  1. This would not be a good hire-I agree!
  2. Chip Proved he take take a good team and make it great, Lanning has proved he can make an already great team play to their expectations. Whoopy doo.
  3. I think somebody has cold feet.
  4. Ga sure has some great defensive players thats for sure.
  5. Since we are speculating -----Lannings players make him look good. The Ga defense are very athletic monsters, and they are 2 and 3 deep. That will take several years to accomplish at ANY PAC school incl USC much less Oregon. We have some big guys but not nearly as fast and strong as Ga does on the whole.--So the question is will he be able to bring the same results to our Ducks in a short time period?
  6. Until we know who he would bring in can we really speculate as to this?
  7. He is no doubt a very good DC but......Can he be a CEO? can he get in the face of both DCs and OCs? Can he recruit high octane offensive players? Can he make in game adjustments to the Offense?
  8. If he hires someone in the less than 4 mill range I think hes decided that hes tired of throwing $$ at the program. Maybe thats why Mullens has included other boosters into the decision?
  9. You are probably right But I dont think Lanning is our man any more than Bellotti. He has NO experience as a HEAD coach. Thats just not good enough IMO.
  10. Why is that funny? These other coaches will stick for maybe a year or 2, once their offered more they will be out the door. I think most good recruits are looking for stability.
  11. Personally I would love Bellotti to come back for 3 years or so. Develop in house once again.
  12. I dont think he can do that at Oregon with our players--just sayin
  13. I love Chip for the old days-Maybe he could make it happen again? But Chip Loves $$$$$
  14. Honestly I cant imagine hiring a head coach and not allowing them to pick their assistant coaches.
  15. Thats the 8 million dollar question right there.
  16. My hope for the Ducks is to be innovative--Rob Mullens job is to make that happen. PKs job is to pay for it and my job is to ALWAYS be a fan.
  17. First off Im not the only one here that likes fast paced entertaining offense. Secondly I would prefer someone from the west to be our coach. Thirdly if you want the best recruits to come to Oregon you have to hire someone that is offensive minded.
  18. one other thing The PAC is a REALLY WEAK conference-Im not sure if most PAC teams could win the Mtn West.
  19. I would still be a Duck fan But I wouldnt watch the games--just wait for a good outcome on the score.
  20. To me its just another MC-Taggert deal
