GameDay Thread: Ohio State vs. Indiana!
“This is just a football game,” Cignetti told College GameDay’s Jessica Sims. “60 minutes between the white lines. We’ve got a veteran group, right? We earned the right to be here. There’s no magic wand. We’ve got the largest victory margin, in college football, right? There’s a narrative out there that’s created another chip for us. “People can stick that narrative up their you know what.”

Lanning to the NFL? I Don't See It.
Exactly. Chip's style didn't work, he just didn't know. Kirby & Dan show every indication that they're perfectly happy where they are. Just looking from afar as we do, the contrast between being a head coach in the NFL is huge. The NFL is corporate. College is getting more of that, but the players are still kids. The NFL is grown men, and a GM and owner, looking over everything the coach does. You would be coaching the best football players in the world in the NFL. But I think Lanning is really liking the players he's getting to work with at Oregon.

The SEC is Mad and They Aren't Going to Take it Anymore!
Even with the 8 game advantage Georgia's schedule is tougher than Indiana's. The only way Indiana should get in the Playoff is the Automatic bid.

Trouble in Paradise re BIG TV Deal
I'm with you to, Jon. There have been historical games played in the snow, college and the NFL, the "Ice Bowl" between Green Bay and Dallas. The reason the NFL insists on sunny and warm for the Super Bowl isn't out of concern for the players, it's for the rich fans that can afford the tickets and whoever the halftime entertainment is.

What if Indiana Beats Ohio State?
I agree it isn't their fault. But, as the idiom goes, it is what it is. Oregon and Indiana are both undefeated, that's the beginning and ending of the comparison between the two undefeated seasons. From the first game to the end of their 8 game gauntlet, Oregon has dealt with pressure, faced adversity, and come out on top. The closest Indiana has come to pressure to keep its undefeated season intact, is to contain Michigan's offense and preserve a 20-15 victory. Now, facing the biggest game in Indiana football history, most believe that the pressure is all on Ohio State. As long as Indiana doesn't get blown out, they're still golden. They won't have to play in the CCG, leave that to Oregon. They're used to pressure.

Todd McShay Knows Exactly How the Indiana - Ohio State Game Will Go!
Remember this is the guy who WARNED NFL teams to not even consider drafting Justin Herbert! As for the prediction on the game, refer to Charles Dickens. "Many different ways to play Saturday’s B1G clash b/t No. 5 Indiana and No. 2 Ohio State on @FDSportsbook. Here’s what I know… OSU is bigger, faster, stronger and deeper, but IU is the most efficient, clean team I’ve seen on tape this year! Hoosiers should score early and frustrate OSU for 2-3 QTRS. But look for OSU’s D to lock things down eventually and the Buckeye’s run game to wear IU down late. I view this as a tale of 2 diff halves. Do with that info as you please!

The SEC is Mad and They Aren't Going to Take it Anymore!
Listening to Cowherd, I know, I know. But I need something to drown out the leaf blower. He was talking about the Indiana @ Ohio State game. and one of the things I heard him say was, "Indiana is similar to Oregon." unfortunately I didn't catch what the similarity was. What I did hear though was when he said, "All the pressure is on Ohio State". He is right about that, and everybody knows how Dan has done in important games. But shouldn't there be at least some pressure on Indiana?

The SEC is Mad and They Aren't Going to Take it Anymore!
So Saeth, Saban: "I think Ohio State and Oregon, the top teams in the Big Ten are just as good as the top teams in the SEC. But the SEC is so much deeper," Saban said on "The Pat McAfee Show" Friday. "There's 8 or 9 teams that have been in the top 25 this year, and they're all playing each other and they're beating each other. You have a 2-loss team like Georgia that has played five top-25 teams and they have two losses. That's a little different than playing no top-25 teams, or not beating any top-25 teams like some teams in the Big Ten"

Oregon Comes Back from Down 12 to Beat Oregon State 78-75
The shooting did turn out better than it seemed, but in this one, and against Portland, the Ducks are sending up the 3's too quickly, try, try again, doesn't seem like a strategy they want to keep going with this season. The real problem laast night though was rebounding, which more than anything else depends on effort. The Ducks ended up getting outrebounded, 38-30. Inside of that, the Beavers finished with 17 offensive rebounds, the Ducks with 7. At one point it was OSU 12 Oregon 0, so the the offensive rebound surge for the Ducks was a crucial ingredient in the comeback.

Lanning’s Most Crucial Defender is ALMOST Finished…
Edge rushers, recruiting, championships will win. From Smart young Lanning learned he did. Lanning has infiltrated the B1G with an SEC West philosophy that caught Oregon's opponents completely off guard. This isn't the Oregon Ducks they've heard about. Winning the trenches! Oregon doesn't do that. They're finesse, they win "in space" Edge rushers are incredibly important, and the Ducks are loaded enough that without Jordan Burch in the lineup they beat Ohio State, and Matayo Uiagalelei has picked his game up. Elee has to like the situation at Oregon.

Oregon Comes Back from Down 12 to Beat Oregon State 78-75
Three 3's in a row for Shelstad, which is great. But he'll be even better when he can make other shots in a game.
