I LOVE it!! I have written that several times in OBD forum. Thank you Charles!! The Beavis had every opportunity in their two best years in 2000 with their Fiesta Bowl and national ranking. Two years where they helped to contribute to the coffers of the Pac. USC, UW, UCLA, even new member Utah, and of course OBD have continually subsidized their mediocrity so they can invest in baseball (no market value). It was said on CBS news yesterday morning the two sports that make money for every scook are: football and men's basketball. OBD have put in the effort for the Pac. So I say good riddance to the mismanaged conference! And as many of you know the Beavis is also one of four schools that had overriding powers to hire: Lounge Suit Lawrence Scott. Thanks again the Beavis for breaking the Pac. Eat the pie that you had a hand in making!! Let's go UW lawyers! Get the money that the schools that are leaving deserve! They can have the revenue they generate in 2024...

They should have done so when they had Erickson as their coach in 2000! They should have delved into NIL when it was allowed. They should have expanded their stadium with the money they received from the conference years ago. They should have done a LOT of things but whine and complain about Uncle Phil money. What they've done was go all in on sports that generate little to no revenue. They're not wanted by other conferences because they have no media footprint and not a single big conference is willing to share the monies with that kind of member. Say what you will about Nike. Phil knows about marketing and hiring good marketers. I'm glad we have Knight as an alumni over the Resers. GO DUCKS.

That was one of the best games I ever attended at Autzen. It was so deafening that my ears rang for two days after. Autzen was electrifying in all black! PSA: if you attend this game bring some bright clothing to change into post-game for safety. Drivers wull need to see you while you're crossing the streets.

It started with Chip Kelly putting them in their place and calling them out on every stupid call they made. He was merciless on their incompetence. Before that I thought they were mostly fair. After that not so much when it came to OBD. Away games were bad but home games were even worse. In spite of all those calls Chip, WT, MC, and now DL have fought through and have ended up with winning records against them. OBD will just have to endure for four more games then they'll get a fresh start in the B1G. My 2 cents.

I like them better than the pink that OBD usually sport for the Cal game! Like I yelled during CGD when MSU was here: we own ALL green and yellow...many shades and combinations!

The best thing that can happen for OBD is the Fuskies win and they play OBD in Las Vegas. I just have a sinking feeling they will lose to the Beavis in Cowvallis--that will put OBD out of the playoffs.

This was lost on Liesure Suit Larry! As I have said before the top teams in the Pac should NEVER play a late game so they have exposure. The only reason the Pac was ever overlooked is no one in the Eastern time zones watched because of the knucklehead at the too! We now don't have to worry about it but LSL did fleece the Pac for revenue...

Nice article Charles! IMO coach has the grey matter to get the job done. He has that working list of coaches he has worked/wants to work with and has built a great staff. The recruiting has not dropped off since the last two Florida phonies. He has developed the players better than the last two. He has learned from his missteps--unlike the last two. There appears to be no ceiling with coach which will only show the players that they too have none. We have seen true freshman play and thrive in this system. If OBD have them for three or more seasons under this NIL umbrella? We will see more playoffs than not! I usually give three years for a new coach but DL has proven in 1.5 that he's the next big thing at Oregon. The B1G got the best deal picking up Oregon and Washington! Thanks uncle Phil for making it happen!!

Yes, maybe GK has learned to schedule times for the best teams in the Pac earlier in the day so the rest of the country can have a look-see? Dumbluck? I hope to never see the top 4 teams in the pac play an "afterdark" game the rest of the season! That is just promotional idiocy.

Fuskies were actually at home and nearly lost to the Devils...but attribute that to Penix being hurt from the week before and ASU continuing to hit Penix. Every team that gets to him from now on will have a better chance to beat them! The Ducks were trying on their new shoes Nike Air Cement in the first quarter and decided to play with lighter ones for the rest of the game...

I agree with this statement! Penix was in pain by the middle of the 4th against OBD. If the Beavis continue to hit him he will not be available for Fuskies v OBD in Lost Wages!!

I love the fact that they DON'T acknowledge that PK donates money to their school (UW and WSU too). When UO, UW, And UU make big bowls they bring additional money to the coffers! OSU has had how many big bowl appearances? How have they contributed these last 20 years? Maybe they are the true Oregon team...of the 80s.

It's what all Beavs and Cougs are hoping happens...My question for Beavs is why did it take until last year for your administration to invest in the sport that makes other college sports possible?? What did you do with all the money the conference was getting since 2000,? Saving it up because you didn't want to be in debt and now you want to take the money away from the other schools that have earned it for the conference?

Maybe? As crappy as the Pac is, it still manages to dash the hopes of any team trying to make the playoffs...Preparing to play one or two teams a year isn't a big deal (UO v tOSU) but the season grind is different. I don't think either of those teams make it through a nine game schedule here unscathed.

Yes, they looked pedestrian against Bama. They looked great last night but is that just an indictment against the great Harbaugh team from the B1G? Funny how only non-SEC schools care about violations. Didn't one or more of the SEC schools just tell the NCAA that they were not going to abide by the sanctions? NS hardly ever came out of any game. He was hurt a few times and wasn't allowed back. He was on the field more than any other defender, that I remember seeing. Kid is a beast. Flowe is good but his sample size is very small comparatively. He has been hurt early into two seasons. I would take nine Sewells over one Flowe or even KT.
