  1. Yep. My mistake. But Cornelius out of the portal is better!
  2. Amen Duck-Sister, as the difference between the 3-Star and 4-Star is often who is more ready to play now. Hroniss Grasu | DuckSportsAuthority N.RIVALS.COM Hroniss Grasu - 3 Star Offensive center for Oregon on DuckSportsAuthority He was only 260 pounds coming out of high school? And yet the coaches had him up to 285 for the season, and he started as a freshman! For most--we looking patiently at the upside, as so many have developed nicely at Oregon.
  3. OL Demetri Manning announces his commitment to Oregon 247SPORTS.COM Oregon landed a commitment from Bellevue (Wash.) offensive lineman Demetri Manning on Tuesday...
  4. I'm sure the Huskies will survive this just fine...
  5. Whoops! A Washington Whoosh! Everybody loves Dan Lanning, including Demetri Manning who verbaled today.
  6. What Husky fans are writing about their recruiting on a Washington forum....OUCH! " I feel like we aren’t benefiting much from a national title run on the recruiting front. Not trying to be negative but man I want to see some four stars commit." "Probably more nervous now than I was last week. It’s tough coming out of this weekend and seeing recruits we are targeting starting to trend in other directions….. and frick as I type this Dixson committed to PSU. Yeah, I’m starting to worry about how this class will look particularly with the June 21 visitor list becoming very hazy." "I brought this up before, but not seeing any of the 14 uncommitted visitors commit two weeks ago is a red flag. We are already seeing other schools close recruits we are after right after there visit. That’s a major concern." "We have done more then Oregon in the last ten years and i just was hoping for a little buzz that is all." "In 2022 the Quacks, U$C and ND all got new coaches... their 2023 recruiting classes were 8, 9 and 12. In 2023v Auburn got a new coach, their 2024 class was top 10....Great recruiters, recruit great out of the gate..." "I just expected a few four stars by now when all our rivals have some. My point is why isn’t the school the main selling point? Why do kids desire to go to Oregon, SMU and all these other schools that I don’t think measure up to the huskies legacy? I do think the past ten years have warranted better recruiting for the football team especially when the basketball team is absolutely doing great with recruiting and they haven’t been successful in a very long time. Oregon has gone through like three coaching changes in ten years and they keep getting recruits. So I don’t want to hear the coaching change as an excuse we played for a national title and the fact we don’t have a four star committed right now is very very worrisome. In no way should a national title team have the 66th recruiting class i am sorry. Also with DeBoer we had the lowest recruiting class ever for a playoff team. I feel like i have a right to question what is going wrong with recruiting." "UW should aspire to be as good as Oregon when it comes to recruiting. And when Oregon has a coaching change they don't take a dip in recruiting or blame a change in coaching staff, they simply go out and get a top 25 class."
  7. From the Max Torres On3 interview.... “I grew up an Oregon fan, I grew up a Duck fan. I was the only Duck fan in the house. For me, it’s like a dream come true. At Oregon you can be yourself. I love the campus, I love all the support they offer. So that’s the reason why I committed to Oregon." "Everybody tries to say something negative about Oregon because they don’t have what that college has. Dan Lanning throws out facts. I love Dan Lanning, I love Coach (A’lique) Terry, I love Cav (Mike Cavanaugh). That’s what made me want to commit.”
  8. He is a Rivals 3-Star, who was offered by Arkansas, Miami, Florida State and of course....Washington!
  9. We love you Steven A.! "The KING of the One-Liners"
  10. Dan Lanning loves messing with O-Line coach's head with his blitzes. We saw much more of them last year, and he knows that with a high scoring offense--it puts pressure on the opposing offense to score and keep up. Thus he can dial up the blitzes and create turnovers the way Nick Aliotti did when Chip would get a big lead. Thus he sees the need for an explosive offense. My belief is that he wants to match what Georgia does on defense, but have a slightly better offense. I could live with that! Great interview, as Colin does it well, and Dan really makes you comfortable.
  11. Do I agree? NO. I think Terrance Ferguson is a better TE, and Josh Conerly Jr. at offensive tackle. What an offense!
  12. Look, we are not at the top of the rankings yet for 2025 high school signees, but by the end...we will have a blockbuster class because this year is "harvest" time for all the seeds that the Lanning staff has planted over the last two years. The most recent offensive tackle verbal spoke of how Dan Lanning has been recruiting him for a couple of years. Note below that Oregon has eight verbals thus far, and all but one is a Rivals 4-Star? A super high quality class! Omigosh! Washington has five verbals, and NONE are 4-Stars? Good gosh, the class at Oregon State compares closer to the Huskies class than the Oregon class does. Wowsa. It does my heart good to see them both at an equally BAD level! Bow down to the Huskies? Naw, before long they will be Lanning's Lapdogs!
  13. I completely agree with the restrooms, and the WiFi....and the others, but I think those others would cost way too much to fix. My other suggestions: --We need more "yell" traditions, and something unique that sets us apart. "Shout" is wonderful, but we need more of which are shorter and gets us going... --We need to be wearing "Yell-O" much more often. Wearing black to the Ohio State game is stupid-as-hell, as it makes the stadium and crowd look small...and looks ugly on TV.. I have a novel idea....how about wearing the official colors of Oregon, and provide the yellow coats, vests, etc. for sale? Nothing like an a Yell-O stadium....
  14. Orange-headed wacko step-child?
  15. A good thought...perhaps make it bit more distant, like... Second Cousin?
  16. The Pig-2 want to pull the ultimate rip-off. They want to steal the money, AND join a Power-4 conference after everything shakes out over the next two years. If they worked as hard to build their brand and audience, as they are at stealing millions from others--they would not be in this fix.
  17. It is hard to believe the amount of writing he does pretending that reality does not exist. Below are his comment, and some Mr. FishDuck thoughts about them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Suppose Oregon State and WSU were going to add eight G5 teams to their conference. Who would be the top choices? For me: SDSU, Boise State, Memphis, Tulane, USF, UConn, Colorado State, and UNLV. — @IceDevilCA A: I’m only adding six unless you put a gun to my head. I prefer to wait and see what happens in the ACC and the rest of the landscape. But San Diego State would be at the top of my “want” list. The geography works and you’ve got a toe back in Southern California. After that, I’ll take Boise State, Colorado State, UNLV, Fresno State, and Air Force. FD: The free-market has shown that the Pig-2 are not Power-4 quality, and what is listed above is simply shifting Mountain West teams into a another conference. The Pac-whatever would still be just another Group-of-Five conference, and no amount of Pig-2 lipstick can change that. That maintains geographical integrity and gets the Pac-12 to the NCAA’s minimum of eight conference members. If Stanford and Cal are eventually available and interested, I’d want some room to add them, but I wonder if the Bay Area schools would be caught dead alongside the members I’ve noted. For those who think that OSU and WSU should just accept relegation and join the MWC, I’d offer that they’d be surrendering more than $200 million in assets by doing so. That would be dumb. Under the circumstances, you’re either rebuilding or accepting a no-brainer invitation to a P4 conference. FD: Of course! If you have been overpaid for decades by the Pac, and you can steal 200 million you did not earn...why shouldn't you steal from other former conference members? Canzano is SUCH a good guy, such a moral man!
  18. No doubt Oregon will have to work hard to retain this verbal, as Florida is a long ways away... I LIKEY....
  19. BTW....that makes seven of eight commits are Rivals 4-5 Stars, and that will help our Blue-Chip rating in the future! 2025 Oregon Ducks Football Commitment List OREGON.RIVALS.COM The definitive source for all Oregon news.
  20. This makes overt sense, yet my gut feeling is that with Stewart going deep, Tez on drag patterns across the middle, and Ferguson on seam routes...Gabriel is going to go bonkers with our passing attack, IMHO. Passing or running? It is good-or-good! Traeshon Holden
  21. Ha! I forgot about that, and thank goodness for the coach to point that out. Yep, the Counter is a constraint to the Inside Zone going one direction, and the running back begins that direction, and the pivots and goes the other direction following the pulling linemen. For linebackers following their keys of the RB direction--his steps get them going to one side of the LOS, but with pulling the linemen--the other side of the LOS has a nasty overload of blockers over there. So the Counter is a constraint of sequential play, and this play in the analysis is a constraint off that! Love it.
  22. The time of the year when the topics to write about are scarce, thus a click-bait type of article. Stein will have Gabriel doing just fine with the best receiving room in America, one of the best TEs in the nation, with one of the best offensive lines in college football. And a Will Stein offense? I predict....
  23. Probably one of the other Pac-12 teams joining, as USC is coming back strong. They should have been in the playoffs this year, IMHO.
