  1. Ronnie Lee is my No.1 of course, but my favorite Kamikaze Kid after 30, is Mark Barwig. He wasn't the superstar like Lee or Ballard, but no player personified Harter's style of play more. Opposing coaches game planned to stop Lee & Ballard, but Barwig was the player who made life miserable for the other teams. Before the Kamikaze Kids, west coast basketball was UCLA finesse, Oregon didn't do finesse.
  2. Absolutely agree about GB. He still is the single game scoring leader for the Ducks, 47, in a win over Oral Roberts in the 1974 NIT, and also one of the greatest moments in Oregon history, hitting 2 free throws, with O:00 on the clock to beat UCLA, 62-61 in 1976.
  3. Doug Little. He was a huge part of Harter's teams, being a holdover from Belko's teams, and the captain of Harter's first Oregon team, that went winless in the Pac-8 and 6-20 for the year.
  4. Georgia was No.9 in the country last season in points per game, 38.6. When Saban realized that teams needed an offense to win championships too, Kirby went along. SEC football is not filled with 9-6 games anymore.
  5. The more things change, the more they stay the same
  6. Sabally took over the game, and Scheer had a steal and a huge rebound of a missed free throw.
  7. Oh the good old days. Parrish had the ball on top, Hurst goes to the basket, but no pass. Back in 2019 that was gold.
  8. Going through Sabally is a good idea
  9. Dorsey is another U Legend; played QB 99-02, a 2 time Heisman finalist. He was the quarterback when Miami beat Nebraska.
  10. Beautiful laser pass from Paopao to Pinto at the basket!
  11. I have heard, and read about, deep fried candy bars, has anybody here had one?
  12. Reading this article and just thinking about a dominating defense is making it wonderfully stressful waiting for the Spring Game and the season. Patience is required, Oregon won't be Georgia Defense in 2022. But I remember how fun Gang Green was back in the 90's!
  13. It was a disappointing loss to be sure, right there with the 2 point loss to ASU and the 3 point loss to Stanford. But, the Ducks weren't going to run the table through March Madness. Colorado is good. Last night while the Buffs and Ducks were playing, No.3 Arizona was at Pauley, playing recently humbled No.7 UCLA. UCLA beat Arizona 75-59 That worked out to Oregon's benefit. Now the Ducks have to put the Colorado L behind them and beat the Beavers on Saturday in MKA, and then find a way to get their first win over the Buffs in Boulder, and after that, there's a lot of games left.
  14. I agree with the sentiment of Brad Crawford, without Williams, USC is -- and the Supremes
  15. How it happened: Colorado's second half rally erases Oregon's 6 game winning streak Don Smalley Ducks Wire
