  1. I believe our defense will be better than 2019. As far as offense I believe the run will be our strength, the QB will be asked to manage the game while taking shots downfield. Basically the SEC model. If our QB can limit the turnovers the more passing their will be. I don't have a clue what the number of points we will score but I know our defense is going to help it with turnovers and good field position. I don't believe there is going to be any issues in game by staff or players. They will hit the ground running. They are not having to do anything they haven't done before. I believe we are going to be at a minimum 10/2. With our talent and experience we are going to shock the naysayers.
  2. Jon I agree it's a mess but isn't this what we need from NCAA to bring some kind of order to the NIL?
  3. Just read a fantastic article on duckwire by Zachary Neel 2/18 titled " Watch : Dan Lanning shows  moment he asked Carlos Locklyn to join the Ducks coaching staff". In it there's a surprising and unique take on the fact that this is extremely rare in coaching circles. Showing a video of the hiring of any of the staff. DL is doing so. Another first for him. Kudos! But the most amazing fact is the amount of Coach Locklyn players that are in the NFL. I had no idea Coach Locklyn is the real deal and I can't see how any 5* recruits wouldn't be lining up to play for us. On the video u hear his former players thanking him for getting them in the league and especially, the being hard on them. I think we are witnessing something new being done by DL on every facet of the game. It can't help but produce results that will be amazing. Go Ducks Fly High

  4. Alright here's the experience that the WR room needed. Whether he plays a starting role with great production or he helps our uber talented sophomore (when u usually get exponentially better than any other time in your career) WRs do their best. It's a win/win situation. Another ✔ off the list. The football gods are happy .
  5. My take on our league and commissioner is that the only way to 8 games before current TV obligations 2024 was for the big 10 to agree. It sounds to me it could still happen at a later date. It really needs to happen. It hurts us more than we can imagine. The toll on our players alone is the worst. I believe it gives the SEC, ACC and ND a huge advantage in getting to the PO. I guess the big 10 thinks it will hurt their SOS. I believe that insane but maybe they know more than I.
  6. We will have one of the best defenses in the PAC ( possibly the country) especially if Flowe is ok. This will help our offense. As far as the offense Kenny has called plays before so believe he will be fine out of the gate. He even has more talented and experienced players. I believe we are going to operate at a high level
  7. I encourage everyone to show up at the spring game. 55+ K fans would send a message to the rest of the country. It would be the best for our ton of top recruits that are going to be there. It would inspire our current team and coaches and show them that we believe in them. Go Ducks Fly High
  8. According to the article on on3.com by Jeremy Crabtree from yesterday. We are in the top spot for 5* QB Iamaleava as estimated by the experts. He says he will decide in April.
  9. I just read an interesting article on on3.com by Jeremy Crabtree from yesterday. It's titled Border Battles. It talks about the top recruits in our footprint and their current recruitment status by PAC/national schools. We are looking good
  10. I just saw an article on cbssports by Dennis Dodd 2/16 1:23 p.m. EST. College Football Defenses Finally Claw Back As Some Offensive Averages Reach Lowest Points In A Decade. I believe this explains some of the criticism of offensive production.

  11. Who will the 1st domino to sign. I believe the thought is to get a top QB committed then others will follow. My hope #1 Iamaleava #2 Rashada #3 ????????
  12. I believe his idea was to use the TEs as mainly blockers to run the ball. By doing that he had an extra 2 blockers every play.
  13. Thanks for the update. Can't wait for spring ball to start. Go Ducks Fly High
  14. They have won 2 nattys in BB.
  15. I thought you could bring in transfer a by up to 7 if that amount transfers out. At my count we are at 6 or 7 out only 4 in.
  16. Some it will help some it will hurt. Either way it's up to them and the coaches. What I don't like is the other coaches and boosters contacting players to transfer. I don't see any way to stop that tho.
  17. He's a big body that can be a back up on defense. I don't believe as a transfer he would effect 85 scholarship number. If this helps get a 5* OL to come it sounds pretty smart to me.
  18. Huh? This must have went over my head.
  19. I wouldn't like it. I don't like playing CK the last several years and how much longer. I don't like kicking a dead horse lest it bites you.
  20. I agree. There's nothing wrong with talking. It's take what you want and leave the rest. I would hope that our prior players would be integral in helping with recruiting. Being a mentor with being in college, the pros and post football life. It's one thing to hear it from the coaches but to hear from a previous player to me can hold more weight. Thus I believe it's very important to have relationships with former players.
  21. Absotutely love it. If we beat Utah and I don't see why not they are losing their difference maker best offensive player in Covey, we're playing in Autzen and DLs defense will be nothing they have seen before. That's 12/1 with our only loss to UGA and it's on baby.
  22. Alabama also has the best top tier QBs. Also 5 star RB WR TE OL and of course defense. This also describes UGA tOSU even OK and makes a big difference in comparison with us, the PAC 12 and the other 120 schools in the country. I know a lot of you think we didn't score because of MC. Although I will stipulate some of the criticism is founded, IMHO not all of it not by any great measure. Read what his players have to say. I believe they know more than us fans about what went on with the team this last 4 years, outside of a couple of quitting on the team transfers anyway.
  23. Sorry it was Duck digest
  24. I don't believe so. We didn't have anything like last year in the MC coaching career here at OBD. Also the NCAA mandates less physical activity in practices. I just read 3 posts by KT, McKinley and G Moore talking about the practices and how it was iron strengthens iron and how it helped them be better players. And not one mention about how bad MC was. They all have very high praise for him as a coach and person. They were proud of all of everyone building the Ducks back to where they are today. I believe they know more than us fans about what went on with the team and their coaches.
