  1. Lanning has lost some big games: In a "Neutral Site" against Georgia, 1 to OSU and 3 to Washington, by 3 points. Let's take a look at how Day & osu2 have done when the pressure is at its highest...well, they did just beat Tennessee.
  2. This team is great, and yet it can still get a lot better! It's not shooting well, or rebounding, but it's been playing great defense, with the exception of allowing offensive rebounds. all season. The shooting will have to improve, a necessity I think, to beat Illinois and Mayland. MacLean had a particularly good observation on Shelstad during the Stanford game. Shelstad had a wide open 3 but took it to the rim instead. Ordinarily, that's fine. But Shelstad can't start passing up 3's. The defense will back off him. MacLean also mentioned earlier that 3's are shot best when the shooter just lets them go, when you hesitate or aim, you'll miss.
  3. His trash talk? It's kinda weak. "The way that last one ended doesn't sit right with me... I'm just thankful for the opportunity that we get another crack at them." Will Howard and the Ohio State Buckeyes are already trash talking the Oregon Ducks AUTZENZOO.COM The Ohio State Buckeyes won in the first round of the College Football Playoffs. They immediately started trash-talking their...
  4. Kiffin and Finebaum are SEC hubris on overload with this, neither Alabama nor Ole Miss deserved to be in the Playoff. Texas's SOS wasn't much better than Indiana's and they didn't win their conference; that was Georgia, who barely escaped Kentucky, lost to Alabama. They did beat Clemson, who just got beat by Texas, and beating Texas twice are Georgia's best wins. So SEC, you might want it more, but you really don't get it this time.
  5. To be fair to the ESPN computer who has never liked Oregon is just saying what we've noted, Oregon has the toughest path to the Natty.
  6. Thanks, Alex. Football 101 says the key to beating osu2 is getting a serious pass rush on Howard. Having Burch this time helps with that immensely. Not only that, I can see Lupoi having some blitz packages ready to go. Containing Smith, by getting to Howard is mandatory. Osu2 can run the ball, but if they don't break a big one, let em get 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Heisman winner Hunter and the Buffs will have played BYU in the Alamo Bowl, by the time the Rose Bowl kicks off, Jeanty and Boise State and Penn State is the game right before, now it will be Gabriel's turn to do what he has all season; lead the Ducks to another win. It doesn't seem to matter how much tape opposing DC's have to look at; Tez will be wide open in the middle of the field and Gabriel will find him, or Ferg, or Stewart, Sadiq, Holden. Gabriel can run it too. But most of the running will come from JJ and Whittington. Oh yeah, go Ducks!!!!
  7. Ohio State couldn't beat Oregon with their 3rd string quarterback this time. Take that osu2!
  8. But the model that would have satisfied the most people was right there. The ridiculous blunder that gave the 6 seed such an easier path to the Championship Game than the 1 seed would have given the 6th grade student an F if it had been presented as a school project. The 1-12 seeding would have delivered much better games in the 1st round & minimized greatly the thought that some of the teams shouldn't have been playing at all.
  9. At 5:00 PST, December 22, 2024, there will be 14, 220 minutes until the Rose Bowl at @ 2:00 PST January 1 2025.
  10. I agree about Smith, so I just had Receivers, including the edge for Oregon's TE's, also agree on the LB's & special teams.
  11. For a long time, Cowherd & Klatt were all Texas vs. Ohio State for the Natty. Lately, they've been saying OBD are the best team. I have no doubt that it's Texas v Osu2 for them, and Fentress, now. This is fine, of course ESPN's computer system hasn't ever been for the Ducks
  12. It won't take 5 years. The discussion here for the last couple of months has been about how little attention, credit, Oregon is getting now for being No.1. Should osu2 beat the Ducks in the Rose Bowl, dismissing the Ducks will flow from the voices that were muted before. 13-0, B1G Champion will be forgotten as quickly as Tez on a wheel route.
  13. I don't believe it's accurate to declare a team didn't belong after the games, and with an expanded bracket and the "deserving" aspect carrying as much weight there will be mismatches. The remaining rounds should be more competitive.
  14. Agreed. LK is #2 in my most irritating coach list!
  15. If I had any $$$, I'd bet on ASU +13.5 ND - Georgia, PSU-BSU look right. Curious what the ceiling will be for osu2-Oregon?
  16. Home field is always an advantage, the only game I feel it had anything to do with the outcome was Clemson @ Texas.
  17. Nervous is good, it shows that you have a grasp on what is coming. After last night osu2 fans aren't nervous at all, "It's a brand new Day!" I don't think osu2 took the Ducks seriously in the game at little ol Autzen, and after last night, full of euphoria after crushing the Vols their concern about the Ducks probably isn't at Level 1. All season long I've seen a confident, not cocky Oregon team go 13-0. I'm confident that they'll be prepared to make it 14-0.
  18. SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Oregon held Stanford close to 30 percent shooting most of the night to win a nonconference matchup Saturday.
  19. Quarterback-Oregon Receivers-Oregon Running Backs-Push OL- Oregon DL-Burch is playing this time-Oregon Secondary-Push Coaching-Oregon That's advantage Oregon in the two most important categories: QB and coaching. I also give Oregon the advantage in explosive plays, osu2 doesn't have a Tez, or a TE that can jump over defenders.
  20. Come on, Tennessee, onside kick!
  21. Not so, "Good Ol' Rocky Top, Rocky Top Tennessee!"
  22. The only team that has played 3 of them.
  23. Herbie trying to keep people watching, "With their offense, Tennessee's never really out of a game."
