  1. You'd have to think that short yardage/finishing drives is the biggest focus for the offense this week. Players and coaches. UW defense rises to the occasion, we need to too. Isn't it great we get one more day to prepare than UW?
  2. This is UW coach on the end of the game and how Penix is doing: Washington OC Ryan Grubb comments on Michael Penix Jr.’s health, reaction to game-winning FG SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM Washington offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb comments on Michael Penix Jr.'s health ahead of the Pac-12... I've got no further comment on this subject. We'll just have to see how he plays and how the game goes. It would really stink if he's played like crap in all of the games since we played him and suddenly balls-out against us again.
  3. Thank you so much! Who can take the points per drive and 60 minutes extrapolation data and post in Twitter per the original post in this topic? Could be both a thread with the methodology and breakdown as well as a single tweet with just comparison of the totals (pts per drive, and extrapolated totals if they'd played the full 60 minutes of every game). Header for the tweet could be: "Bo Nix and Jayden Daniels stats aren't so different once you normalize them to the number of opportunities they had."
  4. I think it will be UW 3, FSU 4, OSU 5 and Oregon 6 Texas 7 Once Oregon beats #3 they will jump to 3 due to improved SOS and SOR while, OSU will jump 4 at best as UW drops behind the Texas-Alabama. If FSU is moved lower it shouldn't matter to us, but it will be the talk of the country if it happens.
  5. So many players break the tape nowadays, but DAT was the OG.
  6. This is excellent too! Bo doesn't have to beat Jayden Daniels straight up on the stat lines, it just has to be somewhat close.
  7. This article is why we need to do this exercise! Jayden Daniels for Heisman: LSU touts QB leading 25 of 30 categories as ‘the guy, and it’s not close’ WWW.SATURDAYDOWNSOUTH.COM Jayden Daniels for the Heisman Trophy is coming down to the stretch run. Can somebody help do Jayden Daniels' game time adjusted stats like we did Bo Nix so we can get an apples to apples stat comparison to send out to the masses please?
  8. I was heartened to see them go back to putting James in for the short yardage specialty. He's so good at picking up a few yards like a bowling ball breaking through legs like pins.
  9. Awesome! Thank you so much. I'm curious how they will compare to Jayden Daniels adjusted numbers, but those numbers by themselves are outrageous!
  10. Always feel bad for the employees, but they will find another job at a better organization. I'll never shed tears over PAC12 after bedtime. It's criminal to do that to 20 year old athletes in school along with their fan base.
  11. Michigan State is also the place where they did nothing to stop the sports doctor that molested the entire US Gymnastics team after doing the same to the MSU gymnastics team for years if I remember correctly.
  12. I have assumed the same. Personally I'm from the school of thought to kick it high to the 5 yard line to bait the runner into taking it out. Analytics should show you fair catch it every time unless you need a miracle.
  13. It looks like Daniels was pulled early in games vs Grambling St., Miss State and Army. He wasn't pulled at all against Georgia State to pad his Heisman resume, which is another reason why we need to do this exercise.
  14. Thank you Log Haulin! Here are the stat multipliers for each game: PSU: 1.93 HAW: 1.76 COL: 1.40 STAN: 1.22 CAL: 1.30 ASU: 1.67 Next we need someone to pull Bo's stats for every single game, whether he was pulled early or not.
  15. I'm short on time to do this myself, but if one or more people here could help to do the following it could make a difference in Bo's Heisman voting: Step 1: Watch you tube summary video (there is typically a 25 minute game summary video) on every game Bo played and document time of game for Bo's last play, where Ty Thompson came in and relieved him the next series. Step 2: write downs Bo's stats for each game: Total yards passing Total yards rushing Total completions Total touchdowns Total Interceptions Step 3: Multiple each games stats x 60 divided by total game minutes played Step 4: Add each games playing time adjusted stats for a regular season playing time adjusted (extrapolated) stats. Step 5: Do the same for JD if he was ever pulled early during a blowout. Step 6: compare playing time adjusted (extrapolated) regular season stats. Step 7: Post comparison of playing time adjusted stats as Twitter replies to major post as a Twitter reply to a major networks Twitter posts on Bo vs. Daniels Heisman comparisons. Step 8: Send complete analysis to Oregon beat Twitter Posters like Geoff Schwartz, so they can independently verify and send out as well.
  16. It's all relative. He was the Heisman front runner through the game against Oregon. Compared to that level of play, a 55% completion percentage, nearly 3 picks, and crying off the field under a cover after a win is in possibly broken territory to me.
  17. The wiser man picked the under for both teams. Congratulations!
  18. Money quote of DM: "I just got my head around and found that ball," Manning said of the interception. "There's been so many opportunities where it's a 50-50 ball and I don't turn my head or I get a pass interference. So just going to back to work and being able to turn my head and feeling comfortable tracking the ball [made the difference]." That is huge if he can do way better with that against UW next week.
  19. As we all have seen, he just hasn't been the same since Oregon game. His confidence may be shaken. Today he played horrible making many bad throws including an almost pick at the end. After getting sacked on his final play he had his head stuck in the equipment locker before during and after the winning kick and walked off the field under a tarp straight to the locker room. I legit think he may have had a nervous breakdown. Your typically hear about players breaking from the stress then learning to love the game again and letting it all hang out. But that typically happens over the course of an off season with time away from the game with consultation with loved ones, not on a short week before the biggest game of the year. Much like Grinch getting fired, this is a real wild card to not know how things are going to go in the next game. Is Michael Penix Broken?
  20. I had the same thought. We have Heisman level QB again too.
  21. It's just that prevailing thought is A&M would a tough out, and LSU won, and they put up 42 points on offense with Jaden. That is the narrative. Penix getting out-duelled by Ward is enough to say he is no longer in contention, meaning he can't catch Daniels. He just got picked as I write this. OSU losing with Marvin Harrison Jr. Having merely a good game means he's out. It's really down to Bo and Daniels at this point.
  22. Perhaps the more impressive stat, the result of holding them to such low rushing yards is that it was turnover on downs for HALF of their possessions (4/8) We did that against a big bruising running back, a very effective and physical running QB and one of the best Olines in the conference.
  23. If the contracts were written in such a way that by us voluntarily leaving the conference we give up certain revenues then so be it. Let's let our lawyers compete with their lawyers to discover the truth though.
  24. OSU has a few really good players. I wonder how many we will be interested in and how many would bite on the rationale "if you can't beat them, join them."
  25. Have Bo Nix practice place kicking this week to pad his Heisman argument in the CC game. Yes, I'm kidding.
