  1. Rad is still around, since he works with other teams than football now, correct?
  2. My uncle was swabbing the brig when the Arizona went down... he landed in the harbor with minor bruising, and spent the rest of the day helping pull others out of the water... GO NAVY!
  3. Maybe all other names are a smoke screen...
  4. Even though WT left for his "Dream School", I doubt he would have been any more successful here...
  5. Think in gambling terms: Q) Is Oregon going to bring back Chip Kelly? A) Worst case scenario, It's a PUSH. Media Click Bait, based on said response: OREGON PUSHING TO HIRE CHIP!!! One of the definitions put forth in Webster's Dictionary: 2: a time for action : EMERGENCY Not sure we are there, yet!
  6. Hmmm... Jerry Jones or Duck fans... ?
  7. Blake Shelton... He's obviously a winner! What, you don't watch, "The Voice"???
  8. Since CK was only Oregon's HC for one Utah game, his history is limited... But the Ducks won, 31-24, with Jeremiah Masoli at the helm. Say what you will, but his worst season, in 2009, was a 10-3 (Sound familiar) stinker including the Rose Bowl loss to tOSU. The Ducks finished ranked #16. Two out of three of his ensuing seasons ended with one loss, including the much debated Dyer was down debacle. It's not what I'm hoping for, but if CK is the choice, I'll put on my big boy pants, and cheer on OBD... 'Cause that's what DUCK fans do!
  9. Aranda grew up in LA, so there is a definite connection... How strong remains to be seen, assuming the Ducks choose to pursue him.
  10. Harris would likely 'smoke em all' Not sure about that one. DAT maybe?
  11. NFL "guy", is a relatively transient and fluid term, these days... Sorta like, "I walked in and out of the tunnel at Autzen when I coached there." Yeah it was for the very successful home team... in our youth soccer league.
  12. Is that Ruiz, Mario's shirttail relative who is supposedly trying to steamroll a new stadium into Coral Gables??
  13. That may be the only reason I would welcome Kiffikins.
  14. Hopefully, it's addition by subtraction. Wonder if it has to do with the HC Mullens is looking hard at?
  15. A big part of Rad's program dealt with flexibility... He was also known for his post football conditioning program to help ex athletes get their bodies adjusted for life AFTER sports... Weight loss, conditioning, nutrition management. Several players, especially former linemen, benefitted significantly from Radcliffe's guidance.
  16. So you're saying, "There's a chance?" Ruiz sounds like a prototypical Miami booster...
  17. The depressing thing about Frei's tenure, is who he had as assistant coaches... Frei resigned when the AD insisted he terminate his assistant coaches! Frei's final staff included a few decent names: John Robinson, George Seifert, Gunther Cunningham, John Marshall, and Bruce Snyder, all of whom went on to relatively successful NCAA D-1 and/or NFL careers.
  18. Grammar police alert! Ahhh, never mind! I really think Tedford would be the wrong choice. I agree that Aranda and Campbell , and possibly Kilani Sitake would be better choices. For me, Wilcox is a non-starter.
  19. Funny thing, Hayward... That booster, a $20+ billionaire, happens to be related to Cristobal by marriage...
  20. I'm not surprised that Oregon has a fair number of LDS players. The likelihood of any team with Poly players, especially Pacific Islanders, having an infusion of LDS players, is strong, to say the least. Oregon has embraced that fact and welcomed their skills into the flock for a long time. I don't have a long list of names to go by, but it is no secret that some of Oregon's biggest contributor's have been members. Haloti Ngata and Brandon Bair come to mind. Many on the current roster are also members. Under Mario Cristobal, Logan Sagapolou returned from his mission to become a Duck. Others have chosen to forgo their mission, in pursuit of their football and/or college careers.
