  1. Another reason why Saturday's game against UC Davis was important, had the chance to get the rust off against a tough opponent, and come out with a gritty win. I'm looking forward to a big game from Paopao, who actually looked a bit like a freshman against the Aggies.
  2. Ah, Mr. Klatt, another member of Wilner and Washington's Whiners about Oregon PLAYING in the championship game, and then actually WINNING. I realize it's a down time, but that call was old as soon as they said it the first time. If any team in the Pac-12 IS RELEVANT, it's Oregon.
  3. Two 5 * quarterbacks for the Ducks and the Huskies, it's shaping up to be a huge element in the fight for control of the North in the Pac-12 Ty Thompson and Sam Huard. From Rivals.com Of course, when it comes to a Husky quarterback named Huard...
  4. That would have been a lot to ask of Payton, as he already has the record for most games played as a Duck.
  5. With all the talent that Mario is recruiting he will literally have to prevent the offense from scoring, not just prefer ball control, David Shaw didn't mind when Stanford got in the 40's. Oregon hasn't had the WR's, and RB's that Alabama, Ohio State and Clemson have, but the Ducks are getting there. It seems like Mario wants to wait until the WR's and RB's are there before he lets the offense GO. Until then the Ducks will go like they have, still leading the conference in scoring, while looking like they don't want to sometimes.
  6. That really isn't how those teams win anymore, and thus the frustration with Cristobal who does seem to want to win that way now.
  7. Amen. That is exactly what is wrong with the Committee, a bunch of "experts" that spend the afternoon watching the games, with all the preconceived notions and biases all fans have, and rather than base their selections on criteria, like winning a division, let alone a conference, use the "EYE Test" to pick teams.
  8. That is very true, and was pointed out in the article. it is also one of the reasons why the Beavers will finish ahead of the Huskies next season.
  9. I thought this was the best commercial.
  10. It isn't good when two of the five teams listed in, "Teams that regressed" in recruiting are in the Pac-12, and Arizona would be the third, but they didn't regress, just stayed awful. From Rivals.com
  11. I remember that former coach, Rex Ryan, spoke very highly of Justin.
  12. It's not so hard to recruit to Oregon when the kid lives next door.
  13. Feely said that the opportunity to stay close to his father was important. From 247sports.com
  14. Is Oregon becoming a football factory, a pipeline to the NFL? A lot of experts didn't think Justin Herbert should be drafted at all; he went 6th and set NFL records. This year, Penei Sewell is projected as a can't miss at OT. From NBC Sports Northwest
  15. Kepnang was great to see, Omoruyi is already the best at the basket player Altman has had at Oregon, and if Kepnang can continue from this performance, even improve, the Ducks offense will have a dimension its never had. Terry was terrific, nothing more fun in basketball than taking a "heat check" with your shot, and making it! It was really neat that after making shot after shot, his expression never changed, he was dialed in, But, during a timeout, Richardson came over and then we saw a big grin on Terry's face. The report on Williams and Duarte sounds very encouraging.
  16. This looks like it could be the best Super Bowl ever! It's got Tom Brady, who's already been to nine with the Patriots, winning six of them, and Patrick Mahomes, trying to lead the Chiefs to a repeat, the first sine Brady and the Partiots won back to back in, 04 and 05. I have it, Chiefs 35 Buccaneers 31
  17. The farther away, the Executive Committee that found Scott stays away from the process this time, the better.
  18. SWEET! ! I've been tempted to get a Twitter account just so I could ask, how after his colossal miss on Herbert, how McShay could still have a job. But, now the Chargers PR Dept. is handling it. McSham will keep his job, such as it is.
  19. Great to see this. Losing coaches can be spun as a positive, but no spin is needed to appreciate continuity, and especially "LB's will thrive at Oregon"
  20. This could be stretching things a bit, but, now that the game is over, and the Ducks won I think it was a very impressive and important performance. The Aggies are good, and they were controlling the game. Rebounding, creating turnovers. In the first half, they were nailing 3's. The Ducks couldn't do anything right. But, in spite of this, the D was still working. it was 25-25 at halftime. The Ducks didn't give up, didn't start pointing fingers. I'm sure that Coach Graves used some forceful words at halftime, and they worked. I think this young team grew up a lot last night.
