mario was at Oregon, no room for players to create just do as you're told. Saturday Down SouthCarson Beck throws shade at Miami coaching staff after lo...The Hurricanes' quarterback clearly believes his team held itself back during Saturday's defeat against the Mustangs.
  4. Post game media articles are getting brutal for Mario: https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/breaking-news/article/misery-index-how-much-more-disappointing-can-it-get-for-miami-044109451.html
  5. Mario giving yet another reminder that Oregon does not miss him.
  6. Yeah that's the question mark. When Dante first committed I was pretty stoked because I felt he was the most "experienced" of the top 5 QBs in that class since he had started all 4 years of high school. So maybe he would've been ready after a year of sitting behind Bo or maybe not. The only benefit of that time in UCLA was that it forced Dante to realize that he needed to re-evaluate the way he was making choices and that holding a clipboard for the first year wasn't a bad thing. Probably a touch of hubris that caused him to think he deserved a starter role right out of high school, which obviously isn't uncommon among blue chips.
  7. One has to wonder about the hypothetical scenario of if he had followed through with his original commitment to Oregon. He would've sat behind and learned from Bo his freshman year and possibly Gabriel for his second, how much more prepared would he have been coming into this season? Probably quite a bit, I think we can all agree that excursion to UCLA was a complete waste of time for him.
  8. I certainly hope so. But players coming off of major injuries tend to take quite a while to get back to where they were. It took Noah Wittington months before he was more or less performing pre-leg injury and I'm inclined to say it's this season where he's playing like his old self. Whether he had lingering physical issues or maybe recovering mentally (to where he can trust his legs again), it did take a lot of time.
  9. That’s awesome news though I hope he doesn’t rush back, health is most important. I’d also temper expectations as he’s been out for months and will probably need weeks to get back into playing shape and rhythm.
  10. That's a crazy resume for just 1 player to hold. I'm going to guess his 3 star status as a QB is simply because he hasn't been doing that position long, otherwise he might have been a 4. Should be really interesting to see how he develops over the next 2 years.
  11. I'm glad OBD responded the way they did against Rutgers. I was counting on it happening based on my score prediction, though I obviously did not give enough credit to the defense (I had Rutgers scoring 21, mostly in garbage time). Overall it was obviously a dominating effort. However there are still a couple things to nitpick: Dante's overthrowing his long range passes somewhat. The 3 TDs he tossed to Sadiq and Wittington all required them to make a diving catch to complete despite not having defenders around them. Sadiq's 2nd TD catch ended up re-aggravating the ankle he injured in the previous game. Kicking team has missed multiple FG attempts against Indiana and Rutgers, that really needs to be improved.
  12. According to ESPN he's only played in 1 game so far. ESPNAustin Novosad 2025 Stats per Game - NCAAF - ESPNThe 2025 NCAAF season stats per game for Austin Novosad of the Oregon Ducks on ESPN. Includes full stats, per opponent, for regular and postseason.
  13. Either Austin Novasad is injured or preserving his redshirt to transfer. Both scenarios aren't great.
  14. This is the kind of effort I wanted to see, just eating nails and breathing fire. Wish more of that offensive fire showed up last game but maybe that was the spark needed to get them out of complacency for the rest of the season.
  15. Hopefully that means the offense is settling down.
  16. Rutgers weak secondary is well documented. But instead of immediately attacking it they go with 2 run plays and a short pass that resulted in a fumble…😬
  17. Apparently Franklin is taking Kirk Herbstreit’s job on ESPN College Gameday.
  18. I’m looking for the offense to make this a statement game. If they don’t score at least 45 I’ll be disappointed.
  19. Vandy’s definitely in the top 15 after today’s win.
  20. Back to back INTs for the Fuskies, they’re starting to have their Miami moment.
  21. Can’t throw 4 INTs and expect to win!
  22. That would be an interesting homecoming. He did have his best years in Corvallis but like @Solar said, OSU's current status as a G5 program will make it much harder to succeed....then again his competition would also be of similar talent levels so maybe that comes out as a wash.
