  1. I have my doubts about the 'Lion offensive line being as effective as last year. I would expect us to move our free safety up closer to the Linebacker zones to stop the big running plays. Do it until they outscore us with Allar's passing! Good topic.
  2. Very informative and entertaining article Jordan! Your stats on the QBs further supports my notion that even without big-game experience....Dante Moore will be the difference. Well, that and I have my doubts about the Penn State trenches being as good as last year.
  3. 30Duck has provided his prediction of... 34-27 Ducks 1 Turnover 1 Sack 246 Passing Yards MUCH more reasonable than mine, but my emotions got the best of me...
  4. Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction of Oregon versus Penn State? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Let's get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without ALL the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count. We Have Two New Rules: If two winning scores are the same? The first one who posted wins, automatically. TerryM9 gets 42-6 locked in every time as his. (I love this guy!) Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. My prediction is: Oregon 38-20 2 2 279 Does My Score Look Familiar? This is the uniform we should be wearing...
  5. BTW...everybody is welcome to start pondering threads. Help us out and get the discussion going!
  6. I am not sure to reject all the praise, (Former OL Coach Neil Zombokos never liked, "any sugar for our offense") or to love it, as I am seeing some superb analysis out there praising our defensive "matchup-zone," or the rushing skills of Matayo U. that is under-appreciated, or how good our offensive line is, or the uber throwing skills of Dante Moore. They have a ton of proof for their assertions, as they show video and break it down. I see it, and agree, but again....it is only four games against weak opponents. I am beginning to feel a lot better about Our Beloved Ducks...how about YOU?
  7. This is very similar to what I am dealing with. I hope your recovery comes about, as I hope mine will.
  8. I have many months of healing work to do, and I will not be able to walk well enough by then. But I know that NJDuck is going....perhaps something can be arranged?
  9. On the play you are referring to...it was not a drop-back pass, but a rollout, IMHO. The Beavis DE read it perfectly and followed the pulling tackle to Dante as he was trying to roll left.
  10. I like to have new helmets of each year for the avatars we all have when we post. As I was doing the photo-editing....I noticed for the first time that the wings on both sides of the helmets were different! How cool! Did any of you notice?
  11. I would love to do a bucket-list of Big-10 Baseball parks, as I understand that Penn State has HUGE crowds for their baseball, and is also quite the home-field advantage. But I have no idea if they have "Baseball-Whiteouts" as they do in football!
  12. And all the Big-10 teams that made the top 15? Oregon No. 1 Ohio State No. 2 Indiana No. 3 USC No. 5 Penn State No. 8 Michigan No. 14 Damn....this doesn't get any easier for us! (and THAT is why you have to build the trenches in the B1G!)
  13. I cannot copy the whole article, but below is what they wrote about the Ducks... (Wasn't there some doubt written this week about our O-Line?) The Athletic's Top 15 CFB Offensive Lines Through Week Four The plan is to check back in on these rankings in another month, then again at the end of the regular season. These rankings consider not only weekly game tape, but also the following metrics: sack rate, pressures allowed per dropback, percent of plays resulting in negative yards, percent of possible yards, EPA/rush attempt, yards before contact per rush, rush success rate, yards per designed run and strength of schedule. If there is a metric you feel should be added to our project, hit me up in the comments. (Note: EPA stands for “expected points added”) 1. Oregon Record: 4-0 (1-0) | AP rank: No. 6 | Stats: 523.8 yards per game (8.09 yards per play), .38 EPA/play (2.3 EPA/drive) The Ducks haven’t played the most difficult schedule, but they’ve been truly dominant in three of four wins (and pretty overwhelming in the fourth, a lopsided road win at Northwestern). Oregon’s O-line has not allowed a sack in 118 dropbacks, and the offense has gained 75 percent of all possible yards with an EPA/rush attempt number of .31. Oregon is ranked inside the top four nationally in all three of those metrics and inside the top 10 in seven of the categories covered here (sack and pressure rates, percent of negative plays, possible yards, rush EPA, rush success and yards per designed run). Junior center Iapani Laloulu, fifth-year tackle Isaiah World and fifth-year guard Emmanuel Pregnon all are legit 2026 NFL Draft prospects. I had a first-second round grade on World (6 feet 8, 309 pounds) before the season, and Laloulu is one of the best young interior linemen in the class. Let’s also give kudos to O-line coach A’lique Terry for also getting first-year starting guard Dave Iuli and talented Texas State tackle transfer Alex Harkey up to speed. Oregon also boasts Kenyon Sadiq, probably college football’s freakiest tight end.
  14. Well, bad news and good news. After putting a ton of work into our great get-together at Penn State, (Although NJDuck did so much more!) it turns out that I had to cancel my trip. I have had a ton of trouble with my lower back over the years, and I made progress, then it got worse. Bottom line...this morning I could only walk half a block before my back is killing me, thus I could not handle the trip yet. I have recently begun a massive new regimen between diet, exercises to strengthen, stretching, Chiropractic work, deep tissue massage, updated orthotics, and physical therapy. I cannot start up my Charitable Giving Workshops again until I get this improved, so while I've made recent progress...I have a long ways to go, especially with pain management. For Those at the Tailgate? Please pull your phones out and take pictures! And know that I am thinking of you, and hope to be there in 2028 when Oregon returns to Beaver Stadium. Those of you who are there are such good people that I wish I could give a hug to, and many of you go a long ways back with me. Good News... For the first time in 14 years and hundreds of games....I was denied a photo credential at Penn State. (Bastards) So when we win...I was in a world of hurt with our wonderful FishDuck writers...and no pictures. But this morning I was notified that the student photographer (Max) who shoots for ScoopDuck, was just granted a photo pass for the game on Saturday, and he will be sharing pictures with me as he does at Autzen. I admit...we are a smaller independent site, and ScoopDuck is part of On3 and their massive network, hence higher preference. And the fact that every media outlet for many states wants to be there on the sideline as well. What a great weekend...I send my Duck-Love to the tailgate group!
  15. Our freshman, and RS freshman corners come from Maryland, and thus a benefit of being in the Big-10 and being able to tell their parents about the games at Penn State, Rutgers, Northwestern, etc. that they can easily travel to instead of coming to Eugene. And now...this game is a step up for these newbie corners, and I believe they will acquit themselves well. (Penn State wanted Finney bad) Brandon Finney Jr.
  16. Good gosh Darren....what a great title! The more I watch analysis videos of this game...the less I am sold on Allar, the 'Lion QB. Pack the box and make him perform, and while they will get some explosion pass plays--it will not be enough to outscore Our Beloved Ducks, IMHO. The tactic would not work against Ohio State, or Indiana...but it could against Penn State. Our offense has to be sharp!
  17. I used to follow all the twists and turns in the recruiting process, but now I like to see who has verballed to us, who offered them, etc. Then the occasional news from there, and when it looks exceptional solid, (such as not taking trips) then I might look at film on a few. While I have not cut it down to the level you have--my attention to recruiting is probably down 70% from years ago. When they verbal...I will report and read up on them. While players do flip, the vast majority....don't. And for those we lose, Lanning and staff flip others our way.
  18. What about all-Yellow? Or… A GREEN dominant uniform to make us stand out, while being true to our colors? (Green Helmet, green pants and shoes, with white jersey and green accents?) It is quite possible…
  19. Isn't this the same as at Wisconsin last year? Won't this kind of blend in with the 'Lions navy blue jersey?
  20. Oh now...she explained that she was, "just a housekeeper." "I marry them, divorce them, and keep the house!"
  21. Wowsa. That points-per-possession is an important number...and Oregon looks incredibly efficient in 2025!
