  1. Since this is BBall, rebuilds are much quicker with the portal and HS stars that can be good from day one. You only need a couple and I'm sure LSU can afford some big NILs.
  2. Bride's maid? Overton was born in College Station when his parents worked in athletics administration at Texas A&M. "I was considering Oregon before I went (on my last visit) but once I stepped on that campus and got to the real stuff that’s when I knew.” Webster’s “the real Stuff” = NIL $$$ ?
  3. Since Utah is No. 10, I guess they didn't watch much Pac 12 last year. Ranking 10 real CFB Playoff title contenders WWW.SI.COM College Football HQ
  4. It will also depend on NIL deals that go beyond the college. Thibs has an airline deal that I am assuming goes beyond college.
  5. My money is on Riley running from the SEC. I think OU would have matched $$$. Kelly I think is a money grab.
  6. Hopefully no April Fools for us. Decision date locked in for five-star defensive lineman Lebbeus LT Overton 247SPORTS.COM The latest here.
  7. Hard to legislate bowl requirements. NIL people may want a healthy pro, so they could add to the problem.
  8. I think I read that Travis dye took the lineman out to dinner to break his news that he was leaving. I hope that it is true and that he used his SC Mastercard to pay.
  9. Or, "It CAN'T be as Bad as Last Year" "When the Tough Got Going, Oh Yea, Never Got Going" "OSU Basketball, Madness is Buying Tickets, Forget That"
  10. Who wants 3 - 28 (0 for 2022) experience? Oh, I don't think the ship is sinking, it's next to the Titanic.
  11. I wonder if the savings/"payout" to each school will be the same as a NY6 bowl game. And, another parting shot at Larry. Thanks George.
  12. From the Pac 12 Website Pac-12 Conference announces plans for flexible remote work environment PAC-12.COM Pac-12 to forego permanent headquarters to best support employees and deliver savings to member universities; production facility location to be determined for continued broadcast...
  13. And Erik Skopil at 24/7 thinks there will be more, but not Paopao or Rogers
  14. I think we should all now refer to our former coach as Mari, since he doesn't use the O.
  15. Kinda DOA with Mari(no)o
  16. Dickie V finally woke up.... Dick Vitale Hearing About Rampant “Cheating” In College Basketball WWW.MSN.COM ESPN’s Dick Vitale has been hearing a lot about cheating with regards to the transfer portal. Vitale tweeted out that he spoke with a coach in college basketball and how it’s pretty widespread. He...
  17. Back East they know, that is why they say O-regone.
  18. There were 2,646 FBS players to enter the transfer portal during the 2020-21 transfer cycle, sources said. That was up from 1,692 in 2019-20 and 1,717 in 2018-19.
  19. Alex you ask "Do you believe it’ll settle once the nation has grown accustomed to the new NIL regulations, or has the NFL’s superstar empowerment movement put us past the point of no return?" "Settle" is an interesting word. I do not think things will settle down, I think new wrinkles will continue to develop and we will grow accustom to unsettling. And Yes, we are past the point of no return with player power in college football. We have survived it in the pros (for those who still watch) and now will learn to survive it in college or just turn off the damn TV (Amazon prime reading anyone?). Lastly, I really hope we NEVER see the refs protect the star players like they do in the pros (I'm looking at 3 and 1/2 steps in basketball without traveling calls unless you're an unproven rookie, and Tom Brady not being allowed to fall on his ash without a flag). As of now we already see it in regard to refs being afraid of some coaches so those teams get favorable calls.
  20. School Record, 10 Wins in San Diego - University of Oregon Athletics GODUCKS.COM Freshman Shana Grebo broke the 39-year-old UO record in the 400-meter hurdles Saturday.
  21. Aren't those first three words the GOAT? Who cares if it was women's tennis? Ducks Sweep UW on Senior Day - University of Oregon Athletics GODUCKS.COM Oregon swept past Pac-12 leader and No. 20 Washington, 4-0, in Sunday's home regular season finale.
  22. Or, a less stubborn Chip. If you can't move Farley, go around him!
  23. 2 things, don't forget L.A. and, eternity isn't long enough.
  24. Sounds like the Pac 12 Network is just the same as ESPN ...... in 1979. A fun read on Wikipedia for those who weren't around at the inception/conception.
  25. Or, does enrolling without playing a down in a game allow another free transfer? And then will accepting NIL $ count as playing in games if your NIL $ is tied to your school? So many questions, so few brain cells to come up with answers.
