  1. My take is if not Oregon at #1, then who? I also was not as hyped about Georgia's win as most. They won by 2 scores, not necessarily a blowout, and if you look at how they got to 30, it was a bunch of short field opportunities they took advantage of that made the difference. Georgia 's passing game is a real weakness. They don't have elite receivers, and that is making Beck struggle. You could argue on a neutral field that OSU should be at us, by these polls mix in a dose of earning your spot by winning. So if not Oregon, then who?
  2. Georgia should not have jumped OSU. That's just recency bias It's like one fallacy builds on another. They beat Texas by 2 scores who beat a bunch of blue bloods with no offense. If not sure Georgia has an offense either.
  3. He should have clarified it's open to men and women, and he should be placing calls to both soccer teams. If the bar is going to be consistently making kicks of 40 yards or less it opens up a world of compelling options. For a female field goal kicker you could likely provide a nice NIL package due to the social interest it would generate.
  4. November CAN be bad weather, but typically it's not. January is different matter. That's why the bad weather thing is overrated. But our running game has not been dominant.
  5. It didn't help though. We get to find out how we handle it now...
  6. I think Georgia could jump Penn State, maybe.
  7. Since we beat OSU and don't play Penn State or Indiana, while OSU plays them both, we have 1 mulligan to reach the B1G championship, which basically guarantees a trip to the playoffs, even if we lose.. We absolutely control our destiny, so nobody has it better than us right now.
  8. Lanning wouldn't want to go to a school with a history of coaching failures. Coaches that failed there first and succeeded elsewhere , now a coach that succeeded elsewhere first and failed there.
  9. O = 1 The math checks out. Now we find out if the Ducks have built up an immunity to rat poison.
  10. Just like the onside kick to start the half. Georgia won't jump Oregon or Ohio State, Beck is really choppy and their WRs are a real weakness. You can say they put up 30 on Texas, but most of the points were on a short field.
  11. The dude's in the media booth watching in on the Alabama Tennessee game were dumbstruck with how ugly both teams were playing, like a solemn hushed tone.
  12. In defense of Illinois, Red Grange was a prolific scorer, especially in the era he played.
  13. Indiana only has cupcakes, and mediocre Michigan then Ohio State. I think you have to finish 11-1 or better to make the B1G championship this year. It's realistically down to us, Ohio State, Penn State and Indiana now.
  14. Indiana with the backups in now, got a turnover on downs, and drove for a score. They are beating Nebraska worse than we beat Purdue.
  15. Nebraska is the classic B1G team that gets accolades for their defense, because they play a bunch of teams with no offense. Their D is a bit above average, as Indiana is showing with their great offense. And of course Nebraska with it's B1G offense, is completely incapable of keeping up, even if Raiola was fully healthy.
  16. Tackling against tOSU was the best I've ever seen from Ducks. Vice grip tackles on 4 and 5 star skill players was amazing. Tonight wasn't as good, but the bully ball made up for it.
  17. Wait, what!? Mclallan is playing both ways? First road shutout in 32Years!
  18. Novasad in before Moore. Could be Justified vs. UCLA to keep Moore safe, but not against Purdue. Did Novasad pass him on the depth chart? Inquiring minds want to know. I've long since belief Moore will never start for the Ducks. Too Blaise and not intuitive enough, much like Thompson. I hope I'm wrong, because he has a heck of an arm.
  19. Where is Flowers anyways? Dude was expected to be in the two deep at the beginning of the year, he isn't even on the field with the backups. I see Woodyard and Turner out there.
  20. I don't know what is holding back Harris in practice, he seems good, although I could have probably scored on that last play. Harris a Limar certainly seem to want it more when they are out there.
  21. Whittington is still stuck in his head about the injury. Playing scared in a strange sort of way. If he's truly our 2nd best RB, then we need to use James sparingly through the season unless we are on track to lose. Whittington also isn't reading where to go well. I was hoping Harris would be used, but he's still behind Limar, which is disappointing. Kudos to Whittington on that catch though. Outstanding.
  22. Yeah you have no choice but to go a day ahead. The flight time combined with the time zone change, and game prep is too much, even for a late start like this one. Just sent alarms for regular West coast wake up and you should be okay.
  23. Sports science says the best way to beat the time zone change is to be there as short a time as possible. Its when your body clock tries to adjust that you have problems. So keep the trip to 24-36 hours and don't change your clocks and you'll be fine.
  24. Ducks 34-13 3 TOs 5 sacks 270yds Could be a real rough start, rough 1st half, but I'm not betting on that though.
  25. The 4 seconds lost were the difference between OSU having time to call the time out after the slide vs the game being over and it was 100% legal. Remember the Survivor series motto? "outplay, outwit, outlast" It's well known that our most elite military groups utilize every possible advantage in a tactical mission. If they would have known exactly when osama bin ladin was going to be taking a poop they would have adjusted their attack time. If it's legal, DL is looking to exploit it, and I'm all for it. I still think the UO sports science group needs to mix up a mouth rinse for our O-Line that creates the most pungent and repulsive breath, such that when they block down on you and breath in your face your natural instinct is to recoil away as fast as possible, such a stench that you can't think straight enough to defeat the block and tackle the ball carrier.
