  1. Absolutely! Maybe via litigation, the Pac-2 hangs in for the playoff through 2026 but after that? Sayonara. What really stinks is that the 2 left behind draw more fans and are better programs than a number of B12 programs.
  2. The Pac-12 should file a Chapter 7 liquidation. As part of the liquidation plan, give OSU and WSU the Pac-12 trademark and give the 2 a bigger piece of the assets after liabilities are paid off, including a Comcast suit asset that should be filed against Larry. The lawsuit the left-behind schools filed should have been settled via negotiation/mediation. But I have zero beef with the 2 left-behind schools filing the same. It's interesting that on the way out the door, the Pac-10 setting sail schools could be leaving 2 NY6 games money behind.
  3. College Football Odds: Looking Ahead to Colorado-Oregon Odds for Week 3 WWW.ODDSSHOPPER.COM Web site created using create-react-app Depending on this Saturday's results, I expect these odds will trend more in the direction of CU. A 2 TD win over CU in Autzen is what I hope to see but on the road against a ranked TCU, CU put up a lot of points and the Ducks pass D will be stressed.
  4. Roll against CU? I think that this is selling this CU team way short. And perhaps, selling the Ducks pass D too high? 9/30 at Stanford, agreed. 10/14 at UW? And the game after at home vs. WSU will not be a layup. No easy day in the Conference of Quarterbacks in 2023.
  5. NO! The pollsters will wait to see what happens in Week 4 when the Buffs rubber hits the Autzen road. A win against a G5 team in Boulder will not jump #18 CU over a G5 winner at home in Eugene, #13 Oregon. Move up? Maybe. But both the Ducks and Buffs moving after a weak Week 3 group of games depends upon teams ranked above them being upset.
  6. And also equipping the Gameday crew with 'Deion Sanders (no joke!) shades. A media magician.
  7. Daughter Hillary, a Junior at CU at the time, now an MD and Mom to my 3 grandkids, and I were in the B1G House for this: 29 years ago? Say it ain't so! https://athlonsports.com/college-football/colin-cowherd-michigan-stadium-the-craziest-cfb-moment-miracle-big-ten-colorado
  8. Desmond Howard rips Jay Norvell over Deion Sanders comments SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM Desmond Howard called Jay Norvell's comments on Deion Sanders 'petty' and 'ridiculous.'
  9. This should help UW recruiting, right? UW finally escapes Larry's Loser Network yet still gets The Bird.
  10. If Tuck gets trucked and it looks like things are headed toward the guy being self-inflicted pan-caked, I think the obvious choice would be to bring back Pitt HC and former MSU DC, Pat Narduzzi. Then, perhaps Narduzzi will shut up about poaching, NIL, and the transfer portal.
  11. Thank you, DNC, terrific take. I also recall the OL under Mario and his crew struggling to put away Fresno and Stony Brook. Far too often under Mario, the team including the OL played down to the competition. See, ASU. I'm definitely on board with you in regard to the game at Ohio State. But a 1-point Rose Bowl win over a 3-loss team with one of the now top NFL QBs leading the way? OL is a ballet. Lots of new guys were on stage in the 1st true game of the year in Lubbock. And as expected, the hostile crowd contributed to lots of OL miscues. It's a long season and we are only 2 games in if you count the 1st game against the junior, junior, varsity. I expect the OL play will improve during the course of the 2023 season. I expect the run game will materially improve this Saturday. I for one am not ready to count out the OL and the Ducks run game. Again, thanks for the great take.
  12. I did not forget that UGA plays a Varsity game this Saturday. And I was tempted to take UGA to cover the big spread. I think UGA will do so and that Rattler will be running for his life but strange things have occassionally happened when the Dawgs play USC(e.) I am very happy that UGA will finally be able to show its worth on the way to a potential 3-peat. GO DAWGS!
  13. MY BAD! Shedeur and Travis are both draft-eligible after this season and both will be headed to the NFL.
  14. Any and all shots at Deion are entirely reasonable and expected, no doubt, by Deion. But the Prime Time Show tripping to Eugene in 2023 is a huge benefit for Oregon football compared to having the same game on the schedule in 2022. Bill Connelly - ESPN+ writes - "Week 4 will give us Ohio-State - Notre Dame, Alabama - Ole Miss and a shockingly big Colorado - Oregon game." Without Prime Time, next Saturday's game would have kicked off at 7:30 Pacific on Larry's Network. It may not have drawn an Autzen full house. Now, the ticket cost will come close to the cost when SC visits Eugene. The game would have been watched by 25% or fewer folks who will now tune in at 12:30 Pacific on ABC. Now a likely lead-in game to Ohio State - Notre Dame. The game will get the ESPN full Monty coverage during the week and post-game. And will be watched by the vast majority of recruits across the USA. As the folks in the SEC learned, a Rising Tide lifted all SEC boats. CU at Oregon will be under the Neon bright lights and not hidden under Larry's bushel.
  15. BOOOOOOOOO! Hawaii vs Oregon Prediction, Odds, Trends and Key Players for College Football Week 3 FANSIDED.COM Last week, it came down to the wire for Oregon as they beat Texas Tech 38-30 on the road. They needed 20 fourth quarter points to get the comeback victory after Pay no attention to this guy. Move right along.
  16. The coaches, the quarterback, and the culture of Colorado football SATURDAYBLITZ.COM There's an old country saying, "If you want the bull, you get the horns." That is precisely what you get when you hire Deion Sanders. While ... In an earlier post, I was in error (no surprise there) noting that Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter have another season to play before being draft-eligible. Both are draft-eligible after this season.
  17. Perhaps? But ESPN, Fox, and the national media are not yet sleepy. And the folks who hired Prime are most happy. CU football had not been relevant for two decades before this hire. In 2022, no one gave a whip about a 1-11 team that was probably the worst team in the P5. Love him or hate him, Prime and CU are dominating the coverage of CFB to date. Does anyone think that ESPN and the Big Noon game crew would show up in Boulder on the same Saturday last season? And when a guy like Jay Norvell pipes up, it just helps Prime pump up the disrespected music. Music that Prime loves to hear. From a monetary and to-date W/L POV, this is likely the best HC hire in the history of the game. Deion has already covered his salary and then some.
  18. Colorado football: Get your popcorn ready for Deion Sanders vs. Jay Norvell SATURDAYBLITZ.COM Colorado football is the most interesting team in the nation to start the 2023 season. The Buffaloes have begun a new era under Deion Sanders after years o...
  19. None of this helped the Ducks but there are a whole lot of guys on that Ohio State team still playing in the NFL. Even with all hands on deck, Oregon was not going to defeat that Ohio State team. He flamed out in the NFL but Urban vs. Helfrich in a college game?
  20. I think CU wins at least 8 regular season games and its bowl game. Bowls will be clamoring for CU this season, and down the road if Deion stays in Boulder. I think that along with Utah, CU will be competing for B12 championships right out of the box. Especially, with Shedeur back for one more in 2024 along with Travis Hunter. I also believe that CU recruiting will pick up and that lots of portal guys will be looking for an invite from Deion. Look at the national pub CU is getting and also, positive and negative, on OBD and other sites. I do not see CU being shuttled very often to the Pac-12 network. I think that CU will defeat CO. ST., at ASU, Stanford, Arizona, at WA ST., and will win at least one of Oregon State at home, on the road at UCLA, and/or Utah. To date, this team does not commit penalties; and does not shoot itself in the foot. The OC, DC, and OL assistants he hired are all solid.
  21. Nothing's fair in love and football and Deion will certainly not go out of his way to be fair.
  22. Well, Colorado State coach Jay Norvell took DL off the hook this week with an ad hominem directed straight in Prime's direction. Stupid is as stupid does. Although DL's comment was, as Dr. Jacks noted, possibly directed at CU Athletics in general (FWIW, I don't think it was) Deion will take advantage of DL's shot at CU. Unlike Norvell, how was DL to know that Prime was going to deliver on his promises? IMO, Norvell erred by commision. DL erred by quasi-commission. But DL's words are still going up on Prime's CU bulletin board. IMO, it will not have a thing to do with the Ducks game. I think Norvell's comment is forage for CU to light it up and pile it on against CO. State.
  23. Thank you, Darren. And thank you, Charles, for coming with the Bird Bombs take. But a bird in the hand ... You simply do not want to be all the way with Bird Bombs Away! Let's Go For 2! Does anyone else recall kicking an extra point not being an option in Lincoln, Nebraska? The 2 points put up against TT was a lucky, lucky, lucky, conversion. I certainly respect coach Timmy Chang who took Hawaii to the Sugar Bowl when he was playing QB for the Warriors. But Hawaii comes in with a one-trick throw the ball O and an L versus Stanford in Honolulu. I see this as a 'get well' game and not a 'trap game' before Prime comes to town. Aloha! It will be 'hello' Hawaii followed by an emphatic, 'goodbye!'
  24. Or, with the playoff possibly going to 16 teams in 2026, why not play an FCS school as Game 1 of the season in the Spring Game? Then, every P4/G5 school plays Game 2 on what is now Week 0. The little guy gets paid and with 1 idle week, the playoff does not have to run into the middle of January.
