What's Up With Softball Program Transfers?
Charles Fischer replied to ICamel's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Well, I think it is an interesting discussion. Mike White peaked out IMHO at Oregon. He was the No. 1 seed going into the College Womens World Series twice and didn't get higher than 5th place? I do not think he could win the big one at Oregon--my view. I think someone else said it best; Mike White was paid the most at Oregon of any softball coach in the US who had not won a 'Natty. And he hasn't set the world on fire yet at Texas, although he has a chance to get into the WCWS today. -
What's Up With Softball Program Transfers?
Charles Fischer replied to ICamel's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
You never know what goes on inside the program between chemistry, and perceived opportunity (or not) by a player for next year. What do you want to bet that Coach Lombardi does well attracting new players in the portal? She has thus far... -
Guerrier Coming Back to Oregon
Charles Fischer replied to EastBayDuckDad's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
What a player to average 101 points per game! Somebody needs an editor at another site, as I suspect the actual number is 10.1 points per game. Nonetheless, I am happy for Dana and Oregon fans! -
While that was a barely an article, and a stretch for a topic...I have to admit that I agree with it. That triplet is going to be fun to watch!

I will admit that I never thought Graham was NFL material. Not enough speed or size… -
NOT Green and Yellow, but COOL to You?
Charles Fischer replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This one is in the running for the worst as well... Although the Beavers with the "Bra" look was pretty bad.... -
Well, I would like to think that most people understand the enormity of the task for a first game, and knowing Lanning is new--will cut him some slack. The remaining games will give us a better indication, IMHO, because we will see if there are in-game adjustments or not, does the team play "down" to the opponent, etc. In other words,...did we flush the time with "Mari" out of our system? That takes longer to see.

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head coach Dana Altman announced today the signing of transfer Jermaine Couisnard, a 6-4 guard from the University of South Carolina. In three seasons at South Carolina, Couisnard averaged 11.6 points, 3.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. Couisnard led the Gamecocks in scoring last year with 12.0 points per game, tallying 14 double-digit outings and three 20-plus point games. He closed out conference play with five-straight 10-point games, including a career-high 33 points (12-18 FG) versus LSU. “Jermaine continues to grow as a player and is a tough guard with experience against high-level competition,” said Altman. “He is the type of player that will fit in well here at Oregon and we’re excited to have him.” Couisnard was named to the SEC All-Freshman team in 2020 and was twice named SEC Freshman of the week. The East Chicago, Indiana native attended East Chicago Central High School, averaging 29.2 points, and was named an Indiana All-Star as a senior. Couisnard also played one season at Montverde Academy in Florida.

It is great enough that you make me laugh at all the other opponents of the conference, but to make me LOL over this....epic. Agreed. Axel is the man! -

Quote From Our New Commit--Exciting

You have no disagreement from me about him being a good OC, but terrible HC. How Brady Hoke Got Mark Helfrich FIRED FISHDUCK.COM Charles Fischer of FishDuck.com provides another set of examples showing how Oregon's defense is poorly coached, and will result in the firing of Mark Helfrich. -
The Pac-12 was the first conference to win over 500 National Championships, the conference to have the first school win 100 National Championships (UCLA and now Stanford) and now the first to have 200 Womens National Championships among all sports. So there is more than football... And thus why the, "Conference of Champions."

Quote From Our New Commit--Exciting
Charles Fischer replied to FamilyofDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
No, I will politely disagree as that is not what I remember. Tua was not making grades his sophomore year in high school, and Helfrich could not take a chance on someone who may end up in JC. Helf stated he would offer when the grades got better; when the grades were better in six months...Tua gave us the finger. Helfrich made a ton of mistakes, but not this one. Considering all the Oregon QBs who were highly rated and bombed...he could not have another.
