  1. I feel like this is the nexus of Mario's coaching disconnect. His Plan is to be a dominating team, but his play has been anything but that, Personal fouls, more often than not a timeout called before or after the first offensive play. His choice at QB is supposed to be the no fuss, game manager, but AB has a very low ceiling and many obvious flaws. However, Oregon has been successful under Cristobal, With every win he becomes more certain that everything is working fine, a loss just means they have to work harder. The problem is, what are they working at? We recognize a Style of play from every other team in the conference, but Oregon, who a few short years ago was the most recognizable team in the country now looks like something put together on the fly. I've seen reports that Mario was very disturbed by the booing. I understand that. He and his family have bought in to Oregon completely, he bleeds green & yellow, The team is in the top 10. But still something is off, and as long as Mario keeps going like everything is fine, the frustration, and booing, will continue.
  2. Is this ridiculous? Was his contract with A & M overseen by a beer taster?
  3. It wouldn't be to Alabama, but could Mario end up back in the SEC?
  4. This is supposed to be inspiring. But isn't it kind of depressing?
  5. That was bad from the start and just got worse. The Ravens have a defense, the Chargers don't, Good time for the Chargers Bye next week.
  6. What we can gather from all this is that with all the "Tradition" at USC, they are not exactly a magnet for top coaches. Carroll wasn't great when they hired him, and Helton was the best they could find. Aside from Carroll's run, the best USC Coaches were former Ducks, John McKay and John Robinson.
  7. Any highlights video of Sayers is worth watching over and over and over. He and Sandy Koufax, two HOF'ers, whose careers were far too short.
  8. Ed had a lot a love as Interim Coach at USC, but they went with Helton. I don't see Fickell leaving Cincy for Heritage Hall, maybe Ed will end up back at USC?
  9. Ridiculous. The last time Kansas was good? Gale Sayers was on the team.
  10. Let's make sure we keep this to what WSU losing its Coach could mean in games the rest of the season.
  11. I agree, and theoretically, AB is in at QB because he;s a 6 year Senior and he won't make mistakes like that. But this one, on a passing play, and against Stanford he made the wrong read on a running play, keeping it instead of pitching to Verdell who could have walked to the end zone.
  12. That would have the Committee working. Ih tOSU is in, it would be really tough for Oregon to be left out. If Cincy represents Ohio, Oregon has a tougher road.
  13. Every once in a while, you just have to take a minute, look around, and see that as bad as it might seem, it's a LOT worse over there. In this case over there is Washington. The Ducks are 5-1, in the Top 10. Washington is 2-4, maybe in the Bottom 10. Oregon's Coach is on the short list for any opening that comes up, Lake? Chris Petersen knew it was time to go, his Kind Of Guy wasn't getting it done, and it was only going to get worse. The Husky Honks are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their "Championship" (Oregon's Pac-12 title last season has more validity). It's bleak at U Dud, they lost to FCS Montana, the Beavs beat em, Michigan is actually pretty good. But, now their left to saying which loss was the least awful. So, thanks, Washington, it ain't so bad here!
  14. Yes, Bruins 24-17,and it's a mess in the South, Utes, 35 ASU 21.
  15. Yet another reason, it would seem, to get Thompson some real game time this season.
  16. The Chargers are 4-1, 1st Place in the AFC West, the Ravens are 4-1, 1st place in the AFC North. Sunday, 10:00 AM on CBS.
