Caleb Downs Says Ohio State Buckeyes 'Weren't Well Prepared' to Play Oregon Ducks
Headline on Cowherd's show, "Klatt on later to explain why Ohio State vs. Michigan is a Must-Win for Ryan Day" Ya think? That'll be an in-depth discussion. Would it help Texas if they beat A & M? I hope Klatt will explain that one too.

Ducks Climb to 7-0, Beat San Diego State 78-68
I agree, that Bittle, maybe Angel are NBA prospects. Shelstad is just not big enough. But the team, imagine if they improve incrementally like Altman teams do from where they're at now! Maybe the bench doesn't get shorter as the season goes on. Maybe they stay like a hockey team and rotate ten players. The defense is sharp already, this was a big improvement offensively today.

Oh Beavers....This Just Gets SADDER and SADDER...
Sad is the only word. It's like when I would hear the announcers talking about the refurbishing of the stadium and facilities. It's like the guy getting new seat covers for his VW, going through the car wash and showing everybody pictures. But this, a banner? Over the years there have been OSU teams that deserve a banner for their accomplishments. But this????

Ducks Climb to 7-0, Beat San Diego State 78-68
This was the best game of the season. Couldn't see it, but it sounded like the Ducks weren't just jacking up 3's. They did end up shooting a higher % from downtown, but this time the big advantage was second chance points, via offensive rebounds. Another really balanced box score for OBD, but Bamba gets the Player of the game!

Ducks Climb to 7-0, Beat San Diego State 78-68
Okay, an intense battle so far, Ducks break it open at the end of the half. What will they do with a 10 point lead at halfime?

Best New Rivalries Thanks to Re-Alignment
As if there was any other choice. 1. Oregon-Ohio State Nothing will ever measure up to Ohio State-Michigan. But especially with the Wolverines floundering a bit post-Jim Harbaugh, there's room on the Buckeyes' dance card for another rival, while Oregon seems to have more or less left Oregon State in the dust. These are the two clear best programs in the Big Ten right now, and two of the very best in the country. They compete on the recruiting trail already, and now we get to see them compete on the gridiron — and if the 2024 edition is any indication, we're really in for a treat. In this era of 18-team megaconferences, it remains to be seen just how frequently the Ducks and Buckeyes will actually play each other. But they could meet in Indianapolis on a regular basis, and something about seeing those two helmets on the same field brings a classic Rose Bowl vibe even in the regular season. Oregon is desperate to prove that it runs its new conference, and Ohio State doesn't take kindly to West Coast interlopers. This one is a culture war as much as it's a football game, and it figures to only get saltier with time.

The Heisman Trophy Poseur
I say yes. Celebrating your own success doesn't work for me when your team is winning, let alone when they're losing, and hurting their chances at the Playoffs. As for campaigning? Let your school put up a billboard.

It is Ridiculous that Miami is Above Georgia in the CPF Rankings
The Eye Test that the Committee is using failed big time here! Miami at 6, above Georgia at 7 was decided as simply as Georgia has a 2 in the right column and Miami has 1. But it wasn't that easy. It was worse. They apparently watched the games. They saw Georgia's "Tales of two Halves" vs Alabama, they also saw the, less than convincing win over Kentucky. But Georgia also soundly beat No.3 Texas at Texas! The Committee Chair stressed that the Committee goes beyond the simple W-L, it watches the games, sees how the teams look. Miami would look great if that's what you're using to rank the teams. But did they watch to the end of these games? None of them were against teams the level of Texas, (which is also a bit shaky) and to be as objective as possible, Miami benefited greatly from video review. On the Macro level we've seen that the seeding is problematic, on the micro level, Miami above Georgia is the opposite of Smart!

What Is Your Confidence Level In Our Kickers?
Thanks for bringing this up. Sappington at 86% is very comforting, and if for some reason a +50 yarder is the play, Boyle is ready. But hopefully OBD will be a lot of kickoff's in the coming games and keeping them inbounds can't be overstated.

Ducks Climb to 7-0, Beat San Diego State 78-68
StatMonitr Stat Feed STATS.STATBROADCAST.COM Yesterday's win over No.20 Texas A & M was a great Quad 1 win for the Ducks. Now they face San Diego State, a surprising winner over Altman's former team, Creighton. A few notes, Oregon is averaging 9.3 offensive rebounds a game, SDSU, 7.8. 3 point shooting has SDSU 39%, the Ducks are at 32%. It will be radio for this one unless you have TNT-MAX. Go Ducks!

Playoff Predictions: Nobody Notes B1G Getting Hosed...
Especially when it's a team from your own conference. Alabama v Clemson was a battle between the best 2 teams. But there was definitely fatigue forming from seeing it again and again. We know that Entertainment is a huge part of sports now, sometimes to its detriment. "Godfather lll" is awful, so would be "Duckeye 3"

I Am Thankful For FishDuck: Are YOU?
I'm thankful every day. I look forward to reading every article and post. When I'm not here, I'm thinking about how great it will be to get back and catch up. I know that we've all been at other Forums and know that it's not the same at all. At FishDuck, we are free to post our opinion, and not worry about a rude, sometimes angry or hurtful response. We're all here together, basking in our No.1 Ducks, and the basketball teams are doing great too! QUACK!

Nicole Aurbach Knows What's She's Doing.
Sit down, Cowherd, you too, Klatt. Nicole has the floor. "I'm still projecting Oregon to win the Big Ten"
-
And So The Madness Begins
Ideally, it would be great to have a recruit work his way up and be ready to the best option at quarterback. But you can't argue that it hasn't worked with Nix and now Gabriel. Oregon is at the level now where it's reload, not rebuild. The WR recruits coming in look incredible, an experienced QB would only enhance them.

Dan Lanning's Most Important Recruit
As any Husky fan would tell you, and they do in around 33% of every post in Husky forums, Oregon wouldn't be where it is without Phil. They say it with vehemence and vitriol. Oregon is truly such an influence on them that seeing the Ucks,( Husky creativity} lose brings them as much, or more, satisfaction than a win for the dogs does.

Oregon Mens Basketball 6-0, Beating No. 20 Texas A&M 80-70!
That's just what they did against Portland, Oregon State & A & M today. Undefeated, they're doing it right, but, if they'd play the whole game, like they do the 2nd half, this could definitely be a top Oregon team. Bittle is ready and able to be dominant. Taking quick 3's just isn't smart basketball to me. Work it around, if it's a pass from the paint to the 3, then fine. Giving up offensive rebounds is another problem in the 1st half that isn't as much of one in the 2nd.

Dilly is the Coach of the Year!
I suppose it really is easier to reward a coach like Dillingham this year, with the fantastic turnaround at ASU, to have it be going to a coach with that kind of achievement. My thought is that Lanning couldn't care less about winning the award, if anything he would probably be uncomfortable accepting it.

Oregon Mens Basketball 6-0, Beating No. 20 Texas A&M 80-70!
SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Two 10-point runs lifted the Ducks to victory. Ducks play again Wednesday at `1:00 PM on TNT MAX vs. San Diego State.

The Heisman Trophy Poseur
This is where I have a problem with the Heisman. I think that Gabriel's 4th & 9 pass to Ferguson was a bigger "Heisman Moment" than any moment Jeanty or Sanders have had all season.
-
The Heisman Trophy Poseur
Just a thought, but with his coach at Miami, I'd say that Ward is solely depending on his talent. and a cooperative video review crew.
-
Dilly is the Coach of the Year!
I still think that Lanning deserves it, but that isn't how the COY works. But Dillingham is the obvious choice in my mind. Cignetti and Indiana got everybody's attention, and ran with it, until they tried to, "run through a wall" for their coach at the 'shoe and were as successful as Wiley Coyote. ASU was 3-9 last year. This year they're 9-2, against a much tougher schedule that Indiana's all new team has faced, and is set to play in the Big 12's CCG. Google Dillingham

BIG Ten Ted Raves About the Ducks
Oregon has been the "Coolest" program for a long time now. The move to the B1G, undefeated, unanimous No.1, gives OBD a credibility boost.
