  1. From Buckeyes Wire - Ohio State football defeats Texas: 5 takeaways from CFP semifinal BUCKEYESWIRE.USATODAY.COM Things didn’t come nearly as easy for Ohio State against Texas in a CFP semifinal, but in the end, the Buckeyes did what they needed to win and advance to the College Football Playoff nationa…
  2. Oregon is a half-share media revenue partner through the next media deal but gets 1/18th of what OBD, Indiana, Penn State, and Ohio State bring in from the CFB PO and the B1G makes from the CBB Tournament. We sure as 💩 ain't sharing any of our share with the Pac-2!
  3. Who knew, Jeremiah Smith could be covered? The D except in Autzen, never let Ohio State down the entire season. It wasn't pretty but it sets up a shot to stuff the Domers. The ACC facilitates ND's independence. $20M + so far for ND and the good Fathers aren't sharing the loot. Buckeyes open -9.5! Marcus Freeman beat PSU and James Franklin but I don't believe he will defeat his alma mater.
  4. Spot On but I don't think Sark will fire himself. Second year in a row, we have a champ game without an ESS EEE SEE team in the mix.
  5. Beck + the Canes open at 'home' on 8/30/25 vs Notre Dame. Game No. 4 is also in the Dolphins home stadium against a Florida team that significantly improved during the season. I'll take the Over on the Gators having more fans on hand. Good luck. Yuck, yuck.
  6. And travel is terrible for the student-athletes. That's why we just added NO. Ill. as a football member.😉
  7. After handing OBD thorns in the Rose Bowl, how about making the loss slightly less painful by winning it all? The Ultimate Cotton Bowl Playoff Preview: Ohio State has achieved liftoff. Can Texas bring the Buckeyes back to Earth? SATURDAYTRADITION.COM Ohio State looks unbeatable. Can Texas derail the Buckeyes' championship dreams? We break down the Playoff semifinal and pick the winner.
  8. Et tu, Saturday Tradition? Little Game James strikes again in Penn State’s crushing Playoff loss SATURDAYTRADITION.COM James Franklin just can't shake the moniker. He's now 4-20 in games against Top 10 teams, and this loss was the worst of all.
  9. PSU - SSDD 😧 What's next for Penn State after Orange Bowl loss? It starts with James Franklin, who's 1-18 vs. top-5 teams - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM Franklin clearly has some block against elite foes, and his roster has all sorts of questions to iron out in 2025
  10. It's been a while since Happy Valley was all that Happy. When is the last time Penn State won a national championship in football? FANSIDED.COM The Penn State Nittany Lions are often considered one of the blue bloods of college football. It's hard to not think about Happy Valley, about Beaver Stadium, a
  11. Death, Taxes, and Little Game, James. Rinse and Repeat. In his career at PSU, James has won 1 game against a top-5 team. Ohio State in 2016. Franklin wins a lot of games but never the BIG game. Last night, PSU lost leads of 10-0, 17-10, and 24-17. And with its field position, why wasn't PSU playing for OT? A bad mistake by Allar. But he shouldn't have been throwing the ball.
  12. Beck never impressed me as a leader. Perhaps he has more talent than Stetson Bennett but not close to Bennett's leadership chops. Beck was a turnover machine in 2024. He isn't close to Ward as an athlete and if MIA boosters pay the same amount for Beck as they did Ward they are making a mistake. This could be the final nail in Cristobal's coffin. Leaving the SEC for the ACC to improve your draft stock? Hmmm. 😁
  13. Why would OBD add an extra game? Texas advances to Atlanta and it will be the Horns 17th game of the season. It will be Ohio State's 16th game. Finish at the top of the B1G and there is no problem with the SOS. None. The first two conference games in 2025 are on the road. The team travels to the Central time zone to play Northwestern, plays a Home game against Beavis (OR ST Paid $1,5M of 'our $' to sign QB Murphy), and then travels to the Eastern time zone to play Penn State. OBD will also travel to Iowa and Rutgers in 2025 and play a 5th conference road game in Seattle. OBD team needs no more wear and tear than already scheduled. Certainly do not need a game to goose SOS that it could lose. In the Playoff era, big-time OOC games are not worth the candle; especially, for a member of the Power 2.
  14. In 2025 OBD's 1st B1G game is at Northwestern on 9/13, between the OK State and Beavis home games.
  15. CHOKE with a Capital C. Come on MAN! You're coming back next season so I hope you will have a redemptive opportunity. But I'm not sure that I wouldn't make you hitch hike home.
  16. NITS 35-14 1 TO 4 sacks 275 passing OT: ND caught Georgia Tech + Georgia without their starting QB. Played 4 G5 teams and the Irish's usual ACC suspects. Gave up 500+ yards vs USC. Although, PSU also struggled at SC. Look at the post-season to date. The B1G is kicking booty (sometimes against brother B1Gs 😧) and PSU has played a tougher schedule than the Domers. Let's Go NITS!
  17. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey is the man in front of the camera. Our B1G Commissioner speaks softly but carries a B1G Stick. Using the ultimate PO committee rankings, this is what Tony P's 14-team PO field would have been in 2024-25. This or something akin will be the PO format in 2026-27. 1. OREGON - Bye 9. Boise State at 8. Indiana 13. Miami at 4. Penn State 12. Arizona State at 5. Notre Dame ----------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Georgia - Bye 10. SMU at 7. Tennessee 14. Clemson (Kiff 1st out 😁) at 3. Texas 11. Alabama (stop the whining) at 6. Ohio State Not in the Petitti plan but what should be the format, Oregon plays the winner of the Indiana/Boise game at Autzen. Georgia plays the winner of SMU at Tennessee in Athens, 'Tween the Hedges.' The above mirrors the model of the NFL 1st round. However, No. 1 AFL KC and No. 1 NFL Detroit will play the lowest seeded team remaining after the 1st round at home. If they continue to win they play at home before this year's champ game in New Orleans. The NFL model is the same used by the NCAA for all football playoffs it conducts except for re-seeding the field. The NCAA does not reseed the CBB tournament and I see no reason for reseeding an FBS tournament. GO NITS! GO BUCKS!
  18. Which One of These is Not Like the Others? 🤪
  19. THIS, when there was no exit fee to be paid. When the Pac-2 had not sued for damages. When 10 members whether board members or not could have joined to file BK. And the people who were willingly held up are supposed to be some of the brightest on the block, right? 🤓 If only fans had standing and could sue for Breach of Fiduciary Duty with a side order of GROSS 🤮 Negligence. Perfect timing with the Ho(u)se Settlement on the horizon. It was and is a B1G deal to have escaped this insanity.
  20. 30, TEXAS is on an island all by itself. Bevo, as witnessed when UGA was attacked by Bevo at the "We're Back! Sugar Bowl" game, is loyal to its royal self and no one else. Texas leveraged Scott's merger proposal into a $300M Disney Longhorn Network mistake. (And to save face, Larry added CU and Utah and cut USC's preferred payment. This did not have a happy ending for all concerned.) I was far from the only football fan in the preseason who noted the difficulty of UGA, Bama, Oklahoma, etc. schedules, compared to the Texas schedule. And the schedules are the same in 2025! It will be no surprise in 2025 if several SEC PO-contending teams have three losses. It also be no surprise if Texas is again playing in the SEC champ game. The B1G has done a far better job of mixing it up. No Michigan or Ohio State for OBD in 2025. These two and Penn State in 2027. (Get your 2027 tickets now; Ohio State and Penn State trip to Autzen in 2027.) One glaring issue beyond the current B1G schedules formatted through 2028, if the ACC and SEC stay at eight conference games, should the B1G drop a conference game? Come On Bucks! Come on Nits. We need the dues.
  21. Keep recruiting and picking the portal as Dan has done to date and those who stay will be champions. Huge transfer portal win should make Oregon fans grieving process a little easier FANSIDED.COM Dan Lanning is taking a page out of Ohio State's book as he revamps Ducks offense.
  22. This player will help the RB cause. No. 1 running back in transfer portal commits to college football powerhouse WWW.YARDBARKER.COM The NCAA transfer portal has seen yet another elite name come off the board.
  23. Was inviting Bevo to join y'all male bovine excrement, or what? SEC fans unable to root for Texas or Ohio State in Cotton Bowl: Can they both lose? WWW.USATODAY.COM Hardcore SEC fans are faced with a difficult dilemma for the Cotton Bowl. Do they cheer for hated conference rival Texas or Ohio State from Big Ten? Hey Sankey, the invite was a missed-steak! 😜 And while you're at it Chief, why not hand Bevo a B12 schedule? Opinion: With light schedule, Texas is quickly making SEC friends - or is that enemies? WWW.USATODAY.COM Texas fans behaving badly overshadows bigger problem: SEC coaches/ADs not happy about Longhorns easy path to league's championship game. GO BUCKS! GO NITS!
  24. SEC fans are on the HORNS of a dilemma. 😁 SEC fans unable to root for Texas or Ohio State in Cotton Bowl: Can they both lose? WWW.USATODAY.COM Hardcore SEC fans are faced with a difficult dilemma for the Cotton Bowl. Do they cheer for hated conference rival Texas or Ohio State from Big Ten?
