  1. I can no longer find mine. 😧 OBD - Rose Bowl over tOSU. Orange Bowl over Texas. Payback from way back on 1/20/25 in front of Dawgs fans in The ATL. This time Kirby, your pupil Dan has the players. 😍Revenge is a dish best served in Hotlanta, and Three Years Old. 🤩
  2. Happy Valley in September should be a friendlier locale than in November. The latest trip East is the visit to Iowa on 11/8.
  3. Far too logical to model the ESPN Playoff after the NFL and NCAA Football Playoffs. Tennessee Will Totter. The Buckeyes Will Be Bucked.
  4. Friend Happy, four trips East, two Central and two Eastern, and one trip to The Other School Up North. No back-to-back road games. No Bucks before the Champ game in Indy. 😁 With the possible exception of Penn State on the road, OBD should be favored in every game. Current Rose Bowl odds: OBD -1.5 vs Ohio State, and -4.5 vs Tennessee. Make Ryan + Chip Lose the Day! No Roses for Vols tripping to Pasadena for the 1st time in 79 years!

  6. The hire of Bill is not being universally applauded.😵 Bill Belichick to UNC memes: Social media pokes fun at longtime NFL coach's decision to join Tar Heels WWW.SPORTINGNEWS.COM The news of Bill Belichick joining UNC came as a shock to many — but that didn't stop people from flexing their sense of humor in response.
  7. 6 reasons why the hire won't work; one for every Super Bowl ring. 😁 6 reasons why Bill Belichick's new coaching job at North Carolina won't work WWW.SPORTINGNEWS.COM On Wednesday, Bill Belichick was officially hired as UNC's next head football coach. Despite being one of the winningest NFL coaches in the modern era, there are some doubts about whether...
  8. Pondering 12-0 in 2025. Inside the Pylon Asks, Do Duck Fans See Another 12-0? - Athlon Sports I see a floor of 10-2 which = a return to the PO. Maybe this time as the Coveted 5 seed? 😁 8 home games? I guess Athlon is calling the 5-seed for PBD? Nice math skills, right? BRUTAL!
  9. Stewart Mandel, The Athletic ($) - UNC Will Regret Hiring Bill Belichick. 🦨
  10. Weigman has signed with his hometown Houston.
  11. Schedule Story Lines from Yardbarker. Big Ten Champion Oregon Ducks' 2025 schedule release has plenty of storylines worth noting in quest to repeat WWW.YARDBARKER.COM Oregon is still focused on the goals that are in front of them, but while they wait to figure out who their opponent is going to be between Ohio State and Tennessee for the Rose Bowl matchup... Future Rose Bowl Odds- -1.5 vs. Ohio State; -4.5 vs. Tennessee. Opaque Ohio State! Violate the Vols!
  12. ON Wisconsin! Should be changed to NO Wisconsin 😧 The Badgers finished 15th in the conference in 2024 and will not be bowling for the first time in 23 years. QB Tyler Van Dyke who was out most of 2024 is in the portal. Wisconsin plays 7 of the 8 B1G teams that finished in the top 8 in 2024. Play 3 B1G Playoff teams, one in Madison and two on the road, and the 1st PO team out, Alabama, on the road. How about these apples? From Week 6 through Week 10 - At Michigan, Iowa, Ohio State, OFF, at OREGON. Then UW before tripping to Indiana, playing Committee No. 20 Illinois, and at Minnesota for the rivalry game. Whew!
  13. Note her hand reaching for his wallet 😁. THIS is what true love looks like. 😍 Billy's move makes sense. In North Carolina you can marry your 1st cousin and the statutory age of consent is 13. 😋
  14. Is Tom Brady eligible? Check the record for The Curmudgeon with and without Tom. This hire confirms that Chapel Hill is a 55 and older community for coaches wanting to retire to North Carolina. (He'll have to sneak his paramour through the back door 😁) When an AD has reached puberty and is still using the name 'Bubba,' you might want to double-check his decision-making. What's the over/under on Bubba having tar on his heels? Will 17- and 18-year-olds flock to BB because he won the Super Bowls in New England? Or because of his beguiling personality? 🤪 No group is happier over this hire than the scribes covering UNC football. 🤓
  15. It's a PLAYOFF - Lose the Bowls! OBD should open at home in the 2nd round vs. the remaining lowest-seeded team. CFB needs the money. The NFL Business-Person Owners play ONE game at a neutral site. Follow the folks with the $. If a game is played in Buffalo in January, thems the breaks. Home fans deserve to be rewarded and not sent hither and yon paying jack-up airfares, hotel prices, and absurd ticket prices. No. 1 seed OBD. No home game(s.) Pasadena, Dallas or Miami, Atlanta. If you don't want to follow the NFL model, simply follow the model the NCAA uses for its football playoff championships. FUBAR! 💩
  16. Be fair, Charles! The Water Boys at Northwestern are 5* Smarties! 😁
  17. One early reaction; Michigan and Indiana play 5 of the 6 B1G teams not playing in the 2024 postseason. Purdue and its new coach, Barry Odom, are once again being handed one of the toughest B1G schedules. Week 12 and 13 are OBD's only B1G back-to-back home games; Minnesota and USC. Ducks play 8 teams that play in the postseason in 2024, including FCS No. 1 seed Montana State. OBD's B1G opener at no-bowl NW will be played before the 3rd and final OOC game vs. Beavis. 2 trips Central, NW + Iowa, and 2 trips Eastern, Penn State, and Rutgers. 1st game for the Ducks vs. one of the teams that played in CFB's 1st game, The State University of New Jersey, a/k/a Rutgers. All and all, including the OOC games, a 'manageable schedule; especially, when considering the odd years, at least through 2028 are the years OBD plays five B1G road games. Trash Tennessee! Obscure Ohio State!

  19. No Surprise. The Varsity Broadcasters Will be in the Rose Bowl Booth. I'm so happy that Gus Johnson will not be there. 😎 Oregon Ducks' Rose Bowl Broadcast Team Announced: Kirk Herbstreit? WWW.YARDBARKER.COM As the No. 1 Oregon Ducks await their opponent in the Rose Bowl Game in the College Football Playoff, ESPN revealed that Kirk Herbstreit and crap Fowler will be in the broadcast booth for the... If the opponent is Ohio State, Herbie does not pump his alma mater. (I continue to miss Keith Jackson 😒) BLAST THE BUCKS! THROTTLE TENNESSEE!
  20. Some Modest Support for Gabe. Heisman Candidate Dillon Gabriel SATURDAYBLITZ.COM The Heisman Finalists have been announced. One of the fab four to sit in the front row in NYC will be Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel, the Big Ten Offensive P
  21. Help, the Committee is leaking! Massive leak hits College Football Playoff, investigation underway SATURDAYBLITZ.COM The College Football Playoff (CFP) is dealing with a controversy following a leak that spoiled the final rankings for fans. For the first time in CFP history, " ... maintain trust and transparency in the selection process." 🤣 There are none so blind as those who will not see. 🤪🤮💩
  22. Great take, Charles! A few thoughts. 1. Using Rivals makes sense. Focusing on the average recruiting ranking per player is the best indicator that a program is bringing in impact players. 2. As Urban Meyer noted on B1G Today, the O-line is the most difficult position to recruit and develop. Experienced O-line players in the portal will be in demand. (Especially, in Columbus, Ohio.) 3. Having a Blue Chip Roster (BCR) via recruiting or combined recruiting and portal pickups matters and then some. No Team that won the BCS or a 4-team PO title did so without a BCR. Now, with a 16 or 17-game schedule, the depth and talent of every roster will be challenged. If the BCR Natty requirement holds up in 2024/25, one-third of the field, ASU, Boise State, Indiana, and SMU have no chance of winning it all. 4. The 8 B1G recruiting winners Charles identified likely make the cut if a Super League is coming. The others will look to be added based on tradition and/or location. Do you need two teams in LA? Two teams in Michigan? 5. If the House settlement is approved, how many P4 teams will step up to the plate and pay $20M+ to its student-athletes every season? How many teams will be able to afford the cost of being in the FBS mix? In today's world of NIL and unrestrained CFB free agency, how many programs have a coach with the chops and the finances to recruit well, portal pick with aplomb, and blend the players into a cohesive 'All for One' unit? How many coaches have the energy to meet the demands of today's game? Saint Nick exited to ESPN; thank goodness OBD has ABR (Always Be Recruiting) Dan the Man. Thanks again, Charles. Another enlightening take. Total Tennessee! Overwhelm Ohio State!
  23. Ducks Wire reports that OBD/ Division Street has a B1G NIL deal in the works for Stewart. Does he go pro now and start the clock running on his free agency or return to be the No. 1 WR on the Defending National Championship 😍(knocks head) team. Evan's QB at A+M, Connor Weigman, is in the portal.
  24. As the No. 1 seed, Oregon wins the Rose Bowl and gets its choice in the 3rd round between the Orange and Cotton Bowls. Dan can play Texas in Miami if he so desires but it's, obviously, farther from Eugene. And knowing Dan, perhaps he'll say bring it on in Jerry's World. He does have a QB who has hooked the Horns. So long as the B1G has 4 teams on the Left Coast, the majority of conference champ games, if they continue to be played will be played in the East. So long as bowls are part of the playoff, the majority of games will be played in Dixie. This season, it's 5-2 with the No. 1 seed and a G5 team getting to play in the West. Does Petitti care? 14 trumps 4. That's what OBD signed up for. Perfect payback? Beat Georgia in the same stadium where Danno and OBD were embarrassed in Dan's opening game. I'm hoping the CFB Powers-That-Be kiss the bowls goodbye and follow the NFL 14-team PO model. Oregon should be hosting the lowest remaining seed in the 2nd round in Autzen Stadium.
