Pritchard is Helping Boston WIN!
Go Olde Towne Team! For decades, the only pro team in Boston that played like champions and not chumps. If Red Auerbach lit up a victory cigar on the bench today how long would it take for him to be arrested? Hats off to Pritchard.

Duck Dive: 2024 In-Depth Look Into Each Big Ten School's Football Team
Thank you, NJ. Interesting that none of the 5 teams discussed above are on the 2024 schedule. B1G teams on the schedule in 2025 - Home - Indiana, Minnesota, USC. Wisconsin. Plus Montana State, Oklahoma State, and Oregon State. Road games at Iowa, Northwestern, Penn State, Rutgers, and UW. 7 home games with 2 trips to the Eastern time zone to play Penn State and Rutgers. 2 to the Central time zone to play Iowa and NW. No Michigan and no Ohio State on the regular season schedule in 2025. Ohio State opens 2025 with a home game vs Texas. In Week 2 Michigan plays Oklahoma in Norman. Michigan and Ohio State also play 7 home games in 2025. I'd like to see Rob Mullens doing all he can to have Oregon play 8 home games every season.

For Memorial Day: The Newest USS Enterprise!
Thank you for your service. My Dad was a gunnery officer on a Tin Can in the Pacific Theater, He fought at Guadalcanal, the Battle of the Coral Sea, Midway, and Okinawa. He passed on July 4th at the age of 98. He played 9 holes of golf 3 days a week up to 2 weeks before passing. A generation, male and female, of patriotic, tough people.

Shilo Sanders Files for Bankruptcy
The school where the assault and battery occurred is bankrupt and closed. One reason behind the school's BK was Prime Time's not coming through with a promised gift. Thank goodness Puddles is going B1G and not B12.

Why The Pac-12 Failed ? Can't Stand Up When You Trip-Over the Bottom Line.
DM, love the comment. I envision the field in 2024-25 including 4 to 5 SEC teams, and 3-4 B1G teams, with the ACC, B12, and G5 teams being represented by one team only, and Notre Dame perhaps knocking out an SEC or B1G team. Accordingly, I expect that in 2025-26 seeding will be based strictly on committee rankings. The ACC and B12 are locked in through 2030, then? Notre Dame playing 12 games as an Independent? ND should be required to join a conference. The B1G waits with open arms, or the Irish play 13 regular season games. Whatever we expect to happen in the whirlwind world of CFB will happen sooner rather than later.

Polonius is one of many of Willie's great blow-hard characters. The Bard had a sharp bodkin when it came to separating truth from male bovine excrement. From royalty to Falstaff.

Shilo Sanders Files for Bankruptcy
I represented lenders in my career so yes, I did practice BK law which goes with the territory. Sanders filed BK because he has a multi-million dollar civil judgment against him. Unlike government liens for the payment of back taxes, civil judgments can be reduced and eliminated in BK court as part of a debtor's plan for debt relief. The Constitution specifically allows for debtors to file BK. Why? Many of the Founders and their families before and after emigration faced the ignominy of being sent to Debtors Prison. Future earnings are routinely eliminated from the payment of past debts. It's a matter of public record so I can disclose that when Wayne Newton filed BK, a case I worked on, his future earnings were not available to cover our judgment. The money OJ owed to the Goldmans and Nicole Simpson's family awarded in their wrongful death suit, $33.5M, was paid in part from the sale of Simpson's Heisman Trophy, $230K, but his future earnings and accumulation of assets were exempt from judgment. I expect the same will happen with the Sanders case. Polonius's advice to his son, Laertes, in Hamlet: 'Neither a borrower nor a lender be,' is true today in part but not in whole.

He doesn't have 2 Buffalo nickels to rub together? Being Deion's progeny does not get you off the hook when you commit Assault and Battery. Does Deion have a receipt for the BK filing? I think there are probably better ways to Get Your Clicks, no?

Why The Pac-12 Failed ? Can't Stand Up When You Trip-Over the Bottom Line.
Your bottom line says what you are. (Thank you, Bill Parcells.) The reporting of 2023 Power 5 Conference revenues by Jon Wilner in his recent Mailbag (on a paysite I cannot access.) The numbers reflect what we fans saw from a mile away for over a decade, grossly negligent management of The Conference of Champions. Grossly negligent bordering on criminal with the fans unlike shareholders of public companies having no ability to dump the fools in charge who in turn hired fools to manage the conference. The management cost of the Pac-12 and its wholly-owned network was five times that of other P5 conferences. And with the 'Pig-2' settlement and the Comcast overpayment refund, the fools in charge continue to hose over Pac-10 fans from the grave. No attempt whatsoever to go after Larry Scott for gross mismanagement including but not limited to the Comcast debacle. Let's give Larry a going-away bonus instead. But this was an 'Exclusive Club,' right? Anyone with business and common sense was excluded. Pac-12 - Revenue - $603.8M. Distributed - $403.6M - 66.7% ACC - Revenue -$707M - Distributed $649.3M - 91.8% B12 - Revenue - $510.7M - Distributed -$442M - 86.5% SEC - Revenue - $852.6M - Distributed - $718.2M - 84.2% Big Ten - Revenue - $880M - Distributed - $844M - 95.9% Anyone who believes that Puddles was wrong to fly this coop is welcome to a free CW Network membership.

ESPN SP+ Ranks the Oregon Ducks Second in Big-10
Thanks, Oregon Reigns for the article. SP+ 2024 preseason SEC rankings. Unsurprisingly, the SEC is deeper and higher rated top to bottom than the B1G. Makes sense based on the SEC's recruiting and portal-picking rankings. Oklahoma comes in 8th in the SEC and 15 nationally. How would you like to play this cruel and unusual schedule: Dallas: Red River Rivalry vs Texas. Home Games: Tennessee and Alabama. Road Games: Auburn; Ole Miss; Missouri; and LSU. And do the same in 2025 with only the Home and Road venues changing. Texas A&M Football ranked in the Top 15 according to ESPN’s SP+ AGGIESWIRE.USATODAY.COM Texas A&M’s offseason success has led to rising in the newest ESPN SP+ rankings

A $2.75 Billion Dollar Settlement Will Not Bring Down the College Sports House
Stewart Mandel is one of the best and most impactful college sports journalists. As Stewart so advises, every college sports fan needs to take a deep breath. The House settlement will not incent college sports fans to tune out. In 2021 when the NCAA, at the point of a gun, allowed college athletes to market their Name, Image, and Likeness, viewership of college sports did not drop off. Instead, viewership of money-making football and basketball increased as did viewership of Women's sports. College athletes earning their market value did not destroy fan interest. Mandel: What college sports' pay-for-play era will mean — and won't mean WWW.NYTIMES.COM A day few in college sports would have deemed imaginable even three years ago, much less 30, has (almost) arrived. But we'll keep watching. This article has been posted on another thread but in light of the changes coming from the House settlement, this NY Times article IMO deserves a thread of its own. Puddles will continue to fly high. The viewership after the B1G move will be B1Gger than before.
