  1. Sad demise to the pac 12 (or whatever we call it now). Oregon should surface somewhere but Cal, OSU, WSU, ASU and possibly Stanford....what will befall them. Intensely dislike what's become of the tradition of Saturday college football. Money, NIL, portal etc have killed it...at least west of the Mississippi River. Tough to take. I guess there's still the golf channel.
  2. Great idea but since I gave up my tix after 43 yrs, I won't be attending.. Hope you all have a great time though
  3. I hate what's happening to college football. It's now the pros. Those with $$$ will make those without almost an afterthought. I have been going to Oregon games since 1963 (while Jr. in High School) and after having had season tickets for 43 yrs, now doubt that I'll ever attend another game. Looks like fishing, golf and pickleball are my final outlets. How sad
  4. Greg Byrne is the AD at Alabama. He worked for the UofO for a number of years (here in Medford for 2 yrs). He loved Oregon as his father was AD here for about a decade . He would be a natural to contact.
  5. Apple? Not interested. Will have to find other interests if this is the case. My fishing pole is calling
  6. Love Cam & how he got through all his injuries & really appreciate his mother and her past involvement. Great people and I wish him nothing but the best for whatever avenue he chooses. I'll miss him.
  7. Really smart and thoroughly funny in a most deadpan way. I'll miss him and his obscure thoughts on all things not football. If not a creative genius, very close to it. RIP coach.
  8. I also wish to thank you for all that you've done and continue to do.
  9. OSU 27-24 1 TO 3 sacks 275 yds passing
  10. Washington 38-35 1 TO 1 sack 238
  11. What an interesting person.
  12. won't use Amazon unless absolutely have to. Don't like what he's done to retailers/shopkeepers around the world. Guess I'm an old dog facing new tricks but it's come down to the principle of what's best for the local retail community. Bezos is wildly successful, but horribly obnoxious in oh so many ways. I'll listen to Jerry and Jorgy before I bow to the Bezos option. Streaming elsewhere is an option but frankly, the way most sports have become hitched to the magnitude of the almighty $$$ dominating has turned me off. Don't watch NFL (other than Chargers), NBA (ever) and most College football........ Golf is the lone outlet now. There must be a fishing channel somewhere and of course 50s and 60s TV and movies. Bah humbug
  13. Oregon 49-28 t/o 3 sacks 3 yds pass 175
  14. Then there was 1994. Started out with a victory over Portland State but then lost to both Hawaii and Utah (both ugly losses)........ After that it was a bad loss to WSU Oct 8 but went undefeated & won the Pac 10 and went to the Rose Bowl on Jan 2, 1995.
  15. Georgia 35-17 1 to 2 sacks 297 yds passing
  16. Some people want to infer the most negative about any scenario. Others see the glass as half full or better. For better or worse (bump and grind etc) it's part of the game day experience. Leading cheers has changed over the years. One year at Stanford they had a particularly fun cheer as after a bad Oregon play the Stanford cheer team came up with "The Ducks have lost their down".......or from the 50s "harass them, harass them, make them relinquish the ball" Boy how things have changed.
  17. That should be Chad Cota, not his son Chase who is a WR this yr at Oregon
  18. He needs to establish a resume that includes continuing good health (not injury prone) and on field excellence. Neither has been established to any degree. Two full seasons under his belt would go a long way to getting him to the next level.
