B1G Baseball Tournament: Information and a Bad Matchup?
Time for Sanford to get back in the rotation, if not injured, and build some confidence, we're going to need him in the tournament. He doesn't need to go for a lot of innings but could be a good starter or mid relief guy that goes for 3 innings. Pitching had been our weakness in past tournaments and 1 or 2 pitchers need to step up to make a deep run. Can't always put it on the offense.

Oregon SWEEPS Beavis & for the First Time EVER Sweeps a No. 3 Ranked Team, 3-2!
Now that was an excellent weekend of baseball! Super excited for this team to go out and be able to adapt to the game. They played small ball when needed and then they went on a huge run of consistent batting to mass a 13-1 pummeling in game 2. Followed by another pitching duel in game 3. The Ducks held the Beavs to 5 runs in 3 games while they racked up 20 runs. This is a testament to some excellent pitching, feilding, batting and base running, played 3 complete game with few to little errors. Can't forget to mention the coaching. The biggest difference in the 2 close games was game strategy and the manufacturing points off of minimal hints with minimal base runners. Every part of this team was firing on all cylinders this weekend. Now go out there and do the same on Tuesday.

Ruh-Roh! Ducks Run Roughshod Over No. 3 Oregon State 13-1!
Great game! Love seeing the bats crushing it today. Pitching had been deadly with great fielding backing up the few hits that were given up. Ducks are looking like a complete team!

NFL Draft Round 2 Tonight. Will Any Ducks Get Picked?
Looks like the NFL is sending a clear signal that playing for clicks doesn't fly with them. Who needs the drama in the locker room?

Grayson Grinsell is crushing it as of late! Good job by the bull pin tonight to finish it out. We're going to need another good showing by the pitching staff tomorrow as well. Go Ducks!

Diamond Ducks Win the Series Over No.10 UCLA 10-6!
The offense on this teams is amazing we have 7 batters over .300 with the next guy at .292 and a team average of .301. We have the nations leader in home runs, 73 home runs as a team with 5 players in double digits. This is a great line up of batters this year.

Nico's a Bruin. BE TRUE TO YOUR SCHOOL, Right?
Many of those coaches got absolutely rotated by their former team, just read all the post about Cristobal on this forum. How many of these coaches sat out the first spring practice? I think there's a line that he crossed and he is feeling the brunt of being the first high profile college player to do it. The team had already said no and he made a big public show of it by holding out of the spring game and their are consequences in college and the NFL when you try the hold out move. Had he just said I guess it's not going to work out and declared that he was opting out before the first practice his image would have been in much better shape on par with the coaches that are hated by their former team. Making it extremely public made it so the national media picked it up and there's little sympathy for the 20-year-old making 2.4 million a year that really hasn't proved anything yet. This generally works the same way in the NFL and his agents should have known this.

Oregon's Grayson Grinsell Shuts Down No. 10 UCLA 2-1!
Sounds like it was a great game. Wish I could have watched it but I was a little busy coaching my kids baseball team, at least it was a good trade-off. If any of you are ever in a need of a good volunteering opportunity, coaching or being an assistant coach on a little guy, baseball team is quite rewarding and is needed and greatly appreciated by all the parents. Thanks Charles for all your updates!

Oregon Mauls Maryland 13-3, & Wins Series
The Ducks left 25 runners on base in the first 2 games, wow this could have looked a bit different with just a little more production on O. Of course bad pitching certainly didn't help. Thanks for the updates!

Diamond Ducks Win Nail-Biter Over Terps 5-4!
Unfortunately I had to work for the second half of the game, a little bit more of a nale biter than I thought it was going to be. 3 Homes in 3 innings to take the lead for the Terps was probably more than I wanted to see but the strong finish is exact the type of thing that makes for great baseball.
