  1. Running Duck, I get the Prime comment, no doubt, but I believe Travis Hunter deserves to be in NYC and will be a deserving winner. Would I like Gabe to win? Heck yes. He isn't getting the credit he deserves and he would certainly be deserving. But Oregon is as "quiet" a 13-0 team as I've ever seen and unlike 2023, this is not the year of the QB in CFB.

  11. A Great Way to Start the Day (not Ryan.) Dumping on Bama. And the Principal Architect of this PO Mess. SEC and Greg Sankey kept Alabama out of the College Football Playoff TROJANSWIRE.USATODAY.COM SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey was slow to adjust to the reality of the 12-team playoff. His lack of adjustments very clearly hurt Alabama and Ole Miss. Perhaps you might want to give reasonable SEC schedules to Bama and Georgia and not Mizzou and Texas? Then again, Bama lost at Vandy and was Mugged in Norman. ๐Ÿ˜

  15. Desert, I think it's 1-18? 1-14? NO PROBLEM, right? ๐Ÿ˜’
  16. 1-18 vs. the Top 5. Wouldn't you be testy? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ "Lopsided Officiating." Move over, Sark. ๐Ÿ˜ It Isn't My Fault! ๐Ÿ˜œ
  17. Thanks, Alex. But 'dominating' Penn State? My empty bottles of IPA and Pepto Bismal beg to differ. Dominate Ohio State? Just win baby! Pretty? Ugly? It doesn't matter. Georgia - Which Georgia team shows up and how serious is Carson Beck's injury? I don't see UGA even with its great D advancing to Atlanta with Beck not playing. The Georgia O has not lit up scoreboards in 2024. However, the Dawgs D held Texas to three TDs in two games. The D versus Texas in 2024 came up with 13 sacks and 15 Tackles For Loss ๐Ÿ˜. It was a grind but even down to its second-string QB, UGA getting points in Atlanta was a gift. IMO, if OBD can defeat Ohio State/Tennessee with one team coming off a momentum-building win, and all hands are able to go in the next two games, I like OBD's chances. Especially with a wake-up call for the D in Indianapolis. Of the QBs still playing ball, I like Gabe to blow his horn in Atlanta on 1/20/25. Our OBD guy is the best player at the most critical position heading into the CFB playoffs. Thanks again. Trash Tennessee! Blast the Buckeyes! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Athletic's Bruce Feldman has OBD winning it all. Cites Gabe as the best QB in the field. "Gaberiel has a 22-3 TD-to-INT ratio versus ranked opponents in the last three seasons. And Gabriel has played against and defeated Texas." FIRST - Vanquish the Vols or Crush the Buckeyes!
  18. You will never obtain favorable results from a faulty design. Oregon and Georgia should have 1st round byes. After the 1st round games are played, Oregon should open against the lowest-ranked team still standing in a 14-team field and Georgia the second lowest-ranked team. This is how the NFL with decades of Playoff experience does things. Second. LOSE THE BOWLS! Do not try to serve two masters. Using traditional bowls and playing the champ game in Dixie equates to 5 of the 7 PO sites in Dixie as is the case this and next season. Play games on the home fields of the higher-ranked teams before the College Super Bowl or at least until the semifinal round. It isn't always sunny in Philadelphia, Buffalo, Green Bay and Chicago. ๐Ÿ˜So what! It's FOOTBALL. Third. Adopt and disclose standard metrics for rankings and seedings. This is not difficult. Model the CFB Committee on how the CBB Committee operates. Adopt Quads or the equivalent, to value wins. There is no way a G5 team with close wins against Wyoming and Nevada should be seeded anywhere other than No. 14. Boise has a great player and a very good loss. So Boise like OBD and UGA gets a bye? The CFB Committee pays for advanced SOS and SOR stats that are not available to the public and seemingly ignores these resources. SOS is at the top of the list for the Committee to take into consideration. This did not happen this season. Is the goal to incent teams and conferences to play the easiest possible schedules? Why in the heck is Texas opening at Ohio State next season when both teams are in the field in 2024 with the best OOC win being the Longhorns win on the road versus a 7-5 Michigan team? Why is OBD opening with No. 1 FCS seed 13-0 Montana State (and counting) and not Portland State? (Rob?) Why Oklahoma State and not Tulsa? Fourth. From a proverbial mile away you could see this train wreck coming. From the first rankings release it was apparent that the 5th seed, while having to play one more game would have the easier path to the championship game. Senseless. Come 2025/26, the Powers-That-Be (the Power 2) must insist on the Committee being less opaque, and the Committee's final rankings matching the PO seeding. If you want 5 conference champs in the mix, fine. But No. 9 Boise State should be the 14th seed opening at Texas and No. 16 Clemson should be the 13th seed opening at Penn State. (BTW - how do you figure that a Clemson team that just defeated SMU should be No. 16 with SMU No. 10?) I like Dan's attitude: Winning a championship should not be easy! But, like the NFL, the best team in the regular season should have the easiest path to the Super Bowl. The regular season should not be a whimsey. Obliterate Ohio State! Trash Tennessee!

  21. It's B1G! One-third๐Ÿค‘ of the PO Field. With 4 B1G teams headed to the Playoff, it really does just mean more โ€ฆ SATURDAYTRADITION.COM Sunday was stress-free for the B1G. It knew it was sending 4 teams to the Playoff. Turns out, that's more than any other league. The SEC is so rough, tough, and manned up that BAD losses to 6-6 SEC teams shouldn't count!๐Ÿ˜
