He's not getting a new deal. The NBA is the worst. I cannot watch an NBA game anymore. Back in the 70's, Walt Frazier and the Knicks were my first favorite team. The' 77 Blazers, NBA Champs, started the next season, 50-10, before they were crippled by injuries. "Showtime" with Magic and the Lakers and Bird and the Celtics, in the *80's. Jordan and the Bulls in the 90's, with the Pistons and the Knicks. Now, it's Load Management. The Commissioner knows that interest is down for the regular season, so now there's a mid-season Playoff. Of course, with $$$ for the winning team. The NFL finally realized their All-Star game was a joke, so they replaced it with NFL players playing Dodge Ball. The NBA is still playing the game, kind of. Mario, "taking his talents to Miami" has actually been a great thing for Oregon and its fans. No matter who the coach was they'd have the record they have now and it's ridiculous they're being praised for it and are heading towards the Playoffs.

I thought a slight change to the title of the article made more sense. One of the things Lanning has learned early on as a head coach is Coach Speak. Exactly. So, I don't see it as being snookered, instead it's a huge, backhanded compliment to the Oregon Brand. Especially, since this game and later with Washington shouldn't be competitive, but the Oregon Brand will get viewers.

Absolutely agree. Alabama doesn't play games @ Southern Alabama. I actually think most Beaver fans don't want to play Oregon again, they probably grimaced, while Oregon fans grinned at Bray's post game comments. The coaches, admin are responsible for what happened to the Conference of Champions. Oregon State & Washington State didn't attract the B1G or the 12, Cal & Stanford had to go across the country and join the ACC. Oregon State has nothing to fear but fear itself, but I'm afraid that it's their fault.

Just to clarify, the B1G is the most "overrated" because everybody knows what the ACC is, except for Clemson and media darling Miami, though Cal did beat Auburn, and the Big 10 is bigger than the Big 12.
