  1. Did the refs just miss a facemask call? Gonzo got pulled down from behind by the receiver on that bomb.
  2. After watching his HS tape, I really wondered when, not if, Dilly would try using #1 in the short game. Great call!
  3. SO nice to see the ;stiff arm' developing as the season goes on!
  4. I was hopeful the hiring of Dilly would reap dividends, but honestly had NO idea what was lurking in the depths of his creativeness. Nice catch by BO!
  5. How many cuts on that last first down run? Every Oregon RB needs to develop that quick recognition. And Ii'm in love with the Return of the SNEAK!
  6. I've questioned the need for anything beyond an 8 team playoff since the discussion began. There is no need to go beyond a P5 auto qualifier from each conference, plus 3 at large qualifiers
  7. Well that's crummy way to see Franklin leave the game! Incredible concentration maintaining the ball security in the midst of that painful shock! Too bad, because he may have scored...
  8. Dadgum... Underwhelming 1st quarter, so far. Hope Cota is ok!
  9. I saw this thread after I posted... Good catch, Charles!
  10. Personally, I have thought all along that an 8 team playoff would be more appropriate at the college level. Conference Title Games may need to become a part of history, to streamline the # of games invitees participate during the season. The potential for serious injury as the season wears on becomes considerably more likely, the longer the process take. I have no doubt mine is not a majority position in the debate.
  11. Barring that, when your "competition bolts for more 'lugubrious climes" because it's soooo embarrassing to share a piece of the pie with lowly Oregon...
  12. He was the one responsible, more than anyone else on the field, for perfectly executing the on side kick and recovery that ultimately set the tone for the rest of the game. Well done, indeed!
  13. The heck with it. Have Dilly as associate HC#coach in waiting... Lanning sends his kids off to college, and Dilly can step in when CDL graduates to the next level. Natural progression has it's place.
  14. As Bill Murray once said, " We CAME! We SAW! WE KICKED IT"S #!?$! "
  15. Whittington literally pulled up, and waited for the UCLA D to approach, prior to going into the slide. It actually burned a little bit of extra time with that move.
  16. I'm rooting for the SEC to implode and eat their own young similar to PAC tradition...
  17. It appears that while DTR's grasp of the English language is somewhat superior to that of 'Squints', his grasp of cognitive reality may be equally flawed...
  18. Clock Management, Guts, and sportsmanship... That last pass by Bo was obviously never intended to be completed... It was just a way to finish the game on an emphatic, defiant statement to the rest of the college football world. Most pundits will never understand the reasoning behind it. BTW, when was the last time anyone started methodically kneeling the ball with 2+ minutes to go in a game? I thought it was a sign of class and maturity from OBD!
  19. Guinness Draught, anyone? I once had that at the ESPN ZONE at Downtown Disney in Anaheim (My late son and I used to do that any time we had the Grand-kids at Disneyland during football season.) while watching OBD were playing. pound an opponent into the dust. (It was a limited edition, Honey Gold, or something like that. I'm not a beer lover, but that was good stuff!) Oh, heck! CK was our coach, at the time!
  20. Coach even threw up one of the better "O's" I've seen..
