  1. This team is looking pretty good out of the gate. A lot of depth at pitcher and some guys that can put the bat on the ball. They played a top 20 team and kept it respectful. Despite giving up 6 runs in the 2nd they fought back to with in 1 before ultimately losing 11-7. Texas Tech had some impressive pitching and the Ducks O was still looking pretty good. The Ducks have the markings of a good team this year hope they improve on the impressive season they had last year.
  2. 12-1 Ducks bottom of the 6th, looking really good against some subpar pitching.
  3. Ducks are up 4-1 in the second inning to start out a 4 game series. Really like to see the hitting getting off too a go start.
  4. Having Dante down low for lobs and clean up duty is ideal. The offense should start from the perimeter with ball movement to open up perimeter shooting, drives to hoop and easy dunks for Dante. I've always liked the Duck teams where the big guy gets their points off rebounds and have more of a defensive mindset with blocked shots and big-time hustle. Jordan Bell comes to mind.
  5. It's good to see Shelstad getting back in his groove, when he's hitting this team is really hard to beat.
  6. Ducks are looking good and hitting 3s. Maintaining good energy and moving the ball well.
  7. Waiting for the Duck game to start so I'm watching the last of the ASU vs UW game and all I can say is the PAC refs really suck. I understand a game where they call it tight or a game we're they just let them play but PAC refs are so wildly inconsistent as to change the entire games trajectory. Can't wait to move to the B1G from what I've seen way better officiating. Just please don't bring the refs with us.
  8. Do to the games being on a obscure streaming app with a high price tage I've been listing to the games, here is the link to live streaming radio. The Varsity Network THEVARSITYNETWORK.COM
  9. Ducks coming out strong playing some decent D, Evans is active and I love it when he plays tenacious D. Offense is doing a lot of pushing the ball off of turnovers and scoring in transition. A little sloppy here and there but I like the pace.
  10. This article has a pretty thorough explanation of all the ins and outs of the networks deals. Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery & Fox Combine To Offer Streaming Sports WWW.GOOGLE.COM Disney, Warner Bros...
  11. Your probably right, I'm sure at some point that steaming will be just as expensive or more expensive than cable. Currently I get NBC, CBS, Fox, and ABC for free over a digital antenna so for me those have very little value. The whole reason for people cutting the cord was to not pay $150 to $200 a month for TV. $50 a month for 2/3 of sports 1/3 of which I can watch for free. I'm not sure that is a sustainable model but then again I am cheap when it comes to TV subscriptions as most of it is junk. Will there be any backlash at $50 for basically ESPN and FS1? Most sports package add-ons for cable or satellite are 13 to $15 which gets you all of the extra channels. This does not include DVR but currently I get ESPN on demand thru the app, I guess there's some value to getting Fox on demand but I'm just not sure it's $35 a month worth for me. If the cable companies up their prices I'll just go back to watching the games on the networks for free. If they quit airing them on the networks then I'll listen to it on the radio. I'm sure I'm in the very small minority that thinks this way and most people will just pony up for it.
  12. $50/a month seam like a lot more than I'd pay. I pay $70 a month for regular cable that includes all those options minus ESPN+.
  13. This could be the true start of the steaming bundle. I hope they get the interface right as that will make it or break it for me. If they get the other two networks on board and I can buy a sports only package I would never buy regular TV again. The true question is how much will it cost.
  14. ESPN, Warner Bros and Fox are launching a huge sports streaming service WWW.BUSINESSINSIDER.COM Sports are the main... I just stumbled upon this, if true we're all in for a surprise.
  15. My 8 year old daughter is now a Kansas City Chiefs fan which isn't great considering I'm a Raiders fan but at least she's watching football now.
  16. For me this is the big one, in this ever rotating coach's carousel families and athletes just wants stability and Lanning is offering that in spades with this comment. The other thing I think many recruits like is that he keeps it real and isn't just a clickbait social media darling full of fluff.
  17. I didn't get to watch the game live and the ESPN app was acting up but what I got to see was Shelstad with a spring in his step that we haven't seen in weeks. This team seems to be gelling with Dante and his conditioning is looks better all the time. This was a really good road win with the team showing better defense and team play. No one wants to play a Altman team in February and this looks to me too be a great start. Personally I'm not too worried about Bittle and I think he's a great player but he's more of a natural 5 spot than a 4. Evans athleticism is a little more in line with the college 4 spot and he can guard the more athletic guards when forced to switch off on a screen. He did a pretty good job on Ellis without fouling. Offense is generally not the problem with this team as just about anyone can score, defense should dictate the personnel on the court.
  18. Talk about the best safety name ever "Savage" is exactly the guy you want patrolling the secondary.
  19. Thanks for bringing up this topic, as an employer I deal with workman's comp on a regular basis and this opens up a really big can of worms. I can only speak to how Montana works but this could get really expensive really quick. I own a restaurant and pay about 1.1% of on top of a salary for workman's comp insurance. If I was a roofing contractor I could pay anywhere from 10% to 20% on top of a salary depending on my safety track record. Football being a relative dangerous sport will lead to some extremely high premiums. Every state has different rules and every college would be assessed differently depending on their track record of safety. Once again this will just lead to more inequality in the balance of schools depending on their state and if they're legislature is friendly to the sport. I'm not saying these kids don't deserve healthcare, they most certainly do. Finding a balance will be extremely difficult and should probably be hashed out between players, schools and the federal government to even the playing field for everyone. I believe it's been said many times on this forum that college football is turning into a minor league sport and this is definitely a step in that direction.
  20. We've had a first rounder or two but never the supporting cast especially at safety. McKinley III was the last real impact safety we've had, once we get a Holland, Boyett, Ward, ect. in the backend everyone on the field will look a lot better.
  21. Arizona has started off strong but the Duck are stepping with some D. Evan is looking good keep it up boy.
  22. Can't wait to get off this channel as well, for so many reasons. It's streaming well for me in Montana on Spectrum. They seem to be getting back to the old line up a little more which is definitely helping. Dante and Bittle are going to take some time to integrate, the entry pass to the low post seams to be a foreign concept. That said there's some real nice flashes of what can be like Dante dishing the ball from the inside out for a 3.
  23. Colorado made the top 25, what a joke. I guess the media plays for clicks too.
