Oregon Ducks Football: 3 Keys to Beating Texas Tech
I would like to see the Ducks outcoach TT. I think that is a key to this game. Better scheme, better adjustments, better decision making and time management than TT coaches. If we do that, it will nullify the home field advantage for TT.

Prediction Contest vs. Texas Tech for the Our Beloved Ducks Forum!
Not only does TT have Tyler Shough, they also have Tim DeRuyter for their DC. At best their defense is as mediocre as ours has been, but our offense is way better than theirs. I'll take 45-24 Ducks over TT. Somehow I think the O/U should be higher, but that's my guess. 45-24 3 TOs 340 Passing yards.

Lubbock Tx Weather Forecast
Our locker rooms will be temp trailers?! Anybody want to start a betting pool on the odds the AC "breaks" in one or more of them?

Oregon Faces Big Road Test in the Lone Star State
One of the knocks on Nix at Auburn was poor play in away games. I certainly hope he is past that issue, but it could raise it's ugly head. Against OSU at the end of the game, Bo really missed a wide open TE on 3rd down that resulted a punt that was muffed for 7 points and got OSU back in the game. Does Bo make that throw at home? I don't know.

What IF the B1G Did NOT See This Coming?
Fun to ponder. I'm also pondering how well the air raid will work in late November. Wisconsin just switched to it. I recall that UW WSU game in Pullman where WSU was the better team that year, but the snow just took out their offense and they lost.

Fast-Twitch on Display and Offensive Pundits (Whew!)
The only thing about Stein that I'm still a little nervous about is the route trees. I don't get the sense they stress the secondaries as much as Dillys' did. Maybe not as many rubs or something. It just seems harder for multiple receivers to get separation or find soft spots in the zone like we saw last year and we see with USC. It's still a small sample size though. Hopefully it turns out to not be a thing.

It's a Fact: Games Have Been Shortened to Add Commercials.
Chip Kelly calls clock change 'crazy,' cites commercials AMP.AWFULANNOUNCING.COM Notice how every broadcast was still a 3 hour and 30 minute window. They said they are doing it for safety, but with all the realignment decisions we know they did it for the money. More commercials, more money.

Thoughts on Texas Tech
A special thanks is in order for Wyoming taking Texas Tech into OT to wear them down and show us the recipe how to stop Texas Tech's offense.

Week 1 Thread for Non-Oregon games
Wouldn't it be great for the PAC12 to sweep week one? I can't watch UCLA play because Spectrum and Disney are still fighting. If this doesn't get fixed soon I'm going to miss some Ducks games or have to get fubo tv...in the meantime I'm sure spectrum will prob eat refund the Disney portion of my cable contract for now...yea right.

Let’s Grade the Position Groups vs. Portland State
The reason we set a record for points is the depth this team now has. You start playing the second string and nothing changes, third string and it slows a bit but keep rolling. And that many points with the shorter game time from the new rules. Pretty crazy. I did see Oklahoma beat an FCS 70-0 today though.

Prime Experiment Working?
Colorado passed the eye test for a first game of the season. Yeah TCU's D is trash like last year, but Colorado executed at a high level. Colorado will suck the oxygen out of the room in the PAC12 for the preason. The hype for our game with them will be intense.

GameDay Thread versus Portland State: Join Us!
Tuioti and Lupoi both need to be replaced if we want our D to be the best it can be. Great people and good recruiters, but...the coaching and play calling is not good enough. I think Hampton takes over before the end of the year, just like Saban did to Lupoi at Bama.

GameDay Thread versus Portland State: Join Us!
Zero penalties in the first half of the first game for both teams! Wow, that's impressive.

GameDay Thread versus Portland State: Join Us!
Boettcher, local guy, walk on, played fantastic in the spring game and STARTED at LB, although he came out after a few snaps. Just made the recovery as a gunner. He's a total baller playing way above his projected abilities and I think Lanning recognizes that and is rewarding him with playing time. With a little luck he'll earn a consistent role and a scholarship. Gotta root for him!
