  1. They are chuckling. It wasn't that long ago that at least we all had the illusion that where the young man chose to play football was a very serious one. But today, Caleb and his family are "Chuckling" about where Caleb will take his talent to.
  2. Dan Lanning is a master multi-tasker. While he's busy getting Georgia's defense ready to beat Alabama and win the championship, he's put together a high charged coaching staff, and made recruiting a priority. One of the big benefits obviously being at Oregon is it's a national brand Dan Lanning On Ducks: We Can Go Anywhere and be able to Sign Players Zachary Neel Ducks Wire
  3. He's from Seattle, so just like JTT, has the Huskies in the mix, but can't believe they're really in play.
  4. Kobe Hudsen, Nix's teammate at Auburn is an intriguing option because of their familiarity. But would that create a tension overriding the benefit?
  5. Nick Saban wins because not only does he have the "Jimmie's and Joe's" he knows the X's and O's better than other coaches. He went from pound it up the middle, to up tempo, from Greg McElvoy to Bryce Young. Mario didn't dp anything to keep the 10 year old's awake past halftime of "Pac-12 After Dark", it was hard enough for most of us. But Riley at USC,and Lanning hopefully will have their teams playing a style of football that not only will keep the audience awake, but keep the players at home.
  6. Saban and Alabama don't want an expanded Playoff, and those with him say it will still be Alabama in the Championship game anyway, so why bother. This myopic look is the problem, even Paul Finebaum can see it. The NFL has 24 out of 32 teams in contention for the Playoffs through the final game, which this season is between the Raiders and the Chargers! As we know, not even 10 of the top 25 college teams have a shot at the CFP by November. Paul Finebaum understands that this is killing interest in the sport. That expanding the playoffs, taking it out of the hands of the Committee would be a good thing. Alabama would still be the favorite.
  7. This is a great sign to me that Lanning isn't star chasing.
  8. Oregon has had great TE's. Back to Russ Francis, Jeff Thomason. Josh Wilcox., Ed Dickson, David Paulson, Colt Lyerla, so much talent, Pharoah Brown, terrible injury. Hope that Coach Mehringer, Lanning & Dillingham can get back to using the TE as more than a check down option.
  9. Let's look at this. Who's going to get a passing grade first, Washington or Oregon State? Washington is in shambles, Oregon State is ecstatic about their future. I have OSU finishing above UW next season. Cal is Cal, Stanford is in the midst of a slump, and WSU can maybe win an Apple Cup once in a while. Are the 2 Oregon schools ready to Own the North?
  10. Very true, a Game Manager isn't going to beat Alabama. But Kirby seems set with Stetson so the D is going to have to keep Alabama to 24 points? It's hard to see how -3 Georgia is happening.
  11. Oklahoma is dropping out for a while, so that leaves a space at the table. Clemson isn't a shoe in next season. Oregon and USC need to be in contention the whole season and if not in the CFP every year, win their NY6 Bowl.
  12. Darren, I agree with your 3 steps, Clemson was it from the ACC, and Oklahoma carried the Big 12. To speed this along for Oregon and USC, GK seems open to interior design renovations such as an 8 game schedule and doing away with divisions.
  13. Offense Defense Scoring Offense-Alabama Scoring Defense-Georgia Quarterback- Alabama Passing Defense-Georgia Receivers-Alabama Rushing Defense-Georgia Running Backs-Georgia Turnovers-Alabama Tackles For Loss- Alabama
  14. And this is where we are. I can see the Ducks landing in the middle of these two prognosication's. For now, with all the changes that Oregon will be dealing with, contending for the CFP next season isn't where I had them. For what it's worth I do have them winning the North, even it comes down to beating the Beavers in Corvallis.
  15. Let's go Bulldogs!! Georgia was No.1 all season until Alabama smacked 'em in the SEC Championship Game. But they took apart a hungry Michigan team while Alabama toyed with Cincy, I think Georgia wanted Alabama, and now they have the chance to get the Natty, and send the new Oregon coach off in style.
  16. That is it of course. For all the good vibes coming out OSU, I don't see how they can sustain a Playoff contending level consistently. They're doing great with the portal, but I don't see them breaking through to a top 25 even recruiting ranking, which would put them on the very edge of what's needed.
  17. It is the best advertising, as Chris and Herby talk about the Georgia defense, ""And you know that DC Lanning is the Coach at Oregon now" "And the first game next season is Oregon and Georgia". Lanning met with Cyrus Moss last week, who will announce his decision at the All American Game this weekend.
