  1. I could a sworn after the game when Harbaugh shook Odunze's hand he said "I'll be bringing you with me to the Chargers."
  2. Washington beat Oregon and Texas playing their best ball. They made critical errors against UM that killed drives. That being said UM is the best team in the country this year, and 8 times out of 10 we would have lost to them. Both these teams will lose a bunch of players and maybe even their HCs next year while we will likely improve everywhere except possibly the DLine.
  3. Washington kept it respectable most of the game in spite of their mistakes, but ultimately lost. Oregon HC with the great GameDay and halftime analysis commentary just letting college football know we aren't going anywhere. What a great end to the season!
  4. He killed it at halftime too. Dan-with-a-Plan Lanning: Win a Natty at Oregon, then go into retirement and become a commentator. In seriousness this is the best thing he could possibly do as a coach to keep Oregon in everyone's mind during the NC even though we aren't even playing.
  5. Agree 99%. Only exception is Kasper. He never comes down with the ball. If I'm going to go with someone like that I'd pick Lowe, the legacy kid who has flashed way more in his limited play.
  6. You're not wrong, but fortunately there is only one Michael Penix, and he won't be on UW's roster going forward.
  7. Oh wow, I thought for sure he was headed to Auburn. They must have come up with a solid NIL deal to keep him.
  8. I've thought about whether or not I should root for the Huskies or not. I will only root for them as far as it benefits the Ducks, in that they are the only team we lost to all year. Working with that, I want UW to be competitive, keeping the outcome in doubt until the 4th quarter, showing that they are a great tough team, FPI and recruiting stars be darned. I don't want them to appear dominated, which would make people disregard UW success as just another TCU type team. BUT I DON'T WANT THEM TO WIN!
  9. Bassa was not good in prior years, but he significantly improved this year, and combined with his stellar leadership and lack of portal transfers, this has turned out to be a really big deal. The only question marks left of on the 2024 roster are the big boys in the middle of the DL..
  10. USC only needs a solid backup QB. They have a clear starter, that makes the TP a bit different for them. They will have to look for a Dante Moore type situation of someone young with high potential just looking for development not playing time, which is very very rare.
  11. Penix is the most accurate passer I've ever seen, and a baller. Any really good team would be a fool not to pick him up in the back half of the first round.
  12. I've been mulling this one over a bit. Texas was a bully ball type of team like Michigan. They don't have as good of a pass defense per stats, but let's be honest, the coverage a saw from Texas in the Sugar Bowl was crazy tight, but it didn't matter. And Texas pash rush is statistically pretty good but they got no sacks and the hurries were innefective. The thing that stuck out to me most was Texas consistently getting 7-12 yards per run, but kept trying to pass. I think UW were giving them the run and Texas was too stupid to take it. BUT I do think the key to this games is how well UM runs the ball. If the running game is working for Michigan they will be more than happy not to throw a single pass and be unstoppable every possession, even if they are down a couple of scores in the first half. I think this the reason UM is -4 on the spread, and I will go with that too with full realization that the game is nearly a toss up.
  13. Roderick Pleasant was 5'9" 180 out of high school. I don't know if he has gotten any taller. Of course elite speed and probable elite jumping ability can help overcome that.
  14. Next year will be a good year seeing B1G and SEC powers travel outside their comfort zone.
  15. Johnson was also mismanaged. He played through a ligament injury and paid the price by tearing it all the way through. He's done for the season.
  16. It looks like FSU made good on their threat not to show up to the Orange Bowl. In all seriousness, they would have been better served to not show up physically. Penn State putting up decent numbers against Ole Miss on offense...SEC defenses this year are blah.
  17. They had the 133rd strength of schedule out of 133 though. B1G talk shows on you tube are very dismissive of the line play of Liberty, but I'm not so sure they are right about the OL. I think the 17 points spread is about right. Both teams are basically full strength, and it's simply a matter of who shows up. As long as Oregon shows up, they will win.
  18. His HS film is crazy. He is literally a giant among peers. He is athletic for his size, but he is so big I don't think he could ever be effective as a tackle to defend against edge rushers. He will benefit from a S&C program that builds his ability to bend and build power for a strong base and cut the weight as he intends to do.
  19. Bizarre. I used to play against West Linn in basketball when they were 2A in the mid 90s. I just played basketball to stay in shape through the winter between football and track seasons. They were good though. I wasn't used to playing against teams that could consistently play above the rim, but they could. But the level they are at now is impressive.
  20. If there is any defining characteristics for the B1G this year it is the lack of offense, but good defenses. Even Ohio State has a bad offense this year. Michigan may be the only team with a great offense. Dare I say it, the defining characteristic of the SEC this year is VERY average defenses and QB play (with exception of the Heisman winner). Missouri offense was unstoppable in SEC play this year and could barely do anything against OSU despite having 50 thousand chances. Jayden Daniels, astronomical numbers despite being average in the PAC12.
  21. They are simply a good O-Line away from being a playoff team. Their O-Line was horrible. Like Venetian blinds pass blocking, and completely incapable of creating anything resembling a rushing lane.
  22. You neglected to mention Miami is about to lose to Rutgers.
  23. At some point you have to believe that while Oregon coached were building the future of Oregon by focusing on recruiting, that Washington coaches were busy scheming how to kick our a** a second time. Maybe this is one of those adjustments DL is going to have to make. There are simply going to be times they have to tell the recruits "we love ya, but we need to focus on the game, so it will be radio silence for the big game week."
  24. I would put a slight clarification on the ending: "Milroe was down!"
  25. To the O.P. just look at the numbers: 4 players brought in from the portal, 9 left, and 25/26 recruits signed. If you compare this to last year, holy cow, next year we won't lose or gain anyone from the portal. That won't happen, but you get the idea. In defense of your emotions, I grew up a big Trailblazer fan, with Clyde, Jerome and some other staples. When free agency hit and rosters turned over every 3 years with trades, I lost interest in the NBA all together.
