  1. Now that range of the polls was from No. 12 to No. 19, but D1 Baseball had us at No. 12, and that is who I follow. The highest finish in over a decade? And we are just getting started my feathered friends... Our Beloved Ducks have SIX Pitchers in MLB!
  2. Boy, I don't know about that. I love the energy, but he says we have the next Adrian Peterson? I see Cole Martin and A'mauri Washington getting some good playing time...
  3. A lot of information is in this browser search, as it has been a popular place where Oregon sports groups have met. I gave a presentation there many years ago about the Oregon Offense, and the food was fine, and the beer was great.
  4. What is the ultimate objective? To achieve what has never been done at Oregon before…win a ‘Natty! Forget the finances-focus on the next five years; which league gives Dan Lanning the best chance to win it all? To win a ‘Natty, we will face the best of the SEC and B1G in the Playoffs. If we beat them…will we care what league we were in? All that matters is winning it.
  5. China has the "Great Wall" and perhaps Oregon can build the "Green Wall?"
  6. But, I have to give the Huskies credit....they do have seven verbals now, and three of them are 4-Star at Rivals, so that was a good weekend for them. (Oregon only offered three of the seven)
  7. To me, that is precisely right. When you are blitzing six against Eastern Washington with no results--yikes. It is then the coaches went to a safer defensive philosophy that matched up with what we were doing with burning clock on offense. I suspect we also did not have the pieces in place in the secondary as I believe we will this year, (in particular at the STAR spot) and we did not have any star edge rushers. I believe Jordan Burch and Matayo Uiagalelei fit that bill, and the attention given to them will free-up Brandon Dorlus and Casey Rogers, I believe. I also think there will be another new edge rusher or two who will emerge over the season....Blake Purchase? Johnny Bowen?
  8. That is inaccurate. Most see how it is inevitable, but wonder why so many are insisting it must happen now? The B1G has big problems right now, and they are not inviting anyone; this whole discussion is moot for five years.
  9. Nope. It will be on-going for five or six years, a subject of debate on a regular basis--even when we get a media contract. But in the end for Oregon....
  10. Lanning is recruiting WAY MORE Edge rushers than needed--by design; he is finding out who is best and the others can move on.... He knows that if he has a number of elite rushers, than he blitz at times, but also only rush four other times and create havoc with the various "simulated pressures" where the offensive line does not know where the pressure is going to come from. Overload a side with a couple of skilled pass-rushers, and someone can get through. Meanwhile, you have seven in the secondary--which makes it harder for the QB to squeeze passes into tight windows....especially if he is running for his life! Amen Duck-Brother!
  11. National writer for On3, Josh Newman gave his prediction, as did a Georgia On3 mod after Baker's visit recently to Athens. A big 5-Star that could boost the class!
  12. Is Oregon OC Will Stein telling us we will get verbals from four of the visitors this last weekend? Guesses are Frazier, Tauma, Mothudi, and McRoy? Can you break the code?
  13. Thank you for posting that David, as I was going to. In my article, is a screenshot of the worried expression on Chip Kelly’s face, as he knew he was screwed. There was not enough time for him to score enough to win…
  14. With Burch on one side, Matayo on the other and Dorlus rushing from the middle…we have weapons on defense unavailable last year! Throw in tighter coverage from the secondary, and the result will be a pass defense that is much, much better than 2022.
  15. Unfortunately it is the brains behind the SEC that have the most wisdom on this. The reasoning in the article above illustrates the value of the Oregon Brand beyond the location.
  16. No sweat. We can say anything about any writer, unless it is a FishDuck writer, of course. Thanks for the concern for our conference and this site.
  17. I think Kirk was trying to stir-the-pot by referring to opposing coaches as being "anxious," to play Colorado in 2023, when a better description would be curious or interesting. Everybody will keep their eye on the 'Buffs until they get their butt-kicked the first time, and I'm hoping it will come from Our Beloved Ducks.
  18. Right. You're a little late to the party, Vern, as we have been discussing this for a long time. Funny how we've been attracting some trolls lately...
  19. So that is the criteria they use when making media deals...which determines the invites?
  20. I love you Jon, but this is one time I disagree. I want Oregon to be the top PAC-12 team by a MILE. I want our passion, our focus on the top teams in the US, and how we are going to recruit and strategize to beat THEM. I want to leave the Huskies in our dust, whimpering about “Evil Oregon” (their oft-used reference to us) and how they cannot catch us. That is my fantasy, and I’m sticking to it!
  21. Wait a minute…the Huskies could not recruit well due to their higher academic “standards,” their “prowess,” yet Stanford’s new coach is killing it in recruiting? Running out of excuses!
