Jon Wilner, Mercury News: Washington will win the Pac-12 North
And when did they get busted by the conference and NCAA for widespread cheating? 1992...which means they achieved their "half" illegally. But that does not matter to them!

Jon Wilner, Mercury News: Washington will win the Pac-12 North
Amen Duck-Brother, because given a choice? Both Huskies and Ducks would take the conference championship over the division any day!

Jon Wilner, Mercury News: Washington will win the Pac-12 North
There is an article in that topic David....because I regard the Gregory hire at Washington the same as if Oregon hired Heyward for the DC job here. Nope....MC was able to upgrade!

Whoa! Rivals Predicting TWO HUGE RECRUITS will Commit to the Ducks!
Agreed, as Oregon is now on the recruiting map of respect, but if we pull in JTT...it will raise eyebrows. It will signal that the Ducks are now a major contender for ALL the great players.

Jon Wilner, Mercury News: Washington will win the Pac-12 North
My apologies as I cannot link the article, because it requires a subscription. But I wanted you to know what others are discussing from the article, and this was the big news. I would love someone to have subscription there and give us a summary when he writes, as some of his stuff is pretty good, but you have to put up with the "click-bait" like this article. There is a pattern as I think he is trying to tweak Oregon fans and USC fans by predicting the Huskies to take the North Division, and the Sun Devils to take the South Division.

Whoa! Rivals Predicting TWO HUGE RECRUITS will Commit to the Ducks!
These two could change our ranking, or least defend it...but the other implications of the one prediction would be so massive--wow. I am very surprised Rivals is making this predictions and we hope it comes out true! NSD 2021: Predictions for Uncommitted Rivals250 Prospects by Rivals.com

Canzano: A Prime Candidate for Pac-12 Commissioner is...
John brings up some really good points about this candidate, but also the timing needed for the job and what awaits the new commissioner. It seems in his writing that John is not just trying to stir the nest, but he really wants a good hire to happen for the sake of the conference. Canzano: It’s what Ohio State’s Gene Smith isn’t saying the Pac-12 Conference needs to hear by OregonLive Gene Smith

Signed Up for this Forum, but Nothing Happened?
Some of you have signed up to post, but you have to confirm with an email that comes to you. The forum software has a glitch where some people were not getting the email, thus how could you confirm? I sent you an email for confirmation. If you responded to the email I sent--then I manually approved you in the system. Some of you did not respond to my email! Thus after waiting for a day and a half....I then delete the account because I have to assume it is not a legit email. I must have a working email, and an email account that is checked, as I have had a number of spammers and 'bots who try to sign up. If you want to try again--email me charles@fishduck.com and we'll figure it out. Bottom line is--I must have a working email or I assume the worst and will not approve you.

Tim DeRuyter Question.
I am guessing that Oregon will have better talent than Cal had, and as for Texas A&M....I would think so also at the time he was there. This is what makes it so intriguing, as now he can Zone-Blitz with some darn good talent. Good question...just my gut feel is all.

UW Has Hired A New DC
Actually, Gregory is pretty knowledgeable, but your observation about the lack of sparkling alternatives out there interested in the position is telling. We had similar options internally to have done the same thing at Oregon, but got a better result. Perhaps Lake might hover over the defense the way you-know-who does on offense at Oregon? Who knows? It will be fun to watch...
