The game was highlighted by “never give up” resilience by the Ducks, and the Buckeyes too. That OBD friends was a remarkable hard fought football game. The skill playmakers on both sides of the ball are uber talented. The men in the trenches are as good or better than any in the country. The players gave their all. Dillon Gabriel earned a game ball not only for his yards passing, TD run and scrambling escapes, but for his athleticism and athletic finesse fielding errant snaps and still making plays. Any of those bad snaps could have ended in disaster and even changed the win into a loss. A bad snap changes the timing of the play. It reverses the advantage a Quarterback has in knowing what comes next and puts him on his heels. It takes his eyes off the defense and downfield and requires him to adjust. Gabriel overcame the bad snaps and remarkably delivered plus yards on most of them. Dillon Gabriel is calm within the storm. His performance against the Buckeyes raised his stature as a Duck.

OMIGOSH! A New "Thinking Duck" Bronze Sculpture?

Ducks cheerleaders without a doubt. Contemplating that he’s only a duck, albeit a fantastic one. -
Oregon Ducks Football: 2024’s Leading Receiver?
Notalot replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Tez if he gets the targets. YAC YAC -
Good writing, Jordan. As for Larry Scott, he worked for the presidents. As much as he bungled his duties, the members of the council of presidents are most to blame for the demise of the Pac12. They held responsibility over Scott for the business of the conference. They failed miserably. That ship has sailed.

Do You Agree? What IS the Upside to This Offense?
Notalot replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
You are right, Charles. Other possible upsides for improvements are: Center play and recognition; More touches for Limar; More pressure from the DL group; Greater consistency from ILB. It looks like an everything is gelling. I am amazed at the balls Gabriel throws and how tight the spiral is and the touch. The ball is very catchable in most cases throw to the receiver’s advantage. Sweet indeed! -
Gabriel Game-Plan: Ignore the Longer Passes?
Notalot replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Good takes, Charles. During the game and in replay I noted the tendencies and plays you highlighted. Sheesh! Additionally, there appeared to be telegraphing by Gabriel. He was locked in early on a receiver or zone, and to his detriment all the while missing breaking open receivers and allowing defenders to close in on the target. I am confident that Gabriel will see the same things and adjust accordingly, but the mentioned plays were hard for me to understand given Gabriel’s experience and track record. Your analysis was spot-on. -
These are FIRE!

Gotta give more love to the great offensive linemen. Everything starts with them. Renfro yes! Consider Tom Graham and Dave Wilcox.

Pencil me into the game fans flock for (2) as we waddle ahead toward game day. BTW, I returned last night, near the end of the Ducks Super Regional Playoff game, to South Carolina following 5 glorious days in the Willamette Valley and up the North Fork of the Siuslaw River and central coast. while there, I attended my great-nephew and great-niece’s (twins) graduations from Siuslaw High in Florence. He will attend Linfield University and play line there. His twin will become a legacy Beaver with a Presidential scholarship. 87 great kids graduated. There is hope! Thanks.

May the Spirit of Bill Walton Reign Over Oregon Basketball
Notalot replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I was blessed to attend several games Bill played in as a Bruin and Blazer including the 1977 run. Being the same age as Bill, and living through the ‘60’s coming of age, I related to his commentary and tales. Bill Walton stands as an athletic pillar and decent human being. He left a legacy in his kids. He was a Kamikaze in his own right. -

SERIOUSLY? Dan Lanning Needs to 'Get Out of Oregon?'
Notalot replied to Jon Joseph's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ha Ha. Ha Ha Ha. This article is comedy at best. The author needs to work on his craft. Let the games begin. Dan Lanning is UI’s football rock. -
While I was listening to the Clemson flagship radio station, WCCP FM 105.5 The Roar morning show The Press Box today, the hosts John Hight and Brad Senkip discussed their opinions about the Gamecock’s Nyck Harbor Paraphrased they said: - Harbor’s winter focus has been Track and the coming Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. - The time spent on Track stunted his development potential in football. - Harbor fell short of hopes and the expectations of many last season and he may not develop to an expected Sophomore jump in production in 2024. - The Summer Olympics begin July 26th. Football camp begins the next week. Harbor could potentially miss practice for the month of August further retarding his football development. - They recalled that Harbor last year at times looked like an awkward high schooler, not a D1 all-star receiver, despite his remarkable physical gifts and talents. - The hosts remarked that that Shane Beamer needs a better winning record this season, and that he might be held accountable if Harbor under performs. Harbor is the highest ranked recruit in Beaner’s reign as the head coach. Will Oregon be an attractive landing zone to Nyck Harbor in the future if the USC Gamecocks stagger? Might he yearn to play on a playoff contending team with greater potential to develop him? Might Harbor become a faster runner with Oregon’s coaches, speed training, and performance and recovery centers?

The name “Shiloh” in Hebrew means “the one to whom it belongs”. Something went wrong in the situation of Shilo Sanders.

Comparing the Ceiling of Our Offense: Bo Nix vs. Dillon Gabriel
Notalot replied to Solar's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It is easier to run the QB when the stable holds two or three more aces. Last year our Ducks lived on the edge with Bo. Speaking of Bo, few of the pundits and analysts recognize Bo’s size, strength, and toughness. Those are the traits that cause me to believe Bo will have some good years in the NFL and put up better numbers than most of those rated. He has a very strong core to pass from. -
I Know it is TOO SOON, But I'm in LOVE Again...
Notalot replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Cheers, Mate! Congratulations for finding your new love. FYI, Tachawn has been in Detroit the past few days working the Draft. I scored 4 tickets for the October 5th game with MSU at Autzen. We now have our flights, hotels, car rental res, and game tickets. Judy and I will be joined in Portland on the 2nd by her MSU alums, brother and sister-in-law from East Lansing (Jackson). I hope to see you at Autzen! Go Ducks!! -

Rob Mullens: Is it Sloth or Apathy?
Notalot replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Either Sloth or Apathy? It is more like Sloth AND Apathy. Rob’s a nice and respectable AD. He’s certainly not a trail blazer or innovator. Oregon deserves better results. Step up Rob, or get off the Ducks bus.
