One thing I've noticed this year with Lanning that Mario and others refused to do: When the Ducks are on D, and the offense substitutes, he runs on different defenders and the refs hold the O from snapping the ball as they get on the field. This disrupts the offense and runs the play clock down so they can't adjust to our defense. I've been yelling for years for Oregon to do this but they wouldn't. I think Lanning is doing it as a strategy. What say you?

I'm going with the positive here (don't tell my wife). After reading the Fishduck articles this week about the Safe defense and Cover 2: Oregon plays Cover 2 taking away Stanfords only weapon, the deep ball to whatever tall reciever they pick. Front 7 continues to crush the run and crushes Tanner repeatedly. Our O runs (and passes) wild as Stanford concedes by early 3rd quarter, but Lanning refuses to let up. Ducks 55-10

I was skeptical in the beginning with the rotation, but it seems to be shaking out quite well. Certainly can't say the pecking order hasn't been earned.

It's a Team game. Right now they are playing like it. One part is down, the others pick it up. They will grow together. Won't always win, but watching them approach their best is awesome to see.

I think maybe he is so Alpha that everyone else around him just shrinks. You have to empower your team and coaches or else they'll just stand around waiting for you to do something. Plus, other Alphas don't react well to being squashed. Just a thought

It's been awesome. My only anxiety comes from PTSD regarding previous admins. Expecting the same stagnant abuse we endured the last few years. It's been a true TEAM effort and we can see them growing and trusting each other more with every series. It will only get better. Everyone is new! New young coaches, transfers, first time starters? Coming together

Not only is the line playing well, the play calling scheme is setting them up for success - see the roll out plays on the deep ball. Plus, players like Harper, Connerly, and Jackson Powers are playing great too. If all I recall is a couple dumb false starts, we're rockin it!
