  1. Hmmm, now we understand a little better why Cole Martin transferred. Must have known Dad was going to leave, but not sure where he would land, so he decided to go home to play in Arizona.
  2. Sonny Sixkiller; a kid from Oregon that did well in Washington. I remember hearing the "Ballad of Sonny Sixkiller" on the radio as a kid living in the Seattle area. That was a long time ago.
  3. Almost all of the Huskies starters will be gone. Next year will be a rebuild. Fisch only goes to Washington, if he thinks he wants to live there for awhile. If he stays at Arizona, he has a good shot at winning the Big 12 and going to the playoffs. He then becomes an even hotter commodity. I am not sure this is the best time for him to change jobs.
  4. Sounds like he wanted to be the next head coach, but was told no.
  5. If I was Fisch, I would wait for the Florida job to open up next year. Easier recruiting territory.
  6. So who would replace DeBoer at Washington? Grubbs? Kingsbury? Who else?
  7. Whoever tales the Alabama job will probably start out with a depleted roster. Most of those guys on that team signed up to play for a legend. When the legend leaves, many of them will leave as well.
  8. Before Dan Makes a decision, Greg Byrne has to make a decision. Does he love Dan as much as we do? Don't know. This is a big pressure hire.
  9. At this point in time, rumors are just the media speculating. Could Lanning be on their list? Sure. However, Dan has only been a head coach for two years. I think their administration will first try to get someone who has been a successful head coach for a little longer than two years. I am not saying that Coach Lanning could not handle the job, but this will be the most important hire of their AD's career and the pressure is on him to get it right. Will he gamble on a young guy or go for someone more proven?
  10. Don't count Novosad out of the competition for backup and future starter just yet. Patrick Mahomes was once a 3 star prospect. Star ratings don't always correspond to who turns out to be the best. Maybe Novosad transfers, and maybe he stays and competes, and maybe he wins the job. Don't write the young man off.
  11. Huge mistake by Jordan. Their offensive line showed absolutely no improvement all season. That is not just on the players, its on the coaches too. He gets to play for a Hall of Famer, but he will receive poor coaching.
  12. I have not seen much said about A'lique Terry but he really deserves some recognition. Most people thought the offensive line was a big question mark going in to this season, however, Coach Terry has this group playing great. They are a definite strength to the team. Each game they seem to improve. Coach Terry is doing an awesome job!
  13. In my opinion, Colorado's decision to go on offense first in overtime was a really bad decision.
  14. That word "arrogance" has come up many times in these discussions. What begins in arrogance often ends in shame. Walter Russell Mead Humility is the true key to success. Successful people lose their way at times. They often embrace and overindulge from the fruits of success. Humility halts this arrogance and self-indulging trap. Humble people share the credit and wealth, remaining focused and hungry to continue the journey of success. Rick Pitino

  16. The arrogance of Stanford and Cal will ultimately be their downfall.
  17. Arizona, Arizona State, Utah join Big 12: Programs follow Colorado departing Pac-12 before 2024 season - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM The Big 12 has swiped the entire group of 'Four Corners' schools from the Pac-12
  18. Oregon and Washington leave for B1G and receive between 30 and 40 million according to initial reports. Latest reports that the four corners schools will all go to the Big12 and receive full shares of just over 30 million. So 6 out of the 10 Pac teams end up getting over 30 million but when all 10 teams were together they were only worth 20 million each? Hmmm....
  19. If Oregon State and Washington State go to the Mountain West, I think they will have to make big budget cuts, dropping some sports. They are used to getting about 20 million a year in media money, dropping to the 4 million a year that Mountain West gets would be a killer.
  20. The PAC 12 Is On The Clock As Media Deal Set To Expire BROBIBLE.COM It's been a wild few weeks on the college sports realignment scene. And, at the center of all the drama is the PAC 12. The once proud conference is on its I think Apple only wanted to get into college football if they could do so cheaply. They had to have known that if their deal was not accepted, the conference falls apart. If the conference falls apart, so does their current opportunity to enter college football. However, if there is a remnant left over in the PAC, and Apple still want to broadcast football they could make an even cheaper deal, because the Mountain West media deal is only about 4 million per school. If your option is 4 million or 10 million, the PAC remnant would probably go ahead and accept the 10 million.
  21. Yes, If or when the SEC decides to go to 20 teams, the BIG12 will be raided again.
  22. Would these reports cause Apple to up their offer to keep the conference together and their potential toehold in college sports, or will they just buy ESPN?
