BREAKING:Top247 CB Ify Obidegwu Commits to Oregon
woundedknees replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
If-Y, were the King of the corner... Not prince, not Duke, just KING! If all this talent committing to Oregon's dB corps sticks, and develops to its apparent potential, the Duck No Fly Zone will be quite entertaining, to put it mildly. -

Can Thompson Re-Write His Story This Spring?

Dennis Dixon didn't shine until he returned from his experiment with pro baseball, for his senior season... The big elephant in that room, was we at least saw flashes of potential. -

Oh Brother: New B1G Rumors Stir the Pot

Things to ponder... Do we really believe nothing is in the works, or that Kliavkoff is just lousy at communicating with the PAC members because none of the "important" people ()re: US!) have been slipped any verifiable information by the powers that be? I'm as frustrated as anyone. What I do know is that nobody in a position of authority is going to be dialing my number with "the Scoop". -

A Pretty Incredible Two Days for Our Beloved Ducks...
woundedknees replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Keep in mind these are mostly freshman pitchers... Oregon's veterans haven't gotten up to speed yet after spending the better part of the seaon battling back from injury. Sheesh! -
PAC-10 New Media Deal - Damn the Doubters and Take Heart

Chicken spit is not only real but sorta gross... like Sea gull spit, but less obvious! -
Honestly, the upside appears to be the new blood we already see entering the program. If these guys can mature quickly, and Altman can score a couple quality transfers out of the portal, such as he was known for earlier in his tenure, this could be a truly exciting bunch to watch. Start serving Sure-Gel as soon as they hit the training table!

PAC-10 New Media Deal - Damn the Doubters and Take Heart

Evidently, some fans take umbrage with this line of reasoning... Well said Jon. Impatiens be darned! (Its a flower... Look it up!) -

Sometimes the little tidbits at the bottom of an article prove interesting... "Former Oregon TE Matt Mariota was on the sidelines at Oregon's spring football practice and intends to start working for Oregon's coaching staff. Mariota played for the Ducks from 2014 to 2018 and then headed to England for his Master's Degree at the University of Leeds this past fall. He was eligible to play for Leeds' American Football team this fall and did so. Now back in Eugene, he's working with Oregon's staff to join the program shortly as an intern and get into coaching." Looks like the Ducks will have one Mariota family member joining the staff... Good luck with your career choice, young man! -
Oregon's Sad and Bad Out-of-Conference (OOC) Scheduling
woundedknees replied to Jon Joseph's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I, and I am convinced, many other Duck fans, have long been dismayed by how many opponents have conveniently been able to back out of H&H agreements, especially the reciprocal trips, which have been been cancelled in the past, once Oregon has already traveled for road games. There seem to have been series with teams like TAMU that have been completely dropped. Scrambling to fill such unexpected openings at a later date is a pain in the pa-tookus, to say the least. TBH, one could get the notion a trip to Autzen is excessively intimidating to a lot of quality opponents. -
A Pritchard/Ridnour type guard had always seemed to be critical to the performance of the Ducks in tight situations like last night. Hopefully the Ducks have the incoming floor general gym rat (or at least, a tough nut drill sergeant) riding to the rescue in the new class.

I remember basketball coaches who would insist on members of their teams practice free throws at the beginning and end of every practice... a few of them required 100 shots with a minimum accuracy rate, or you had to start over... Apparently, that level of discipline is not required in today's world.
