  1. When Mari-no-O left, DeBoer was at the top of my list for OBD. I was extremely impressed with DeBoer’s work at Fresno State. I was disappointed and scared when I learned DeBoer was headed to UW. (While I was thrilled that Riley was headed to U$C.) When it became clear DL was gonna be our guy, I was pleased and excited. With all that said, I do think DL has a KD problem. I’ve seen a lot of people saying that DL had a good game plan but OBD didn’t execute. It is the coach’s job to teach players how to execute. And on paper, OBD has better players. So if Fusky players executed better, it was bc they were better coached. However, I am impressed with DL’s improvement from year 1, and I KNOW that DL is learning from KD. I am 💯 that DL will eventually flip the script and beat KD consistently.
  2. That looks like the stylesheet isn’t loading. It’s most likely performance-related. Thanks again for all you do for the forum!!! 🙏
  3. With the larger playoff, it opens the door door for 2-loss conf champs. That certainly would have benefited the PAC. And w the B1G eliminating divisions, that might be a help down the line.
  4. “We smoked it all.” Classic! Unfortunately, Cliff is presumed to have CTE and was in jail last I read. 💔
  5. UGH—the kid was just trying to feel better after a super sh*!!y week for the Beavs. I hope he gets help and finds safer coping mechanisms.
  6. For the season, OBD are #4 ATS at 9-2-1. Fuskies are 5-6-0, which is so low it was too hard to count the rank. So it seems that if anyone is being underestimated, it’s OBD.
  7. @QuackAttack, I haven’t seen anything from the CFP committee to suggest your result. From the first week, OBD have been the top 1-loss team. As each other team loses, they are dutifully ranked behind OBD. I actually think there are reasons to rank other 1-loss teams above OBD, but I will not describe them bc they aren’t worthy.
  8. My dream scenario: #3 OR defeats #2 MI in the Rose Bowl #1 GA defeats #4 TX in the Sugar Bowl OR avenges last year by whooping GA in the Natty A girl can dream… 🤞 As an aside, I think the powers that be (aka networks) are also dreaming of this scenario.
  9. I love that “Transitive Property Loss” is a thing now. As a math geek, it tickles every time I read it.
  10. Thanks for doing the dirty work—I am surprised the Fuskies are realistic.
  11. I know the committee isn’t supposed to care about this, but getting to see the B1G champ play the Pac champ in the Rose Bowl in the Pac’s last year would be epically poetic.
  12. OBD v UM in the Rose Bowl 🙏💪🤞
  13. More pop-sports-psychology from Dr Hilarius… The better team wins the rematch. OBD should run away with this.
  14. some notes: - OBD still highest ranked 1-loss team, despite tOSU’s loss - Beavs are the ONLY 4-loss team ranked - AZ is 2nd highest ranked 2-loss team (behind only LSU by 1) = serious love for the Pac
  15. My predictions after this week: 1 UM 2 Georgia 3 UW 4 FSU 5 tOSU 6 OBD 7 Tex My predictions after next week: 1 Georgia 2 UM 3 OBD 4 Tex 5 UW 6 FSU 7 tOSU This assumes FSU loses to Louisville. If they don’t, FSU at 3 and the rest move down 1. I just really, really want OBD to play in the Rose Bowl, and bet the football gods (aka networks) do too.
  16. Brilliant 🤣 This! I never played football, but I played highly competitive soccer. And in one of our last games, we played the national player of the year in the Semis at Regionals. It was my job to never leave her side and never let her get the ball without a fight. By the end of the game, I had a yellow card and she had stopped even trying—we hung out at midfield and chatted. Oh, and we won the game and advanced further than any Oregon team before us. Sorry for the trip down memory lane, but the strategy works.
  17. But tOSU lost by more and in November. Also, Ducks dominated UW except when they didn’t. UM dominated tOSU wire to wire. Also, tOSU might well be the best 1-loss team today. But when the buck-eyes are eating queso next week, OBD will be beating the #3 team.
  18. Dontae Manning: Next Man Up TFW the backup to your 5-star frosh is a 5-star sophomore. I love how Manning describes how he has improved his technique and how he supports Florence.
  19. I think it would be fair to rank tOSU higher than the ducks but below the Fuskies this week. But next Friday, OBD will be dismantling the #3 team while tOSU will be sitting on their thumbs. The committee would surely take a 1-loss conf champ over a 1-loss loser. Also, we know the committee has looked more favorably at losses at the beginning of the season compared to November.
  20. Yeah—the rain is why Martinez ran for 90 more yards on the Fuskies than he did against OBD.
  21. Uiagelelei sacks Uiagelelei for the win was my stretch goal. 🤩🏆💪
