  1. I saw a YouTube video of two guys that are Michigan fans, but have covered the Ducks extensively. They had a few major points. Michigan can't tackle in space and so Oregon's typically offensive scheme should have a lot of success. Also Michigan is incapable of throwing the deep pass consistently or effectively. Oregon typically takes a nothing over the top approach, but perhaps being more aggressive in the short pass game will be the better approach and has the secondary effect of loading the box against the run.
  2. We certainly mentioned him at the beginning of the season when OL recruiting and play was in the dumps. I'm glad he has been turning it around.
  3. At least this one will work itself out when OSU and IU play each other.
  4. I've seen lots of familiar faces across the power 4...face I never wanted to see again.
  5. I think they discussed that the missed facemask ended an earlier drive for Illini, so they determined it would be the perfect make up call to pick up the flag. And it really was. They got 3 points out of it.
  6. Washington was not noteably bad for penalties under DeBoer. It's like strict St. Nick retired and DeBoer is the substitute teacher and everyone is goofing off.
  7. "Ducks aren't getting any breathers in the brutal B1G conference." What is this dude yapping about? UCLA, Michigan State and Purdue were breathers. There was nothing brutal about them. I do think we are getting a credibility bump by winning against B1G teams that are clearly trash compared to most of the PAC12 teams we played last year with all the elite QBs. Parity is what is brutal. B12 and SEC are getting the full parity experience this year that we endured for a decade in the PAC12. At least they have the luxury of a 12 team playoff to bail them out, that we never had.
  8. Unless you're Cole Hocker...dude ran a sub 50 second last lap to win the Olympics 1500. I wish someone got a split of his final 100 meters, it was likely in the 11s. He's super human.
  9. I hadn't thought about the Illini keeping us out of the conference championship, but realistically they are the last team on our schedule that could possibly do it. Who would have thought they would be our second most important B1G game this year?
  10. As long as we don't end up on Peacock again I'm good..
  11. My take is if not Oregon at #1, then who? I also was not as hyped about Georgia's win as most. They won by 2 scores, not necessarily a blowout, and if you look at how they got to 30, it was a bunch of short field opportunities they took advantage of that made the difference. Georgia 's passing game is a real weakness. They don't have elite receivers, and that is making Beck struggle. You could argue on a neutral field that OSU should be at us, by these polls mix in a dose of earning your spot by winning. So if not Oregon, then who?
  12. Georgia should not have jumped OSU. That's just recency bias It's like one fallacy builds on another. They beat Texas by 2 scores who beat a bunch of blue bloods with no offense. If not sure Georgia has an offense either.
  13. He should have clarified it's open to men and women, and he should be placing calls to both soccer teams. If the bar is going to be consistently making kicks of 40 yards or less it opens up a world of compelling options. For a female field goal kicker you could likely provide a nice NIL package due to the social interest it would generate.
  14. November CAN be bad weather, but typically it's not. January is different matter. That's why the bad weather thing is overrated. But our running game has not been dominant.
  15. It didn't help though. We get to find out how we handle it now...
  16. I think Georgia could jump Penn State, maybe.
  17. Since we beat OSU and don't play Penn State or Indiana, while OSU plays them both, we have 1 mulligan to reach the B1G championship, which basically guarantees a trip to the playoffs, even if we lose.. We absolutely control our destiny, so nobody has it better than us right now.
  18. Lanning wouldn't want to go to a school with a history of coaching failures. Coaches that failed there first and succeeded elsewhere , now a coach that succeeded elsewhere first and failed there.
  19. O = 1 The math checks out. Now we find out if the Ducks have built up an immunity to rat poison.
  20. Just like the onside kick to start the half. Georgia won't jump Oregon or Ohio State, Beck is really choppy and their WRs are a real weakness. You can say they put up 30 on Texas, but most of the points were on a short field.
  21. The dude's in the media booth watching in on the Alabama Tennessee game were dumbstruck with how ugly both teams were playing, like a solemn hushed tone.
  22. In defense of Illinois, Red Grange was a prolific scorer, especially in the era he played.
  23. Indiana only has cupcakes, and mediocre Michigan then Ohio State. I think you have to finish 11-1 or better to make the B1G championship this year. It's realistically down to us, Ohio State, Penn State and Indiana now.
  24. Indiana with the backups in now, got a turnover on downs, and drove for a score. They are beating Nebraska worse than we beat Purdue.
  25. Nebraska is the classic B1G team that gets accolades for their defense, because they play a bunch of teams with no offense. Their D is a bit above average, as Indiana is showing with their great offense. And of course Nebraska with it's B1G offense, is completely incapable of keeping up, even if Raiola was fully healthy.
