  1. I think what we're seeing is Mario's bad X's & O's finally catching up to him. High school grads pay attention to what their prospective coaches are doing, especially the blue chips. I wouldn't be surprised if recruits are noticing how bad his offenses really are and how much he alters/overrules his OCs schemes and play-calling instead of letting them do their job. If I were a highly ranked QB or WR, I'd stay away like the plague.
  2. I hope he realizes better playing and possibly development opportunities under DL!
  3. One can only hope! I know the two are good friends and definitely wouldn't mind being on the same team.
  4. Now DL just needs to reel in Dylan's buddy Kamar Mothudi!
  5. Was nervous about this one. The latest was that it was really close with MSU.
  6. It's an idea that's deeply unsettling for me, I'll leave it at that. That being said, stranger things have happened.
  7. Well good luck to him, after a season or two of mediocre team play he will probably have 2nd thoughts.
  8. Seems to be short-sighted given that Arizona will struggle to get into a lower tier bowl at best and Oregon would give him the best development opportunities (and display them on bigger stages).
  9. It seems that Dylan Williams is now trending away from the Ducks after favoring Oregon recently. Maybe this is because Justin Williams may come to Eugene? Oregon Recruiting: 4-star trending away from Ducks ahead of commitment DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM 4-star LB trending away from Ducks ahead of Friday commitment
  10. It seems that somehow Elijah Rushing is increasingly likely to commit to Arizona... https://www.si.com/college/oregon/recruiting/where-will-5-star-edge-elijah-rushing-commit
  11. His size and smooth, evasive running ability reminds me of Byron Marshall. If develops into a versatile back like that then I'll take 5 more like him!
  12. One thing that's interesting to think about is the equipment logistics. All the football team's stuff is carted by long haul trucks to the visitor destination (at least for Oregon). Within the Pac12 foot print currently, all those away games can be reached within 3 days or so. But to do that as a member of the Big10? What a nightmare to calculate those costs to move all that equipment to Columbus, Maryland, etc., especially for back to back road games. A team would have to double or triple their equipment to make sure there's a set ready to go for the team when they get to each destination.
  13. One of them could be Rising since OBD picked up a crystall ball prediction for him a couple days ago.
  14. This one's a trap game for OBD. TT is sneaky good. The biggest factor working in their favor is a ton of returning experience. Much easier to start off the season on the right foot not having to coach up so much and get a jump on teams in transition. The offense will need to get situated quickly with Will Stein running things, otherwise the game will go sideways in a hurry.
  15. McRoy is a mountain of a human being. 6'8" and 360+ lbs?? I'd hate to face off against him every down!
  16. That was the best part of the article lol Thanks David!
  17. Hilarious how some commenters keep comparing UW with Alabama. As if UW has had a long and storied history of pulling large groups of 5* players year after year.
  18. SMU interest in the Dallas market should pick up significantly when they join the Pac12. Having teams like Oregon visiting regularly should pack their stadium easily as well.
  19. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect two. Baker and Rushing are the most realistic chances to grab. That's a really good day IMO. Getting a third would be a fantastic day (maybe Williams?). Overall, my gut tells me Oregon will finish with a 2024 recruiting class ranked somewhere between 6-9.
  20. He is a Rivals 3-Star, but is a player coveted by both Washington and Oregon. “I love it here,” Lopa said. “Everything is all family here and that’s a big part of me , family and the connections you get here. I’m coming to win.” 4-star safety Kingston Lopa spurns the Dawgs and commits to Oregon DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon’s gain is Washington’s loss as four-star safety Kingston Lopa commits to the Ducks via Twitter this Sunday morning.
  21. When DeBoer was hired, I was pretty surprised. I knew he was a great X's and O's coach but his career is littered with stops at smaller schools at the FCS and Group of Five level, which means he doesn't have any great recruiting connections. It's painfully showing right now.
  22. Definitely the case where a lot of UCLA fans and alumini did not like this move. Bill Walton certainly was against it. It'd be great to see UCLA come back with its tail between its legs. That being said, I'm sure Chip Kelly would prefer to compete in the Pac12 than the Big10 any day. https://www.si.com/college/cal/news/bill-walton-condemns-ucla-move
  23. Really like this pickup. Local kid with college ready size. I can see him redshirting his 1st year, play into the rotation 2nd year, then start in his 3rd year.
