  1. This was written before DeLaura transferred out of WSU, and Dart is probably the starter at USC, but what if Williams follows Riley? A real chunk of UW history crumbles if a Huard gets passed up by a transfer. Oregon? I'll go with it's wide open.
  2. I have really come to appreciate what Saban has done at Alabama. He gets the players, but he's also adjusted his X's and O's, and stayed out of the way, except for a big move like putting Tua in at halftime, of his OC's. But what is most impressive is the complete lack of complacency at Alabama, It's championship or bust every year in Tuscaloosa
  3. You'd think so, and maybe all the Riley noise is just that. But pre-season predictions are the backbone of hype and I expect to see at least a few having USC win the Pac-12 and crash the CFP.
  4. You're right, and so far, the immediate results have been great!
  5. Whatever his motivation, there isn't anybody better to come out with a statement like this.
  6. Every day I'm liking Coach Lanning even more. That he's done all this while also getting Georgia's defense past Michigan and a rematch with Alabama is multi-tasking extraordinare!
  7. It takes a while to get through this list, so I'll save you the time. Oregon is No. 16. Utah is No.10, Miami is No.11? But USC is nowhere to be seen. The Trojans are actually listed in "The Next 25" along with ASU and UCLA at the bottom of the page.
  8. I like this sentiment as we really can't do anything about it. But I also agree with the practical information you brought up. The NIL $$$ is exploding now, but that won't be the norm. Big Ol Texas Booster didn't get rich throwing his money down a dry hole, and I don't see Texas winning it all with their &50,000 OL's .
  9. The Chargers D never fails to make games interesting?
  10. Justin was the ROTY last season, he's a Pro Bowl quarterback, now he has the chance to get the Chargers into the Playoffs for the first time since 2018. Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders: Who Has the Edge? Orange County Register Gilbert Manzano
  11. I feel better about Oregon's chances against Georgia than I did at any time about them beating Ohio State in the 'shoe. There's a bit of magic in the Lanning Georgia-Oregon connection, I know that Lanning will have his Oregon team fired up!
  12. Tyner was amazing. He had, size and speed. But, from what I read, he didn't bleed football. It's hard for us to imagine. But I know we all have family and friends who could not care less about the Ducks, sports in general.
  13. Coach, if expressing doubt as to their NFL's futures is disrespectful, I'm guilty. But it seems to me that Dye in particular this season has been overwhelmingly admired and respected for the way he played.
  14. It would have been great to get him, at least he didn't go to USC.
  15. Yeah, Cyrus is going to, The U.
  16. Yeah, the basketball game should start at right around halftime of the football game, with all the commercials that get added to the Championship Game, it will be interesting to see which ends first.
  17. I feel like this is a great sign. He wants to make it even better, and built his staff with that in mind, and I'm confident that this attitude will carry over to an emphasis on player development and in-game coaching. A while back we discussed momentum; I feel it building at Oregon.
  18. As Brock Huard says about Oregon, it's a more attractive job. Yes, overall, Washington does lead the series, 60-48-5. But since 1971, 50 years, half a century, Oregon is in front, 25-23, no games were played in 2001, or 2020. So, while the Huskies were piling up the wins when results were sent by telegraph, Oregon has been the more attractive job for a long time.
  19. I think I'd take a BengalDawg over a BearCat.
  20. Not as familiar with Bryant's connection, but McKay & Robinson would go on to great success at USC, and coach in the NFL, after playing and coaching at Oregon. Frei was the head coach of the Ducks when I started watching.
  21. As they say, best of luck to him then.
