  1. A good review but Wisconsin along with Rutgers should have had the difficulty of its schedule noted, a schedule that includes a game at Bama. 'Oregon could be troubled by travel?' I don't see this being a problem for football. Maybe back in the day but it's a six or so-hour flight to New Jersey and not a three to four-day train ride. Guys aiming for the NFL best get used to this kind of travel. "Oregon State is still a solid program." 🤣🤣🤣
  2. Hammerin’ the B1G: Key takeaways from the 2025 Big Ten schedule SATURDAYTRADITION.COM Big Ten football has set the 2025 schedule, and there will be some intriguing matchups across the board.
  3. Ben Koo? Who knew? The author graduated from UT Chattanooga. I'll wait until Saturday night to see how orange is the Shoe. A reliable FG kicker makes two kicks he never misses and the beef is over tOSU not covering, not whether Day should be the coach. BTW, a takeover of The Shoe by Vol fans would be the worst possible look for the Big Ten. BASH BRUTUS! VILIFY THE VOLS!
  4. Charles, great take on the quarter system. How many Trojans players will be making the trip to Vegas to play A+M? "Cancel the bus, we'll use Carol Folt's SUV." For something to Stay In Vegas, doesn't it first have to arrive in Vegas? 😍
  5. Wisconsin, coming to Autzen in 2025, is battling back against the B1G's toughest 2025 conference schedule with 2 QB transfers. Wisconsin lands two starting QBs via transfer portal WWW.YARDBARKER.COM Fickell and his staff had to move quickly to restock Wisconsin's shelves at quarterback, and the Badgers have brought in two veteran quarterbacks in one day to try to turn this thing around for... Drew Allar announces he is returning to Penn State and the PSU backup QB bolts so the QB transfer spots are not filled and he won't be left behind. Does CFB have to be this screwed up?
  6. CBS ideas for a Playoff fix. Change certainly coming to College Football Playoff, but how much and when? 'Too soon to say it's broken' - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM Debate over all matters related to the CFP has the attention of the game's leaders It was broken from conception. This Emperor had no clothes from Day 1. 😩
  7. EXACTLY! This is why OBD needs Ohio State to defeat Tennessee and for Penn State and Indiana to also win the 1st round games. A rising Tide lifted all SEC boats. We need a B1G splash to raise the B1G boats. The B1G needs to be B1G on the field and not just in the banker's office. Most importantly, Oregon has to break through with a title, and then a couple of more to lose the Uncle Phil paid for it all trope. Two-thirds of the population of the USA live east of the Rockies. A John McKay, and Pete Carroll performance, plus, because OBD is north of LA, will be needed to bring Oregon into the blue section of the CFB blood bank. Danno, Division Street, et al are working on making the dream come true. Now Rob, about Boise State and a game at Utah State?
  8. The sine qua non - Rankings equal Seedings. Not sure of the number but there is no need to rank 25 teams and artificially goose the schedule of certain teams. The SEC has 3 teams in the PO field and 50% or more of the conference was ranked during the season. Of course SEC teams will have 'Good Wins.' DUH! Home games for the higher-seeded teams until the 'Super Bowl.' This so-called PO is serving two masters because the PO paymaster, Disney/ESPN, is heavily involved in bowl games. This is not that hard CFB, you only have to look at the NFL and NCAA Playoffs. As is the case with the CBB Committee, SOS and SOR have to matter uniformly and not when it suits the Committee's purpose. A group of 5 team Boise, with a poorer SOS than ASU should not be playing in Phoenix with ASU sent to Atlanta. If this happened to an SEC team Greg Sankey would be going bat spit. Like the CBB Committee, use quads to distinguish good wins and good losses. The CBB rankings are not updated every week but the metrics are updated every week without a broadcast. Like CBB, there will be plenty of discussion without a dedicated television program. Just like we see with the AP and Coaches polls. The media does not run the CBB tournament other than controlling the time the games are broadcast. Yes, some fanatics will beef about CBB team No. 69 being left out but that comes with the territory (and with Dick Vitale.) The CFB PO is a monetized mess with far too many cooks in the kitchen. The G5 should have its own PO. The CFB PO today will lead to the consolidation of the PO with the Power 2 and not ESPN in charge. Before the start of the 2024 season, it was clear that a 12-team PO with senseless seeding might solve the Florida State bruhaha but was going to raise more issues and complaints than the 4-team PO. This season? We should return to the BCS - OBD vs. Georgia - BUT NOT IN ATLANTA! 😁
  9. Where was he vs. Power House Nebraska, I ask ya.
  10. A Reddit Alert SOS 2025 B1G Schedule Ranking. I agree that the Badgers are behind the 18 Ball.
  11. These changes need to happen. WHY does Notre Dame have a vote? Change certainly coming to College Football Playoff, but how much and when? 'Too soon to say it's broken' - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM Debate over all matters related to the CFP has the attention of the game's leaders
  12. Grandpa, are you ready to rock with Rocky Top for 4+ hours? 😍 Almost as bad as the never-ending Fight On! 🤔 I want the SEC to go 1st game 0-2 and UGA to lose to Indiana in the Sugar Bowl. I'm all in with the B1G and looking for BIGger $ come 2031. We are in a two conference fist fight and behind by more than a few rounds.
  13. However, nothing is new under the Sun. OBD had to wait this long for every Parade in Pasadena the Ducks attended. Let the Crocketts and the Days beat up one another in an icebox before they have to play in the Pacific time zone, without all of the pre-game Rose Bowl hoopla. No offense, Lowry's. 😁 THIS is OBD's one geographic break in the SEC-centric PO game sites.
  14. According to Professors Fischer and Einstein, nothing is longer than the CFB off-season and nothing is shorter than the season itself. 🥲 So says my Relative. Are You Ready For Some CURLING? 🙃 Break out the brooms!
  15. I'M SHOCKED! [Rob, pay whatever it takes to drop the game at Utah State, eh?]
  16. Miami fans don't drive 30 miles north of Coral Gables for "Home Games." They're going to travel 239 miles to Orlando? Subtract 14 letters from "T" and you have the correct moniker for this loser. 🦨 U fans, Orange you glad you have Cri$tobal as your head coach? Up 21 points vs. the No. 21 Syracuse Orange with a Heisman finalist QB at the helm, a guy you paid big bucks to, and you lose? A new low for Mari(o)h no)). How lowwww can you go? 🤓 Cam, buddy, even Michael Irvin, Jr. won't be watching this game. 🤮 Cyclones and Hurricanes. At least two or three FEMA folks will be on hand. 💩 Maybe?
  17. VOLS COMIN'! Every Tennessee fan needs to see this College Football Playoff hype video ALLFORTENNESSEE.COM Tennessee is less than one week away from playing in its first College Football Playoff game in program history. After winning ten games this year, the Vols wil Tennessee with the better run game? We'll see.
  18. He'll Skatter You Too! Take a Chip Out of Ryan! Humble Heupel! Cam Skattebo SATURDAYBLITZ.COM Arizona State blew out Iowa State by more than four touchdowns to win the Big 12 Conference title. It was their first outright conference championship since 199
  19. I'm a coward who prefers to play No. 16 Clemson rather than No. 3 Texas. I like the idea of playing Clemson in Dallas rather than Texas in Miami. Texas has a better offense and defense than Clemson. The pressure is on Ryan Day but it is also on Sark. Texas is the FPI (🤪) favorite to win it all and IMO has received far too much love in 2024. Somehow, Texas missed every ranked SEC team other than Georgia. The Horns did not play Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Mizzou. Rinse and repeat this schedule in 2025; think the SEC wanted Texas? Texas went 0-2 vs. PO-bound Georgia with QB Beck out in the second half of the SEC champ game. Texas does not have a Committee Top 25 win. All Hat, no Cattle? And SEC fans beef (Bevo?) about Oregon's schedule? OBD is 3-0 vs. playoff teams and has a win over No. 20 Illinois. What big game in his career has Sark won? Vandy? Oklahoma State? Oklahoma this season finished 6-6. Dabo, like or loathe him is one of two active coaches with a CFB PO Championship; two such championships. Kirby Smart is the other, also with two. Mack Brown who was the third has been replaced by the youthful Billy Bob Belichick. The winner of Clemson at Texas has to play ASU in Atlanta. Clemson is only a 90-minute drive to Atlanta. I'd rather defend Clemson running back Muhfa than Skattebo. TRASH TENNESSEE. BLOW UP THE BUCKS!
  20. Here's a good reason to want tOSU in Pasadena. Does anyone other than a Vols fan want to listen to Rocky Top for 270+ minutes? 😩
  21. A Bucks Wire Take on Tennessee. Ohio State vs. Tennessee: 5 things to know about the Volunteers BUCKEYESWIRE.USATODAY.COM The matchup is set. On Saturday night, December 21, Ohio State will host SEC foe, Tennessee, in a first-round matchup in the new, expanded 12-team College Football Playoff. It’s another clash…
  22. Thanks. Jordan, I'm staying true to "my conference" and the $200K that comes OBD's way with an Ohio State win (NIL for a 3rd string-long snapper?) helps the Buckeyes cause. Several SEC teams play a late-game cupcake as part of an 8-conference game schedule, and not because no player gets beat up like the SEC players. Playing 8 games inflates win totals; especially, when teams like Ole Miss and Missouri play 4 pushovers OOC. This season, Tennessee finished 15th out of 16 in SEC Conference Strength of Schedule. The Vols had a good win over Bama at home but the Tide were not road warriors in 2024, losing to Vandy and Oklahoma on the road. The Vols were never in the game at Georgia and failed to show up at Arkansas, an average football team. When you play the next-to-last easiest conference schedule in this day and age of mega-conferences, you are not ipso facto playing tough opponents just because they are SEC teams. OOC, the Vols played a disappointing NC State, Chattanooga, Kent State, and UTEP. Ohio State also played donut holes OOC. The Vols finished 0-1 vs PO teams; the Buckeyes finished 2-1 with a 1-point loss to OBD. These are two very good teams but one is not better because of the conference in which it plays. The SEC is a deeper conference than the B1G with six PO-worthy teams with Georgia at the top but Ohio State had the more rigorous in-conference schedule with one extra conference game. Traveling to Northwestern is more difficult than playing UTEB at home. I think OBD will play Ohio State in the Rose Bowl on 1/1/25, an iconic and rather ironic, Rose Bowl matchup. BLOW UP THE BUCKEYES! VANQUISH THE VOLS!
  23. This was the season of the G5. Army with the Joe Moore and Boise with a bye? Ridiculous. As was giving Notre Dame a top-25 win with Army No. 20 in the final ranking. Notre Dame's best win of the season. 😧 Seriously? It would be a JOKE; except, multi-millions of dollars are involved. I have been critical of the NCAA but the NCAA's football playoffs are structured and managed far better than this ESPN Playoff nonsense.
  24. For the PO $, Ohio State. For not having to beat a motivated team twice, Tennessee. Vols QB Nico has been good, not great, at home and average at best on the road. The TN D is very good. The tOSU D is the best in CFB. I think it will be the Buckeyes who win this day. Weather forecast for Columbus, Ohio on 10/21. High 30 degrees. Low 19 degrees. Wind 10-15 mph. With an 8 PM KO, it will be closer to 19 than 30 at the start of the game. The wind chill factor could be between 9 and 4 degrees. 🥶 The last time Ohio State lost to Michigan and made the PO along with Michigan, Ohio State let it all hang out, and if Marvin Harrison had not been injured the Buckeyes likely win the game vs. Georgia and go on to defeat TCU in the champ game. In 2024 this Buckeyes team lost 2 games by 4 points.
