  1. I don't believe I'd worry about tOSU being a PO lock. 3 takeaways from Ohio State’s resounding victory over Indiana SATURDAYTRADITION.COM Ohio State started off slowly but eventually put Indiana away with a dominant 3rd-quarter push for a big Week 13 win.
  2. And then, depression descended on Dixie.😁 10 things I’m absolutely overreacting to after Week 13 in the SEC WWW.SATURDAYDOWNSOUTH.COM Just when we thought we had it figured out, 3 SEC Playoff hopefuls lost in Week 13. At least we nailed Indiana, right? On that and so much more in and around the SEC.
  3. At least Lame Kitten no longer has to worry about playing in the SEC Champ Game, losing, and being dropped out of the Playoff. 😁 At least Memphis isn't far from Oxford and I hear the Music is good. Which is nice. 😍
  4. Thank you, Jordan. I come in favor of burying the dirty dogs and not praising them; however, I do have to give a Hats Off to Jedd Fisch for having UWho bowl eligible after losing 40 players from a champ game roster and losing a winnable game in Seattle to Wazzu. UWho is not to be confused with Mel Gibson's Road Warrior character. the Fuskies are Oh-Four on the road in 2024. But UWho has been a tough out in the Pacific Time Zone with the loss to WSU being its only Left Coast loss. This will be a Focus Game for OBD. Hard not to look ahead at the game on 12/7, likely versus No. 2 Ohio State. TOSU has enough of an advantage with the champ game being played in the Eastern time zone. And tOSU will be playing Michigan at Noon on Saturday. Here's hoping the Ducks get a 3:30/12:30 tee time and not a 10:30/7:30 tee time. But with the 8 games in a row schedule, why not give the Ducks one fewer day to prepare before tripping to Detroit? This season to date, Mel Gibson, takes a back seat to OBD. NBC I'm certain would love to have the Domers at USC game. So, come on CBS! Game time is 4:30 Pacific, not too bad. 👍
  5. COMMENT 13 is Over and Out. There's too much at stake. I apologize 4 my Triskaidekaphobia. But it's a League Game, Smoke. 😁
  6. Who Knew? With yesterday's SEC debacle, Georgia, with its victory over the Mighty UMass Minute Men, clinched a spot in the SEC Champ Game! (BTW - Worst pick-up line ever? Hello there, I'm a Minute Man, can I buy you a drink? 😍)
  7. Lucky? After playing 8 straight games vs. B1G competition and surviving late in the slate travel demands while playing two teams coming off byes in game 7 and game 8? I hope the B1G doesn't do the same to OBD in 2025. The Duck has earned the chance to doze. I can't believe the SEC is playing the same conference schedules next season with only a change in venues. Why did the Bama, Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma, and Mississippi State (😁) ADs go for this red carpet welcome for Texas and a tough row to hoe for the SEC Blue Bloods? And with 8 conference games, the SEC will have all of the tie-breaker worries it is having this season. You never know when an Indiana or Vandy will pop up. But IMO (beside making Notre Dame play 10 P4 games) the Power 2 should divide their conference into quads and while keeping traditional rivalries in place, make the in-conference schedules as balanced as possible. And you cannot set up B1G vs SEC games without a change in the PO format when the PO Committee ignores SOS as has been the case to date. Why is Ohio State opening against Texas next season and Michigan playing at Oklahoma? For that matter, why is OBD playing OK State and not Tulsa? Michigan wasn't punished for playing three G5 opponents OOC in 2023 and the winner of the 2024 B1G champ game with no P4 opponets OOC, will be the PO's No. 1 seed. HECK OF A FORMAT! As to physicality. If you caught any of Penn State's close escape against Minnesota, you missed as physical a game as I have watched all season. Thanks, Mike, it's always good to read and ponder your comments. FROM Stewart Mandel's wrap-up - This is the first time since 2011 that Bama has failed to score a TD 😵. Other than this Mrs. DeBoer, how did you enjoy Norman? 😍
  8. With its reconstructed O line, Georgia. And the Dawgs will prove this with its second win over Texas in the SEC champ game.
  9. Hats Off to Notre Dame for finishing 3-1 vs. the G5. One Heck of an Accomplishment for a Proud Program! And that Huge Win over A+M! (What's that? A+M Has THREE losses?) But don't forget another 5-0 vs the Awesome ACC. Didn't you watch Ferocious FSU blowout out Charlotte yesterday? And Yes, Virginia, you do Stink! 😁 But the Domers have The Men of Troy left to play; a Trojan team that finally won a 4th quarter. 🤣 What a $CAM. PS - Please enjoy the time off on the day OBD is battling the No.2 team in the country.
  10. Greg Sankey had to go through a case of Pepto Bismal yesterday. Who are these guys? 3-loss Ole Miss self-destructed like it did at the end of the game vs. LSU. The refs did all they could to hype the Longhorns and Aggies reunion to no avail as now 3-loss A+M went down in the 4th OT. And 3-loss Bama. What in Hades was THAT? Is there a single Road Warrior in Dixie this season? Bama - losses at Vandy, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. Come Back Saint Nick! Continuing to play a B12 schedule in the SEC (insert Georgia for B12 Oklahoma) Texas took care of business vs. a mediocre (sorry, Greg) Kentucky team. The Horns best win? Looks to be against 6-5 Oklahoma. And don't look now Sark but with yesterday's furor it looks like you be playing Georgia in Atlanta on 12/7. 😁 Greg, the floor is yours.
  11. Thanks, 30. In answer to your question: HECK YES! Jim Knowles Buckeyes D was not the group that made the trip to Eugene. Yes, there are still holes, especially at cornerback, but how about this statistic? SACKS vs. OBD - ZIP! SACKS SINCE THE OREGON GAME BEFORE SATURDAY, 17. SACKS AFTER A HOOSIERS HOSING, 22. Ohio State played ferociously yesterday, including another rebuilt O line. The game looked like what it was, future NFL players versus G5 All-Stars. Indiana battled but the Hoosiers were outmanned and had to play a perfect game to win and did not do so. To defeat the Buckeyes in Indianapolis, Ohio State will defeat Michigan and be OBD's opponent, The Ducks D will have to play better than it did in Autzen and pressure QB Will Howard who despite his stats is still a weak link. And OBD's O-line better be ready to play its best game of the season. Yesterday, The Ohio State University looked like a team on a national title mission and the fans who travel in droves to Indianapolis had the old shoe rocking. BUT FIRST THINGS FIRST. Danno needs to get a mangy dog off of his back. WASTE WASHINGTON! PS - Is Gus Johnson the recruiting coordinator for Ohio State? 😧
  12. Hats off to Lame Kitten. 😁Looks like the 'best team in the SEC' will enjoy the Citrus Bowl.
  13. Where he ends up in the P4? Unknown. But Tulane QB Darian Mensah who beat out Ty, is going to be highly valued if he portals out. Word is that his representatives have already been contacted by Miami. Kurtis Rourke transferring from Ohio to Indiana is Exhibit A for what a G5 QB can do for a P4 program.
  14. I agree that the SEC is deeper than the B1G. But which schedule would PSU and Indiana play? The Mizzou/Texas schedules or the Georgia/Bama schedules? Indiana had one common opponent with Texas, both defeated Michigan. And which team would show up? Georgia at Ole Miss or Georgia at Texas? Bama vs. Tennessee, Vandy, or Georgia? Ole Miss vs. Georgia or Ole Miss vs. Kentucky? Texas vs. Oklahoma or Georgia? I do not see a consistently elite team in the SEC in 2024. This is the case for most of CFB with the possible exceptions of OBD and Ohio State. However, both Oregon and tOSU have struggled in 2024. It will be interesting to watch the games if both the B1G and the SEC put four teams into the PO. How will SEC teams perform in the North in the post-season? A question B1G fans have asked for decades. A White Out in a possibly literal whiteout in December in Happy Valley will not be easy for any team, SEC or otherwise. With 5 of the PO games being played in Dixie, advantage SEC. I reiterate. To date, no team is being PO-hosed over more than the Athens Dawgs. Best of luck today with UMass. 😁
  15. Atticus, is that you? 😁
  16. Friends CalBear + 30, Texas has the same number of wins vs the Committee's Top 25 as Indiana and it has one more loss than Indiana. The SEC is deeper but the SEC will have nine fewer losses than the B1G until it plays 9 conference games. This Saturday sees games vs. UMass, UTEP, and THE CITADEL! In a 14-week season, these games = a third Off Week late in the season. Mizzou is 23 simply because it's in the SEC. Mississippi State, Kentucky, Florida, and LSU aren't all that. Not every SEC game is a battle of behemoths like never witnessed before. I kind of get the SEC playing 8 but the ACC? And I get SCOREBOARD. The SEC has earned its football field bona fides. 8 games have the potential to result in utter champ game chaos. Make It So!
  17. Move Over Tubes! Only Washington D.C. could view the underdog story of the Indiana Hoosiers as a problem SPORTS.YAHOO.COM Indiana barreling into a late November game with Big Ten title and playoff stakes on the line should be held up as a reason why college football is better because of NIL and the transfer portal.
  18. I just checked in with Pee Wee, Tiny Tim, and Gilbert Gottfried who all disagree with McShade. A McShade sighting? Who knew? 😁
  19. The B1G Champ game is in a dome in 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028 when the game moves from Indy to Las Vegas. But Midwest home games could get nasty. As could a game in Eugene in December. I played games in the snow growing up in New England. No one died. It was FUN. All CFB players would have been happy to be in the NFL and playing ball in Cleveland last night. I have to disagree with you here, my friend. These are Football Players. I think games in tough conditions are perfectly acceptable and to be expected.
  20. B1G Whoop. No one knows what the landscape of CFB will look like come 2031. It could be that the Power 2 will have scavaged Notre Dame and ACC/B12 teams of interest, and the Power 2 will collectively go to the media marketplace and/or move the games to Venu. Venu was not formed on a whim. And today's antitrust issues could be gone before 2031, especially with the change in Congress. Who needs a PO when you can play a CFB World Series? Who needs to share the $ with weaker conferences? Do I like this? Not especially but Size goes to Size in business and I think something like the above is inevitable; especially, if the House settlement is approved. How many programs will be able to step up to $20M+ a year in direct payment to athletes?
  21. Will it be Cig or Chip who Wins The Day on Saturday? Big Ten football: Indiana’s Cignetti backing up words in historic season SATURDAYTRADITION.COM No one saw the Hoosiers' rise coming -- except, apparently, their 1st-year head coach, who has IU on the cusp of a CFP berth ahead of the biggest game in program history.
  22. Greg Sankey, Serenading for the SEC? Who knew (except the folks in Tallahassee. 😁) 🫣🤣🥲 You Go, Greg! And with the conference so deep from top to bottom it won't be upsetting when Kentucky beats Texas, Auburn beats A+M, the Cowbells beat Mizzou, and Florida swamps Ole Miss, Right? I do think Georgia will survive UMass and the Vols will take down UTEP. 😊
  23. So nice to sit back, relax, and watch the Hoosiers/Buckeyes battle for the right to play OBD on 12/7/24. 😍 Breaking down Oregon Ducks Big Ten Championship opponent scenarios in play this weekend” WWW.YARDBARKER.COM Oregon fans will get to sit back worry-free this weekend and watch the rest of the college football landscape unfold knowing their Ducks are the No. 1 team in the country and have already...
