  1. That's great! And, for the record, I have nothing against hockey, it was just never introduced to me. But, I dig a lot of the highlights on Espn, etc...
  2. 5th grade volleyball, my first year playing. I had a wicked overhand serve that was like a super fast knuckleball. I remember hitting kids in the face and tubby kids in the gut. The sound of the ball hitting the flab "splat" was addicting to me. It was great.... and violent!!!! ; ) In the championship match I served 15 straight points to close it out and take the home the blue ribbon. Ya didn't mess with Darren "Pistol" Perkins on the volleyball court back then. lol Agree, I get the strategy part of it, but I just hope we can turn on the 3rd quarter gas when needed, and will at some point.
  3. Yup, the D is terrific, minus penalties, but we'll take it. I just worry that in games where the Ducks need offense from start to finish if they'll be able to do it. Bad habits can be hard to break.
  4. I hear ya, but that could be risky because the games have not been put away by the third quarter, and the backups could screw things up royally with turnovers, etc... I'm befuddled!
  5. Yes, I understand that point and it makes sense. I'm just worried that they train to play that way all season, will they be able to magically flip the switch when needed? I think it could be a risk.
  6. Ha! Yes, I did. Saw it in the theatre, oh my goodness what a flop. Never watched it since. The scene I liked was the guy who lived by himself in the dark on a little raft inside the "belly" of the oil freighter, and his sole purpose in life was to check the oil level. Oh, and drinking your own pee. I wouldn't be good at any of that. Go figure.
  7. The Cam Ward fumble at the end. As they say, once a Coug always a Coug. HE TOTALLY COUGED-IT!!!
  8. Yeah, SC and PSU were strategically challenged.
  9. Yup, Mario ball, the definition of "coaching down" players.
  10. thanks. For sure, those teams will be back. But, just as a whole I believe the whole "physicality" argument against former Pac-12 teams was always a bit silly and time to be put to bed.
  11. Yeah, that's the irony, MC has finally seen the light. Problem was ASU scored a lot in the 4th quarter with some Jayden Daniels guy at qb. Who knew! Arizona State 31-28 Oregon (Nov 23, 2019) Final Score - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Game summary of the Arizona State Sun Devils vs. Oregon Ducks NCAAF game, final score 31-28, from November 23, 2019 on ESPN.
  12. The whole "physicality" thing is so laughable. Ironically, in 2007, we were a finesse team and we boat-raced them 39-7 at the Big House.
  13. yup, and if they can get past tOSU we will see them in the championship. Of course, against the Buckeyes we'll see if they are contender or pretender.
  14. The cougars up here in eastern washington were a high flying act under Mike Leach, and it get cold as heck up here. Not, sure the cold really hurts passing that much, maybe some, but snow and rain for sure.
  15. Very true. The Ducks will once again influence their peers style of play.
  16. Yes, last year's UM team was a bit of an anomaly in today's football. It was like how the SEC used to win titles with stellar defense and ball control offense.
  17. It's sooooo great they couldn't leave the Ducks behind.
  18. That's pretty telling. And, the 2021 win in shoe was the crown jewel. Pundint: "Oregon will have a hard time against a 'physical' big ten team on the road?" Oh, we sure did. ha!
  19. I hear ya, just be a coordinator, make good money, way less strees, BUT ambition gets a lot of them. Riley is a great offensive mind and has coached Heisman winners (3), so that would be a selling point to a lot of players.
