Steven A replied to McDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Come on Charles, tell us what you really think. -
Just two days after de-committing from the Utah Utes, 247Sports three-star athlete Justius Lowe, a Lake Oswego wide receiver/defensive back, implied he will have breaking news at 7 p.m. Full article at Oregonlive Prediction: Oregon Ducks poised for key in-state commitment - oregonlive.com

Not to me! I think he was a huge success for the Pac 11 + 1 -
Well, the Ducks seem to be starting the season strong with 12 indoor personal bests and four top-10 program marks at the Cougar Classic. Williams Lowers School Record in Opener - University of Oregon Athletics (goducks.com)

Congressman Looking at Mario's Miami Contract
Steven A replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The real problem with these contracts is when the coach qualifies for state retirement benefits. Donors may pay the salary, but the taxpayers pay the retirement. Aren't Aliotti and Bellotti paid the highest state employee retirements? -
Former Sooners Star Calls Out "Clowns" Who Follow Riley to USC
Steven A replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Maybe front channeling, as there is no sheriff in town. Plus, they may have the same reasons .... more money, lesser competition, easier path to the playoffs. -
And the towel boy.

The problem with this ranking is that if they finish #11 we'll never hear the end of how they OVERACHIEVED.

Emmert vs the folks that set up the folks that set up Division Street, this time we have a guy bringing a tooth pick to a nuclear war. -
I'm hoping for inflation in 2022 and beyond.

Jalil Florence not taking any more OVs
Steven A replied to kirklandduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
In regard to Cyrus Moss, Andrew Nemec mentioned in a podcast with UM people ( Listen: The lasting recruiting legacy of Mario Cristobal at Oregon - oregonlive.com ) (audio embedded in article and you may want to fast forward to Nemec's interview) that on his official visit he was compared to KT in build at the same stage in his career and liked what Feld had done to KT's body. So, chalk one up to the 'stashe. -
The Lanning Effect: Best Off-Season for Oregon Fans Yet?
Steven A replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
In the words of the immortal Duck prophet "The problem was–I could not possibly see a candidate to replace him that would be as good or better … until". No truer words ever spoken. MC was the Devil we knew. -
From the Oregonian, "His return brings Oregon back to 83 projected scholarship players in 2022, including five running backs, though the futures of Travis Dye and CJ Verdell are not publicly declared. They’re automatically entered in the upcoming NFL Draft and have until Feb. 4 to opt out if they wish to return to UO for their senior seasons." Oregon Ducks running back Sean Dollars removing name from transfer portal, returning to UO - oregonlive.com

Andrew Nemec has a great take in his podcast Ducks attack transfer portal; Beavers juggling scholarships: The Recruiting Trail podcast - oregonlive.com That there are more "star power" offensive players in the West than defensive and that Lanning should have the edge with D recruits. So, Riley's edge in the offensive area wouldn't be as significant as Lanning's in the defensive area.

His hire reminds me of when the Giants got Barry Bonds. Always thought he was a A...., but at least from then on he was our A....

Not sure ratings are all that accurate. It is what you do with your degree, not necessarily where it is from. Also, is the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact included in the rankings? The Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact | University of Oregon (uoregon.edu) This is a one-of-a-kind program. Phil heavily recruited the advisors ... having custom Nikes presented to them (including specialized for a grandchild of one whom he researched had special needs) AND letting them know if they need ANYTHING to advance their research, he is a phone call and checkbook away at all times as opposed to normal educational red tape.

Well, Bobby Ewing shower scene part 2 if they want to continue the series. Disappointing at best. -
