  1. Who is worse? USC fans who cannot get Oregon off their mind, or a wacko like yours-truly who enjoys it way too much! (Below is from a USC Forum) ------------------------------------------------------------- "Lanning’s had one good win (against Ohio State) in his entire 2.5 year tenure, and even there you could say that Ohio State pulled an SC and beat themselves with the OPI and clock mismanagement stuff at the end. I’m still not convinced that Lanning will win an NC, as I don’t think he’s a good enough coach to beat 3-4 equal or better roster opponents in a row in the expanded CFP." "Lemming will never win a NC. It doesn't change the fact, he's a better HC than Riley at this point." (Lemming is the new slur for Lanning in SoCal) "All things held equal, the kids are still choosing Oregon over playing for the fraud we have as HC. Luckily, that doesn't have to be exposed because Oregon is backing up the truck. We are an embarrassment, dysfunctional program lead by the biggest fraud of them all." "Oregon getting its talent for more than just the bag." "If Lanning doesn’t get it done this year or in the next two or three, Oregon can just add another disappointment to their zero championship building. Dude walked into a nice loaded team Cristobal left and has Phil knight and the administration 100% in on football. What more can you ask for? Lol" "Lanning is a hell of a recruiter. They will basically throw the kitchen sink at a recruit and make you to say no. Plus they are rank No.1, have AMAZING facilities and probably have the best NIL program IMHO. You know it is legitimate when ex-Nike executives are running the show. Y'all know who we have running ours. The person running our collective is basically learning on the job and might be great one day. As of now, Oregon is by far a better program than USC. If USC can finally get out of its own way they can be right up there." "The state of both programs are going in opposite directions and you'd figure being 3-4 would help clear the glaze but apparently, here we are still arguing the amnesty." "The way Mario built that program was not the same way this guy wanted Oregon to look. That’s why they (Lanning staff) pushed out so many dudes out of Oregon. Was it a bigger rebuild than what Riley had to inherit? No. But did they still rebuild that roster? Yeah. They went all in on the trenches and defense as soon as they got there." Oregon is running away from USC...and they know it.
  2. True. Even some great Duck fans are just....not very noble.
  3. Is Oregon making a splash in our conference or what? It began with the giant Duck at the summer B1G meetings, and how has surprised everyone on the football field. The newest surprise to our conference is our home field advantage, and of course--every week we are No. 1 we bring glory to not only Oregon but to our new conference. Gotta soak it up while we can!
  4. No. It was announced that he will play vs. Illinois. Oregon WR Traeshon Holden will be available to play against Illinois, per Dan Lanning 247SPORTS.COM Oregon wide receiver Traeshon Holden will be available to play this weekend, head coach Dan Lanning said on Wednesday.
  5. In just a couple of carries--Harris showed more "wiggle" than either Whittington or Limar, IMHO.
  6. If I actually bet...that would be hard. Do I use the one in the UK, India or Australia?
  7. Some interesting quotes from a pundit in The Athletic with my comments in bold... ------------------------------------------------- "Illinois is to play No. 1 Oregon as massive underdogs in one of the rowdiest stadiums in the nation this season. Eugene isn’t typically listed among the wildest venues in the sport, but the big games Oregon has hosted in 2024 have been a scene. Illinois will be walking into a high-energy thresher to face an Oregon team without many, if any, weak spots." Opposing teams don't get it until they experience it, and every team in the B1G will not be sold until they come to Autzen. Expect an Illini offense a little in shock... "The junior Illini QB is pressured on 40 percent of his dropbacks, and Illinois is ranked 124th in tackles for a loss allowed. Oregon’s daunting pass rush should make a meal out of Altmyer’s protection detail." Oh baby, that is NOT a good matchup against Oregon. Sack-Attack coming! "The Illini have a highly credible defense of their own, coming in at 22nd in points allowed per game (18.6). However, they’ve been wide open to rushing attacks lately, which means Oregon’s Jordan James could be in line for some resume-boosting stats." Right. They have 270 pound defensive tackles of which are 40-50 pounds undersized to what our offensive line is used to. This is one time that the most boring play in the playbook, the most basic play, the Inside Zone, might just be the primary play of the Oregon offense in this game. Thus I do not think we will see anything new from the playbook...
  8. I did not create it, but copied it from another site and filed it under, "Legends of Autzen," although I did not think I would be using it just a week later!
  9. Man...the schedule is so sad. But it is only for one year! Then they move up to playing....Colorado State, Utah State... Some of us aren't sad....
  10. No, it is not. We lose NINETEEN starters, and only return THREE. When has that ever happened to Oregon football?
  11. Look...they KNEW what they were doing... Right? (Is that Boise State?)
  12. Until Saturday night. They will drop out of the standings in a heartbeat....
  13. First time Klatt got it right?
  14. Yep, this is the Oregon B1G 2024 Surprise Tour, as EVERY team we play will have to learn for themselves. Few will have respect, despite what has been written about it. The legends of Autzen will grow! And we welcome any visiting sucker to buy a ticket!
  15. Yes, that is what I said last to myself last year privately, while crossing all my fingers as I thought it. But this year...we do not have a very large high school recruiting class because we do not have the scholarships available, and if the 105 were being accounted for....then our recruiting efforts would reflect it. Look at how many recruits we have committed for 2025 compared to other teams... 2025 all-teams football recruiting team rankings N.RIVALS.COM 2025 all-teams football recruiting team rankings by Rivals.com My Duck-Buddies, I am a DUCK, not a Chicken-Little, but I think alerting all of you to this is helpful?
