  2. Whew! I get to watch this DVR recording tonight!
  3. Wowsa. Great stats Ken, and thanks 30Duck for sharing it.
  4. Again....another example of why I love this community. I did not even think of these points, and they are big ones!
  5. Any exceptions made for holding scholarships is room for Connelly in March or an attractive transfer.
  6. No sweat, as you are a good sport. Actually....I was cheering for the Beavers in their 'Natty runs as a Pac-12 representative. BTW...I grew up in Corvallis and my father was a professor at Oregon State...and I am the "GREEN SHEEP" of the family.
  7. A great contributing member AND has a sense of humor? Love it, as that was FUNNY.
  8. The other sites have made it clear in recent days that Arlis Boardingham will be announcing for Florida later today. It comes down to so few scholarships left and the needs being greater elsewhere for any remaining signees or portal transfers. I was going to provide a link to his announcement, but it is a forgone conclusion since the Oregon coaches have been slow-playing Boardingham, and while he wanted to commit to the Ducks...time has run out.
  9. Gotta love how it is the recruits visiting that give their opinion--which is what matters. (Much of it is a bit ostentatious for me) Oregon Ducks Ranked as Having the Best Football Facilities in the Nation, per 247Sports by Zachary Neel of Ducks Wire Below is the actual article at national 247 sports with an interesting top-25... College Football's 25 Best Facilities in 2022, Ranked by Brad Crawford of 247 Sports
  10. NOW we got the right day figured out. THANKS to 30Duck for posting it...
  11. Now THAT is a very, very good point. And I would add..."taking the offense away from Oregon that it was known for."
  12. I recall Grinch as the DC at WSU that beat us so many years in a row... (Before he went to Ohio State and then to Oklahoma) I would have thought he would do better than the stats you quote at a place that is easier to recruit to.
  13. Riley has Alex Grinch as DC, and that is all he needs on the defensive side. Grinch is GOOD, and add that to a high scoring offense?
  14. For those who cannot get into the OregonLive article... NCPA Takes Next Step Toward College Athletes Being Classified As Employees by Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff disagreed that college athletes should be employees. “They are students first and athletes second. That is non-negotiable for me,” he said. “We get to a place where we talk about professional athletes and it blows up the whole model. Let’s take it to the natural conclusion. Talking about professional athletes, then we have a draft. You’re telling a kid where to go to college. If they are an employee, do I get the right to fire them?"
  15. We had better enjoy Softball, Baseball, Track and Womens Basketball while we can. If this goes through...Oregon will not be able to afford 19 sports any longer.
  16. It is fun, and it is great to have you on-board as a new member. Do post your thoughts often, as this is the only safe forum where you can and WELCOME!
  17. I look forward the season, the new players and reading your articles Blackwater. WELCOME! When I look at the Softball Schedule, I am dismayed at all the games that have no television or even live-streaming. Listening to the game? What is this...1965? Anyway, good intro article by Blackwater about the Women, and if you get ESPN+ you have more options for viewing.
  18. I am trying to get a bead on how many updates and articles to provide, as they can be fun and interesting when there is not much football to discuss. I enjoy both, so do let me know which sport you follow (or both) and how passionate are you? Do you just keep an eye on the scores? Do you go to games? Do you seek out articles about these sports? How much would you want to see? I've operated an article site (FishDuck) for a decade, but I am new at this forum business and am always interested in feedback. Tell me! Tell me! We have a killer-closer in Kolby Somers, a senior out of Hillsboro!
  19. Now THAT is a big jump! Let's hope they win a ton and jump even more....
  20. Me too. None of us here wear halos, as I've made mistakes in posting like everyone else. Since it was read by too many others--I apologized in public and in private to the affected party. That is why with regulars--I do understand when we make a mistake--we acknowledge it and then move on and forget about it. I have to use significant impulse control like everyone else, and I am grateful that everyone has the strength and patience to do it. Seeing posts on other sites where they are "impolite" to each other makes me appreciate everyone here that much more. And thanks PittDuck. With what will be happening with Coach Lanning--I think this is going to be a very lively place to discuss OBD this fall!
  21. Detroit has the absolutely WORST management. I wanted Sewell to drop in the Draft...to the Chargers instead of being saddled with a perennial loser.
  22. Yep....just as "I Love my Ducks!" Naw. I really do hate the Huskies.
