  1. Saint Nick is not pleased. DeBoer got the benefit of the Follow-The-Leader doubt last season, but this season? UW players praised DeBoer for being a 'Player's Coach.' Can he morph into a Saban butt kicker? https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/nick-saban-disappointed-by-alabamas-loss-says-florida-state-dominated-the-line-of-scrimmage-on-both-sides/?eid=c7d8647c6247db8d08c59fe44bc30380a147aa90b9e33099045cd46ddc6a485b&f

  5. Clemson also has SMU, Duke, and FSU at home, and road games at Louisville and South Carolina, both teams it lost to at home last season. After A&M, the only games that could be troublesome for the Irish are SC in South Bend, and at Arkansas and Pitt. Other than No. 19 A&M, there are no currently ranked teams on ND's schedule. Assuming the PO Ct. truly values SOS, LSU had the best win of the weekend, taking down No. 4 Clemson on the road. That's a CBB Quad 1+ win. LSU plays Florida, South Carolina, and A&M in Baton Rouge. Road games at Ole Miss, Bama, and Oklahoma will be tough. That's six games of the next 11 games vs. six teams currently ranked in the AP top 25. GULP!
  6. Miami - No. 5 - Nice win over ND, but - 9/11/21 - OBD 35 - Ohio State 28 Including putting Joe Moorhead in the hospital, and a choke job at ASU, Mario failed to put the icing on what should have been a spot in the PO. Will we see a redux of a late 2024 Miami at Syracuse choke?

  8. A few Week-1 thoughts. Week 1- 86 transfer QBs started. So, should we 86 recruiting QBs and find our passers only from the portal? Sag on the rebound in 2026? One of the last QBs to transfer, Jake ("I was framed") Retzlaff, led Tulane to a beatdown of Northwestern, with Transfer QB Preston (Hands Of) Stone throwing four picks. NW takes over the Big's No. 18 spot from Purdue. Indiana led the entirety of its first eight games in 2024. In the opener against Old Dominion, the Hoosiers fell behind 11 seconds after kickoff. This had Cig smoking! Whether it's Jim Knowles or Matt Patricia, against TOSU, Sark's O goes dark. Golden Boy Archie threw more ad pitches on Saturday than he did TDs. Despite a pregame decapitation, the Duck and the Ducks carried on for a B1G opening win. Tacos were not on the concession menu, but Taco (Bell) Dowler balled out for the Bobcats. Do Not Blame the Messenger, please—the No. 1 player on Bill Connolly's Week 1 Heisman Ballot - UWho's B1G Co-O Player of the Week Jonah Coleman, with 177 rush yards, 1 catch for 22 yards, and a 26-yard KO return. UW will be 3-0 when 3-0 Ohio State pays a visit in Week 5. Week 5 will be B1G! Ohio State at UW; USC at Illinois; Indiana at Iowa, and a White Out at Penn State 😁! Lasso the Cowboys!

  15. You'd think A Man over 40 would have slightly more sense. 🤪Cents? "Died on Saturday, Buried on Sunday. This is the end, Of Solomon (Mike) Gundy." 😁
  16. In another embarrassing opener, it's TCU 48 -14 with two minutes left. Other than that, Jordon, how did you enjoy Chapel Bill's first game? UNC will be the 33rd NFL team, right? 🤮This sure looked like the Pats after Tommy left for Tampa. 😁 How about the shot of Bill without Brady working at a Dunkin' Donuts 🤣. National reaction after Bill Belichick's shocking college football debut OK, I'm piling on, but I'm a disgruntled Pats fan. Mr. UNC AD, have a really nice day. 😊
  17. Spartans Wire agrees with your UW in the middle-of-the-B1G take. https://sports.yahoo.com/article/big-ten-power-rankings-where-234508599.html OBD No. 4? Illinois' beatdown of the non-entity FCS W. Illinois Leathernecks was better than OBD's waxing of an FCS power? Someone must have cut the line from Eugene to the Spartans Wire. 🤪

  19. I think Gundy will find the Ducks and Autzen to be lactose intolerant. 😁
  20. Do not sell this UW team short! UW was killing CO State stat-wise the entire game, but it only showed up on the scoreboard in the 2nd half. 513 total yards does not stink. 223 rush yards with Jonah Coleman putting up 177 of those yards is just fine. QB Demond Williams, who showed incredible guts against OBD last season, was 18 of 24 for 232 yards and a TD. I think the Over 7.5 wins is a solid bet, a bet my LV friends and I made in the preseason. UW will be far from an easy out. The yo-yo-like B1G schedule won't help the cause, but Ohio State, Illinois, and OBD had best be prepared for a 60-minute game in Seattle, against a well-coached team. On the road against Wazzu, Maryland, Michigan, Wisconsin, and UCLA are all winnable games. And Rutgers and Purdue in Seattle should be wins. This is a sleeper B1G champ and PO team that could go 10-2.

  22. Great post, Gat, thank you. As Charles so noted, NIL, free agency, and now Revenue Sharing have spread talent around. However, in 2025-26, I believe we will see what we see almost every season: a team ranked in the top 6 in the preseason AP Poll winning it all. This season, how about a Yo 7! for OBD! Winning a Natty requires three or four wins against top competition and turns Cinderella into a PO Pumpkin. Watch out for Georgia. In the midst of Texas and Arch Madness and the 'no more baffling losses for Bama' rhetoric 😁, Georgia just keeps plugging away. IMO, three Nattys in five seasons would have the CFB Captain Ahabs chasing the Moby Dawgs.
  23. Some interesting Week 1 results based on 247 Sports 2025 Composite Roster rankings. Four of the top-10 ranked teams, No. 2 Alabama, No. 4 Texas, No. 7 Clemson, and No. 9 Notre Dame, lost in Week 1. Texas and Clemson lost to the higher-ranked No. 3 Ohio State and No. 6 LSU, Notre Dame lost to No. 15 Miami, and Bama lost to No. 19 FSU. No. 26 UCLA (?) lost to No. 44 Utah, and No. 57 Northwestern lost to No. 68 Tulane. UCLA plays the highest-ranked G5 team, No. 51 UNLV, in Vegas this Saturday. No. 42 Iowa is the underdog, +2.5, on the road at No. 71 Iowa State this Saturday - Fox Big Noon game, 9 AM Pacific and 11 AM in Ames, Iowa No. 49 Oklahoma State rides into Eugene to play No. 5 OBD on Saturday. CBS 12:30 Pacific. In his final season, Gary Danielson pays a visit to Autzen. Lasso the Cowboys!
  24. Keep On Piling On the Fools Paradise Index. 🤪 Scarlet and GameESPN's SEC bias reaches preposterous proportions after Oh...Despite Ohio State taking down Texas in the first game of the season, this ESPN analytic still has a clear SEC bias.
  25. One error that I found in the article. Notre Dame has a bye this week and hosts Texas A&M in Week 3. IMO, the ND conservative play calling last night played right into Mario's ground it out game plan.
