  1. Funny... I'v e heard fans somewhat closer to home make the same type of comment at times. It is amazeballs how entitled team supporters of certain institutions closer to the eastern seaboard can be. Wonder if tOSu can lure urb outa the booth? Methinks they deserve each other.
  2. Oregon is obviously losing a few decent players to the portal (Cardwell?Thornton), in addition to the departure of the OC. That doesn't denote a, moment. This could be an exciting transition to the next stage of OBD!
  3. Given the lack of readiness shown at the backup QB position, I am indeed disappointed the Ducks failed to step up when Bo went down. I am not remotely close to turning my back on this team. Bo getting injured was devastating in the short term (As well as the short game 🙄). The play calling looked distracted (disconnected?), late in the season... That hurt, especially once Bo went down. I believe DL and associates will take this as a growth/wake up mometn and be better prepared in the future. Yes, the D needs to improve. The offense is a work in progress, pending the arrival of a new OC. I've seen enough potential that I'm ready to get on board for the next run. Are you?
  4. Remember how hard the BCS lobbied to get access to the Rose Bowl? Seems they doth protest too much!
  5. Yost would be an interesting option, assuming Oregon didn't leave a permanent stain on his psyche...
  6. I was once offered one of those "life changing money" opportunities. There were some issues, one of which was that it involved a big increase in physical risk, in an industry known for risk, but... The real deal breaker was LOCATION. I would have needed to move my, at the time, very young family away from everyone and everything they knew and loved, to, er................ OKLAHOMA. Could. Not. Do. It. My grandfather got to Oregon by driving a herd of cattle for Stillwater, to Bozeman, Montana. From Bozeman, he drove a herd of horses to a little town in the Willamette Valley, named Sweethome. He said that after seeing what Oregon offered, he couldn't go back, and he never did. That's my choice. Maybe that is what has Lanning sitting here, today. It's not for everyone, but maybe his hot list has somebody special on it!
  7. I'd suggest you "Do Something" with that idea, but the board rules would likely clip my wings, and I sorta like it here! 🤪
  8. Ever notice how many of the young men ending up at Oregon have seemingly outstanding support from their PARENTS? Let's go, DUCKS!
  9. The Rodney Dangerfield of the PAC...
  10. CDL has commented in the past that he had built a contact list of potential assistants well before being offered the Oregon position. (No, I don't have a link, although some consider me a "Missing Link") Given that, I would suspect that Lanning probably has been in contact with a few possibilities already.
  11. That would depend heavily on what DL thinks of Joey's virtually complete lack of meaningful experience as a coach... No shade. I love Joey, but we need someone who understands how to form and strengthen young players, in cooperation with the rest of the staff.
  12. Why does this seem like a MC coached game at this point?
  13. I used extra spice in the Ham n Bean soup I prepared for game day, but Gilmore was definitely NOT on the guest list!
  14. Nix's limp is becoming more noticeable as the game progresses.
  15. Anyone up for a long Oregon TD drive at this point? Again with the "spicy" stuff. How's that for spicy, Rod?
  16. Rumors of the beavz demise may be a mite previous... But Ducks are not toast by any means.
  17. I'll trump that with my Beavitch ex-son in law, not only as an alum, but he's an accountant for them as well. My grandson refused to go to this un-civil rivalry because he wouldn't get to make noise for his favorite team.
  18. Manning seems to be having some decent moments.
  19. Finish this goal line stand, and I'll breathe easier for now.
  20. What a great way to re-enter the line-up! That may have been the catch of Cota's career!
