  1. Alabama's coughing up the ball left and right on their side of the field. 2 fumbles and a turnover on downs. Let the whining Begin starting with Kirk Herbstreet.
  2. I would expect Bama to win this one but you just never know which Bama team will show up.
  3. This seems like a really funny metric. Best ball stats quote "In order to calculate EPA for a play, one has to know the expected points before the play and the expected points after the play. Expected points is based on down and yards to go until a first down, and distance to endzone. The values for expected points has been found by taking historical data and computing the average number of points scored by the possessing team in each situation." 33rd nationally in run defence allowing 126 yard a game, 26th in TDs. Advanced metrics and analytics really need to be read and used carefully as a lot of it is situation and some things are really hard to describe with an algorithm.
  4. I'm starting to smell that overpriced flop in the NFL that never ends up amounting to anything. Unfortunately it'll probably be my Raiders that end up drafting him with their first round pick.
  5. This definitely helps with the anxiety. I just rewatched the game from earlier this year and another notable person missing from action most the game was Bryce Boettcher. Bryce seemed to have gotten pulled after he missed a assignment on a TE and I don't recall him getting back in the game. Earlier in the year Bryce was a little too aggressive on the run stopping and blatantly missed passing assignments. He has greatly improved in this area and could prove to be pivotal in helping stop the run along with his greatly improved pass coverage skills he could stop tOSU TEs from picking up 3rd downs over the middle. What I really noticed from the game was how different the ducks look now from earlier in the year. The game was just sloppy and now the execution is much more precise especially on offense. I'm sure the bucknuts have improved as well but I don't think they improved as much as the ducks have. Starting to feel more confident about this game as the days go on.
  6. The 11th ranked team in the B1G (6-6 going into the game) beat the 6th ranked team in the SEC. (8-4) What is going to be the SEC homers excuse this time?
  7. Got to love that Tennessee just didn't show up but all the other teams didn't belong. Tennessee was the third best SEC team and they look like they didn't belong just as much as the other teams. Maybe the SEC should do their own championship bracket and send their best teams oh wait that's called the regular season.
  8. The SEC finally had to play a game outside of the South and look at the result. For way to long they've refused to play a West cost team at home or a BG1 team at home in December or November. Like playing in the south in September isn't a home field advantage.
  9. 52-10 Cats a minute into the 4th quarter! It's going to be a fun opener. Didn't think there would be a tread for this game but welcome to MSU football.
  10. No offense but Sam Houston? Stay a year or two more and he could take a shot at a FBC HC job where his recruiting could really pay off. Learning how one of the best HCs dose it for two or three years then take the better job with more up side. Plus the Ducks get some stability.
  11. I have a very rare and amazing circumstance this year both my teams are 13-0 and are favored to win their prospective championships. I was excepted to UO but attended Montana State because in state tuition was 1/24 of the cost. Long story short I have a FCS team and a FBS team. First off Montana has nothing to do with the Dakotas "them fight works where I come from". Second this is the last team in FCS you want to play early in the season, they eviscerated Idaho 38-7 and looked much better doing it than OBD did. New QB next year against a solid Bobcat D could get interesting. The Cats can put up the TDs on O and could be a lot to handle for a brand new Ducks D. The Ducks should over power them with talent but why take the risk. By the way MSU has been good for awhile and they scheduled this game with them anyway. I'm more than a little conflicted and if it's close I will probably have a heart attack one way or another.
  12. The number two seeds path is the easiest in the bracket as far as I'm concerned would gladly trade with Georgia.
  13. Could we please be the number two seed instead.
  14. Ultimately the defense did exactly what it needs to do for us to win the game. The two turnovers were the difference maker and gave us the win. Huge shout out to both Reed and Manning for stepping up big time this year!
  15. Blatant homerism makes me want to vomit every time.
  16. I'm going with BSU I just think ASU might have a really hard time containing the run game for obvious reasons. Dilly's offense could definitely pose problems to BSU's D but ultimately I think BSU gets the win on the back of their O.
  17. I'll bite, they called this game pretty loose especially in the secondary. They didn't call a lot of penalties for as many as were committed. Many a hold on PSU O line, facemask on PSU, hand fighting on both sides, push offs on both sides, blocking down field on both sides. The important part was the refs were just letting them play rather than legislating a game. When it affected the play they called the foul, exactly how it should be.
  18. It's all about the money, ESPN loses money because Bama is not in the playoffs guess what the committee will do. Every one outside the SEC knows they had their chance and blew it but money talks.
  19. Get a stop here and that's the game.
